Copying within Wikipedia requires proper attribution

edit

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Jimmy Savile sexual abuse scandal into List of scandals in British journalism. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was moved, attribution is not required. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 12:55, 12 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Nurlan Balgimbayev, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Chevron (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Cornelia James (glovemaker)

edit

Hello, in the biography of Cornelia James, last August you inserted a citation mentioning that Lady Diana wore gloves to hide her bitten nails. What is confusing is that it was cited as a "2012 interview" but Cornelia James died in 1999. I don't read Spanish so could you please clarify this? Perhaps somebody in the company in 2012 was quoting their founder? Blue Riband► 04:02, 12 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Blue Riband: It could that the source is wrong, don't hesitate to remove anything that looks inaccurate. --Croskyit (talk) 14:16, 12 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hi Croskyit, thanks for your recent edit to Mohammad bin Salman. I pinged you here on the talk page as I had a few points on the three paragraphs on activists now at the end of the Controversies section. When you’ve got a moment I’d welcome your thoughts on that post (and my initial one above it). Thanks. Tarafa15 (talk) 11:26, 9 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
