This is your Talk page where you can receive messages from other Wikipedians and discuss things with them. At the end of your messages you must put your signature by signing with four ~~~~ (just as I have done) or by pressing the button in the editor bar as shown here in the picture. By the way, you don't need to sign edits that you make in the articles themselves as those messages will be deleted. Another valuable page that may provide information and assistance is User:Persian Poet Gal/"How-To" Guide to Wikipedia. My name is Buster7. If you have any questions or face any initial hurdles, feel free to contact me on my talk page and I will do what I can to assist or give you guidance and contact information. Good Luck editing! |

editWelcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, it's important to be mindful of the feelings of your fellow editors, who may be frustrated by certain types of interaction, such as your addition to User talk:Dbarak. While you probably didn't intend any offense, please do remember that Wikipedia strives to be an inclusive atmosphere. In light of that, it would be greatly appreciated if you could moderate yourself so as not to offend. That person left a template on the page to notify the editor about content they added. Your comment toward them and what you told them to do was completely unnecessary. - Purplewowies (talk) 15:29, 14 August 2012 (UTC)

, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. You are not allowed to edit Wikipedia while the threats stand or the legal action is unresolved.

The situation in question has been resolved. To be honest, I was surprised at how fast it was taken care of, and I appreciate the speed. Creativehumanoid (talk) 21:26, 14 August 2012 (UTC)
Decline reason:
Regardless, we do not tolerate legal threats on Wikipedia. --jpgordon::==( o ) 21:28, 14 August 2012 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I can understand that. Is this a permanent block? I don't have any immediate desires to edit anything, but I sometimes run across things that could use correction or updaing. I apologize for what transpired. I don't often do any editing on Wikipedia, and because of that I'm not up on many of the aspects. I've been dealing with for-profit companies that have been dragging their corporate feet when prompted to do the right thing, so I was expecting the same here. Obviously I was wrong.
Decline reason:
I'd say as a minimum we'd need an actual statement that all threats of legal action have been withdrawn, a commitment to not make any more legal threats, and a commitment not to be so obnoxiously abusive again as you were at User talk:Dbarak -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 22:19, 14 August 2012 (UTC)

I'd be happy to. First, I won't take any legal action. I was not aware of how quickly things can be cleared up here, so I obviously over-reacted. If I have a problem in the future, I know I have other means to address them. This whole thing has been a bit of a learning experience in procedures and culture (and Wiki markup). Again, I don't plan on making any immediate edits. I just like to see accurate information, and when I see something "not quite right," I'd like to be able to fix it. In the past, I've only done this in areas where I was absolutely sure of myself, so it's not like I'm running around making edits. Although I don't contribute a lot, I believe that what I do contribute is accurate. So again, I apologize for making uncalled-for statements. Creativehumanoid (talk) 23:12, 14 August 2012 (UTC)
Accept reason:
That's all we wanted. The goal was to get the legal threat out of the way so that (we hope) you can once again become part of this project; looks like that is what we have, and I'm glad to unblock. Orange Mike | Talk 04:14, 15 August 2012 (UTC)
Thank you Orangemike. I really am sorry for flying off the hook. Too many frustrations in other areas of my life caused me to go a little whacko.
