Conflict of interest

If you are the same individual as the subject of the article, or someone closely connected, please be aware that Wikipedia has a conflict of interest policy. I also have to inform you that the image you uploaded (File:Paul Chiy.png) appears at other websites including the Twitter account of Dr Paul Chiy. Wikipedia (and its sister site known as Wikimedia Commons) cannot accept images that are copyrighted. Normally this precludes any images published at website(s) that do not carry a copy-free (copy left, public domain) annotation (or a recognised licence giving a release for re-use).

Upon uploading, you have declared that you are the owner of this image, and it was taken on 5 October 2020. Websites carrying the image are buzzfeed with a caption stating "Paul Chiy Courtesy Paul Chiy", and De Jure Chambers. I have viewed the copyright section at the latter. I can see that you have tried to recreate the biography article at Draft:Paul Chiy, and have declared an interest at your userpage. If you are Paul Chiy, you should not be trying to write about yourself; if you are someone else who knows Paul Chiy well, then you should not be trying to promote this individual.

Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, quite unlike LinkedIn, for example. Wkipedia's conflict of interest policy states: "COI editing is strongly discouraged."--Rocknrollmancer (talk) 02:13, 23 February 2022 (UTC)
