File source problem with File:DirtyDozenNextMission.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:DirtyDozenNextMission.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 06:17, 26 December 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. FASTILYsock(TALK) 06:17, 26 December 2009 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:ToadiesFeeler.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:ToadiesFeeler.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 20:19, 15 July 2010 (UTC)
He "will compete"? Don't you think, a half year after the end of the Olympics, you should bring your started articles to an end? Ha also won medails at the Sommer World Championships in Biathlon in 2009 and World Cup Points in Biathlon at the World Championships in Winter in 2009. Nothing of this all is written in the "article". "Great" work... - and no, I can't do it, my english isn't good enough to use it in articles. Marcus Cyron (talk) 13:15, 13 August 2010 (UTC) PS: I bet there are more "articles" of this kind. Being the first in the article
-Well, considering a lot of the Olympic athlete pages I created were done in response to the individual flag bearers in the immediate aftermath of the Opening Ceremony and before they had competed, the tense makes sense. I'm sorry that over the course of updating Olympic results pages and various other pages over the last few months, along with finishing college and living my life, I haven't been able to update the pages of the more obscure athletes. It's just too bad that I'm expected to be the only one who cares about these athletes (or at least the only one to do anything about when I know there are thousands of sports fans using Wikipedia everyday). P.S. If I have time I will try and update what I can.DB1985 (talk) 22:28, 13 August 2010
File copyright problem with File:MilwaukeeRampage.jpg
editThank you for uploading File:MilwaukeeRampage.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Eeekster (talk) 22:37, 15 August 2010 (UTC)
Autopatrolled
editHello, this is just to let you know that I have granted you the "autopatrolled" permission. This won't affect your editing, it just automatically marks any page you create as patrolled, benefiting new page patrollers. Please remember:
- This permission does not give you any special status or authority
- Submission of inappropriate material may lead to its removal
- You may wish to display the {{Autopatrolled}} top icon and/or the {{User wikipedia/autopatrolled}} userbox on your user page
- If, for any reason, you decide you do not want the permission, let me know and I can remove it
- If you have any questions about the permission, don't hesitate to ask. Otherwise, happy editing! Acalamari 21:34, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
The article Lorenzo Lo Russo has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Non-notable youth player who fails WP:NFOOTBALL and WP:GNG
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. GiantSnowman 01:10, 21 February 2011 (UTC)

editHi. When you recently edited Tina Weirather, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Slalom (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Your contributed article, Roz Groenewoud
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, I notice that you recently created a new page, Roz Groenewoud. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as yourself. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - Rosalind Groenewoud. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Rosalind Groenewoud - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.
If you think that the article you created should remain separate, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Intoronto1125TalkContributions 04:03, 29 January 2012 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Carli Lloyd - number of International Goals on USWNT page
editDear DB1985, According to Carli Lloyd's page on Wikipedia, she has 86 international goals as of the Olympic Qualifying match with Puerto Rico on 2/15/16. Please, do you know why some sources credit her with only 85 goals? The figure has switched back and forth a couple times on the USWNT page, and perhaps we would all appreciate clarification. Invite to the African Destubathon
editHi. You may be interested in participating in the African Destubathon which starts on October 15. Africa currently has over 37,000 stubs and badly needs a quality improvement editathon/contest to flesh out basic stubs. There are proposed substantial prizes to give to editors who do the most articles, and planned smaller prizes for doing to most destubs for each of the 53 African countries, so should be enjoyable! So it would be a good chance to win something for improving stubs on African sportspeople, including footballers, athletes, Olympians and Paralympians etc, particularly female ones, but also male. Even if contests aren't your thing we would be grateful if you could consider destubbing a few African articles during the drive to help the cause and help reduce the massive 37,000 + stub count, of which many are rated high importance (think Regions of countries etc). If you're interested in competing or just loosely contributing a few expanded articles on African Paralympians, Olympians and committees etc, please add your name to the Contestants/participants section. Diversity of work from a lot of people will make this that bit more special. Thanks. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:13, 6 October 2016 (UTC)

The article Camilla Lattorff has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Lacks notability (note that playing for a national team, especially one as minor as this, doesn't give "automatic" notability: indepth sources are needed, and are missing here completely: nothing in GNews, barely anything otherwise).
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Fram (talk) 07:31, 12 September 2022 (UTC)

September 2024
editHi there - Wikipedia relies on reliable sources to verify information, especially about living people. You didn't provide a source for your changes to the Laurent Jans article, and I couldn't find one either. If you have a reliable source please let me know and we can change the article. Please let me know if you have any questions. GiantSnowman 17:14, 1 September 2024 (UTC)
- It's a bit odd that there's nothing out there on this given it's a professional player and club, but both Transfermarkt and the Luxembourg Football Federation's roster release article indicate Jans to be a Beveren player. https://www.flf.lu/post-296485v4/posts/55010
- Some digging on the Beveren official site shows this article announcing his arrival. Odd that it didn't show up in any searches but it is in Dutch (Flemish?). https://www.skbeveren.be/2024/07/welkom-laurent/ DB1985 (talk) 18:38, 1 September 2024 (UTC)
