Unfortunately, I had to revert your first eight edits because they all exhibited the same pattern of pointless changes to capitalization and white space that did not improve the article or even change the rendered page in any way. Please see MOS:VAR. In addition, please use a comprehensible edit summary that explains your edit for the benefit of other editors. All of these edits had the same, cryptic summary "Page Review | Page Pattern" and were not helpful. See WP:Edit summary for help on writing a good edit summary. In addition to that, you failed to provide translation attribution as mandated by Wikipedia's licensing requirements. I've left you a detailed comment in the AFC reviewer section of the Draft, so you don't forget to attend to this, before attempting to submit this again. Unsourced material in two dozen articles

edit

I noticed that in this edit to 2022–23 Valencia CF season you added the following unsourced content:

It will be the first season in history to be temporarily interrupted due the dispute of an international national team competition, the 2022 FIFA World Cup, being held on 20 November to 18 December 2022.

I had to undo this edit because of two problems with it:

  • It's unsourced. Wikipedia requires that all content be verifiable; the best way to ensure this is with a citation to a reliable source.
  • It talks about the future. We don't know for sure what will happen in November; other events might intervene, and it's possible the original schedule could still go on uninterrupted. Wikipedia is not a crystal ball.

The way to fix the sourcing issue, is to add back your content, but this time include a citation to a reliable source. See Help:Footnotes for how to do this. The way to fix the WP:CRYSTALBALL issue, is to reword the content, so it only talks about stuff that is verifiable. You could talk about a change in schedule (if that is what happened). If that is the case, you might write something like this:

For the first time in history, the season schedule had to be altered (or 'called off', or 'suspended' or whatever it is that happened here) due to the dispute of an international national team competition, the 2022 FIFA World Cup, scheduled for 20 November to 18 December 2022.[3]

Ideally, your content would include who or what body altered (called off/suspended/etc.) the schedule, and on what date or in what venue; and your added footnote would clearly support the information.

I tried to quickly find a source for this, but couldn't find one, but I assume you know where you got this from, so you are welcome to add it back with a citation and some changes to the wording to resolve the WP:CRYSTALBALL problem.

More seriously, that was just one edit in a run of edits in less than an hour today where you added the identical content to 27 other football articles. The edits in question are these 27 contributions, and they all must be sourced and reworded in the same way. The good news is, that as soon as you do the fix for 2022–23 Valencia CF season, you will probably be able to copy the exact same wording and citation to the other 27 articles.

As a new editor, it's important that you establish good editing habits from the start, and attention to sourcing and verifiability is one of the most important things to learn here. It would be a good sign if you could take care of the sourcing problem in these 27 articles right away, before you move on to other article content additions. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me on my Talk page, or you can also ask questions at the Wikipedia:Help desk. Thanks, Mathglot (talk) 20:06, 30 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
