Devon van Oostrum

edit

Hi. If you continue to make vandalism at Devon van Oostrum article you may be blocked from editing. If he represents British national team [1] then he is British. Just look at hundreds other basketball players with this situation.--Bozalegenda (talk) 10:03, 24 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

My friend I am an experienced editor, and I know what i'm doing. If someone represents some national team, then that nationality will be in article. Thats how we do here for all sports articles... just look at hundreds of other articles and you will see that you are wrong.--Bozalegenda (talk) 00:40, 25 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

White Anglo-Saxon Protestant

edit

Hello. You have reverted the page White Anglo-Saxon Protestant several times now, and have been adding names to the section Etymology without any reference. An internal citation is not enough. You need to have some scholarly reference that supports the content, and you have not provided any. Furthermore, you have edited that same page non-stop for more than 24 hours. Correcting grammar and improving syntax are fine. However, you have added names (without any external reference or citation) to a list that has no external reference or citation. This looks like an instance of edit warring. If you have an external reference to support the list of names, then please refer to it in the article. An internal link does not count. I will be reverting the page back, so that the list is no longer included.

White Anglo-Saxon Protestant

I am new. But what that has to do with you adding random names onto the page, I don't know. You still haven't justified why the list is there. You have no reference. If you don't remove the content immediately or add an external reference, I'll report you to an administrator for edit-warring Jonah161 (talk) 02:01, 28 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

  • And I will say exactly the same about you. It is a shame you could not act like a grown up and have discussed this situation with me first before going behind my back after realizing that you have caused an "edit war" Jonah161 --Danteday (talk) 03:24, 28 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
    • I'm sorry if you feel that way, but I did notice that you edited the page non-stop for more than 24 hours, and making significant changes without any references. I originally got the list of names from a news article, but was advised against using it as a source, so I was preparing to take the names down when you stepped in. But Rjensen gave a very good source (https://ia601406.us.archive.org/25/items/socialregisterl00usgoog/socialregisterl00usgoog.pdf). I will be happy to restore all of those names you put in, and I give you credit for them. I will add the reference too. All of the names you mentioned are found in the Social Register, including Vanderbilt, Heinz, and Astor. I will try to put in as many as I can. I never meant to cause you any distress. I only wanted to see an external reference added. Again, I am new, and I am learning from my mistakes. Jonah161 (talk) 13:08, 28 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
