WP:FILMS Welcome

edit
Welcome!

Hey, welcome to WikiProject Films! We're a group of editors working to improve Wikipedia's coverage of films, awards, festivals, filmmaking, and film characters. If you haven't already, please add {{User WikiProject Films}} to your user page.

A few features that you might find helpful:

  • Most of our important discussions about the project itself and its related articles take place on the project's main discussion page; it is highly recommended that you watchlist it.

There is a variety of interesting things to do within the project; you're free to participate however much—or little—you like:

  • Want to jump right into editing? The style guidelines show things you should include.
  • Want to assist in some current backlogs within the project? Visit the Announcements template to see how you can help.
  • Want to know how good our articles are? Our assessment department has rated the quality of every film article in Wikipedia. Check it out!

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask another fellow member, and we'll be happy to help you. Again, welcome! We look forward to seeing you around! Nehrams2020 (talk) 23:31, 22 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Notability of Oaker Chronicle

edit

A tag has been placed on Oaker Chronicle requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Blanchardb-MeMyEarsMyMouth-timed 19:27, 23 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Creamy Army

Calm down. They won't delete the page, they can't. Scientizzle is the only person who wants it gone, everyone else knows it's harmless. Creamy3 (talk) 21:24, 27 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

I wouldn't say he's being a jerk, but he is being a fickle-pick. He wants attention I assume. But he's a good person at heart, that I know. Creamy3 (talk) 21:27, 27 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
I'll say. Ha ha ha ha. Creamy3 (talk) 21:30, 27 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

No personal attacks

edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, we would like to remind you not to attack other editors. Please comment on the contributions and not the contributors. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. — Scientizzle 23:16, 27 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Apology

edit

You get all the attention you deserve. Get about fifteen more Creamys, and you'll get much more recognition. Perhaps even "Creamy of the Month". Creamy3 (talk) 23:18, 27 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

February 2008

edit

The recent edit you made to User talk:Creamy11 constitutes vandalism, and has been reverted. Please do not continue to vandalize pages; use the sandbox for testing. Thanks. —αἰτίας discussion 23:35, 27 February 2008 (UTC))Reply

Please refrain from making test edits in Wikipedia articles, such as those you made to Murder, even if your ultimate intention is to fix them. Such edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment again, please use the sandbox. Thank you.
I reverted your change because it is

  • badly spelled
  • An unsupported addition
  • The end-of-page reference added for it doesn't exist and is obviously bogus.

-- ArglebargleIV (talk) 23:37, 27 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

  1. A quick check shows that the book doesn't exist, whether it's called "Homocide in Kazachestan", "Murder in Kazachestan", or even if you spell "Homicide" and/or "Kazakhstan" correctly.
  2. Your references to a 33rd edition and a book of nearly 6000 pages (for a current country that was a province of the Soviet Union in 1973, by the way) was a red flag about a fake source as well.
  3. That was not an attack, that was a warning about putting fake sources and badly written and spelled sources in Wikipedia articles. Errors, however introduced, must be corrected.
  4. Wikipedia is not a game or social club.

Sockpuppetry case

edit

You have been accused of sockpuppetry. Please refer to Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/Creamy3 for evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with notes for the suspect before editing the evidence page. Blueboy96 20:50, 4 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

I am not a sockpuppet

edit

I am only a classmate of Creamy3 who turned me on to Wikipedia. I can only speculate but I believe it was Cookies&CreamForMe that created Chetlover and used that sockpuppet to vandalize other pages.
