editWelcome to Wikipedia. I have noticed that some of your recent genre changes, such as the one you made to Oasis (band), have conflicted with our neutral point of view and verifiability policies. While we invite all users to contribute constructively to Wikipedia, we urge all editors to provide reliable sources for edits made. When others disagree, we recommend you to seek consensus for certain edits. Thank you. Please reach consensus. CETTALK 07:53, 23 October 2010 (UTC)
Edit Warring
editPlease take note that you've been reported for edit warring. - CETTALK 19:00, 23 October 2010 (UTC)
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Oasis (band). Users who edit disruptively or refuse to collaborate with others may be blocked if they continue. In particular the three-revert rule states that making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block. If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the talk page to discuss controversial changes. Work towards wording and content that gains consensus among editors. If unsuccessful then do not edit war even if you believe you are right. Post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. —slakr\ talk / 21:02, 23 October 2010 (UTC)
Explanation
editWhen you get into a situation where changes that you make to an article are repeatedly reverted by other people, you can't just obstinately keep making those changes. You need to go to the talk page of the article Talk:Oasis (band), and explain why the change you are making is the right thing to do. Getting the change to stick depends on persuading people that it is correct; it can't be done by force. Regards, Looie496 (talk) 02:00, 24 October 2010 (UTC)
{{unblock|Your reason here}}
, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Elockid (Talk) 15:10, 24 October 2010 (UTC)Crolladder (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
I was blocked for attempting to save Wikipedia from it's pages being wrong,as they keep being edited by criminals who do not know what is right and what is wrong.I spoke to the people on the Talk page and they threatened me and said they would kill me,after this they kept changing it so I change it once and I get blocked?Wikipedia workers you need this to be fixed I should not be blocked,the other people who keep changing should be blocked.Your pages like Oasis (band)are incorrect and I will not be helping you any more if you block again.
Decline reason:
Threatened to kill you? I have a hard time believing this. Please read our guide to requesting unblocking and try again. TNXMan 16:14, 24 October 2010 (UTC)
