Disambiguation
Please be careful when changing. Club Atlético River Plate is not the same as River Plate. And try to avoid redirects such as Inter Milan, that takes to Internazionale
Franco Niell
Thanks for the correction, I belatedly realized that I confused him with Fabian O'Neill, the Uruguayan. :) Sebastian Kessel Talk 23:35, 9 February 2006 (UTC)
- CS, Ideally, to avoid 500000 modifications a week, I only update the tables on monday (or sunday night) after all games have been played for the week. That way, I don't need to go through changing the averages 4 different times. Whichever way you do it is fine by me, just though you may want to save the trouble. :) Sebastian Kessel Talk 04:20, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
- You are by no means stupid... :) Keep up the good work. Sebastian Kessel Talk 19:20, 12 February 2006 (UTC)

Help
Craig, I'll be glad to help. Let me know what you need
Sebastian Kessel Talk 16:07, 14 February 2006 (UTC)
PS: After a post, sign with 4 tildes (~~~~) so your name and timestamp get appended to your last message. :)
- Craig, if you tell me the website and page, I'll help with the translation "como hago para comprar un producto" means "how do I buy a product".
- Also, you might want to read How to edit a page, Help pages, Tutorial. Instructions are very clear there. The quick way to insert an image, though would be:
- Where XXX.gif is the image name, "right" (or "left") is the side and "250px" can be changed to adjust the size.
- Sebastian Kessel Talk 17:18, 14 February 2006 (UTC)
- Craig, I don't really have time to translate the whole page, it's probably set in a standard fashion. If you need help with a particular sentence, let me know and I'll give you a hand. :) Sebastian Kessel Talk 21:33, 14 February 2006 (UTC)
Templates
Earlier I had to ask you not remove "stub" templates — now you're removing {{catneeded}} templates, without adding any catregories. Why? If you don't know what they're for, then ask, don't just remove them. --Phronima 11:03, 15 February 2006 (UTC)
Argentine football
Hi Wolf! Hey, what do you say if you update the 2005-2006 in Argentine football article when all the matches of the round have been played? Otherwise, it takes twice as much work to do it half way, and then do the rest. Just an idea! You can find all the info every monday at Clarin. Take care, and good wiking. Mariano(t/c) 07:08, 20 March 2006 (UTC)
- Well, I believe that updating the hole round on mondays would be good enough, but do as you please. Regarding Clarin's link and Spanish, a few translation for you to use the site:
- Posiciones (Possitions) Pts:Points, J:Played, G:Won, E:Tied, P:Lost, GF:GoalsFor, GC:GoalsAgainst, DG:GoalDifference.
- Goleadores (Top Scorers): Jugador:Player, Equipo:Team, Total:Total, Jugada:Play, Cabeza:Head, T.Libre:FreeKick, Penal:Penalty.
- Descenso (Relegation): Promedio:Average, PJ:Games Played, PTS:Points
- Fixture Fecha:Round, Resultado Final:FinalResult, Resultado Parcial:Partial Result.
- C ya! Mariano(t/c) 07:24, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
Hey, I have noticed you have been contributing to articles like the 2005-06 Heineken Cup and the 2005-06 Guinness Premiership, just in case your interested, feel free to check out Wikipedia:WikiProject Rugby union. Cheers Cvene64 14:32, 23 April 2006 (UTC)

Can you check the birthdates: I find it hard to believe in two brothers born seven weeks apart! Unless there's some strange biology at work there. Johnlp 20:52, 4 May 2006 (UTC)
Re: Quilmes v River Plate
That's correct, the match was suspended at the minute 22 of the second half, and hasn't been officially ended. I wanted to close the section, and I have some experience on how this things end up in the Argentine league. But you're right, I should have waited for the official result. Mariano(t/c) 06:48, 16 May 2006 (UTC)
- I don't recall exactly, but yes, it could be 3 this season. But I think the others were suspended almost at the end of the match. Hey, shit happens everywere, even in switzerland[1]!. Mariano(t/c) 10:11, 16 May 2006 (UTC)

No prob. It's just that putting someone's current age can make an article outdated the next year. Czolgolz 17:55, 21 May 2006 (UTC)

F1 portal featured article
The F1 portal (in which I assume you have some degree of interest, as your name is listed on Wikipedia:WikiProject_Formula_One) is intended to have a regular rotation of a 'featured article'. I've swapped a few in and out over the last couple of months, but I think it would be better if there were more of a community attempt at deciding this, proposals, votes, that kind of thing. So - why not pop over to Portal_talk:Formula_One#Suggestions_for_Featured_Article: and make a suggestion. Ta. 4u1e 00:26, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

WikiProject NASCAR proposed standards
WikiProject NASCAR needs your help! We are in the process of forming our proposed standards which, when complete, will hopefully become a Wikipedia guideline. The guidelines will help editors understand Wikipedia consensus about things like which NASCAR-related articles meet notability standards. Please stop by and let us know what you think! Selected articles on Portal:F1
Hello again.
I dropped notes round a while back to those who have listed themselves at Wikipedia:WikiProject_Formula_One to ask for suggestions for selected articles on portal:Formula One. There was a pretty good response, both in terms of how it might work and of articles suggested. Damon Hill came out with the most support and was brought up to Good Article standard after a lot of work by Skully Collins before going on as the F1 portal selected article a couple of weeks ago. It is now at Featured Article Candidates as a Featured Article candidate (why not drop by and see if you can help polish it further?).
Several people who responded to the original request suggested that a monthly or bi-weekly 'Selected Article' could act as a catalyst for an improvement drive to get more articles up to a higher standard. Although it wasn't quite what I had in mind when I started, this seemed to work pretty well for the Damon Hill article, so I've drafted up a process for doing this more regularly. See Portal_talk:Formula_One/Management_of_selected_articles for details. Essentially the suggestion is that we vote for an article to improve every couple of weeks and at the end of the improvement process the article goes on the portal as the new 'Selected Article'. I'd be grateful for any comments on how this might work - I'm sure some of you are more familiar with things 'Wiki' than me - as well as your votes for the next candidate (by 16 July).
You may also want to help with the article Gilles Villeneuve, which was the next most popular after Damon Hill. The idea is to try and get it up to GA standard by 16 July and then put it on the portal as the 'Selected Article'. I hope you can help! 4u1e 15:05, 2 July 2006 (UTC)
SUUURRE
I only deleted one infobox, and that was by mistake. I now create infoboxes for baseball players. Thanks, User:Clay4president
Infobox
Just to let you know, I only deleted those infoboxes because those players have yet to make their major league debuts. I don't think you really need an infobox that's all messy and looks like this. When a player makes their MLB debut, then I think it will be appropriate to add an infobox. Tell me if you disagree/agree. I personally would like to know what you think.
P.S. I saw you post this edit summary "getting rid of Clay4president's shoddy work ;)" on Claudio Vargas's page. I would appreciate it if you guys would stop this 'little' quarrel over infoboxes before it escalates into something like a feud.
Thanks,

- Why do you think? There have been no roster moves since July 6th. When there is, you can update it. It is considered vandalism. ForestH2 t/c 21:22, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
- ForestH2 can "consider" it vandalism all he wants; that doesn't make it so. Vandalism has to be manifestly bad-faith; from what I can tell, I'm not even sure your edit is wrong. —Bunchofgrapes (talk) 21:46, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
- Updating it when there is no roster moves? Silly. ForestH2 t/c 21:49, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
- It's still a correct as-of date for the roster. It may be a little silly. It may -- I have no idea -- be against some project guideline or another. It's not vandalism. —Bunchofgrapes (talk) 21:50, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
- I don't think you have much knowledge in the subject though I maybe mistaken. ForestH2

WikiProject Sports Car Racing
Due to your involvement in some Wiki pages that regard sports car racing of some sort, I would like to ask for you to look into the proposed WikiProject for Sports Car Racing. Any help you may have to offer to the project will be greatly appreciated. The359 03:20, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
This article is featured in finnish Wikipedia. Could you add link {{link FA|fi}} to the article. I can't because I have just registered and article is protected. Thanks!. --MiPe 13:57, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
Following a successful period of consultation WikiProject Scotland has now been launched. As a supporter of the initial proposal I wonder if you may be interested in this new endeavour? If so, please sign-up here. The WikiProject will be replacing some of the functions of the Scottish Wikipedians' notice board (which you are also invited to sign-up to!), especially those in the lower half.
While I am here, please also have a look at the new Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Scotland and give it a "Watch". It was started up by User:Visviva a few days ago, after long being mooted at the notice board, and effectively replaces all the AfD listings at the notice board. Being a transclusion of all the on-going discussions it is a much more useful tool.
Even if you do not want to spend too much time on the WikiProject, please give it a "Watch" and feel free to contribute to Talk page discussions: the more contributors the merrier.
All the best. --Mais oui! 11:57, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
