Non-free rationale for File:Render of Eris vertical at the launch site in Abbott Point.jpeg

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Render of Eris vertical at the launch site in Abbott Point.jpeg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Salavat (talk) 08:01, 30 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

A tag has been placed on File:Render of Eris vertical at launch site in Abbot Point.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Conti est this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

You received multiple notices that your uploads were problematic. Why did you continue uploading? Also, your edit summary of i didn't make this there is no copyright on this image im just tired of dealing with wikipedia's stupid image and licensing system so i labelled it as my own work does not exactly inspire confidence that you will abide by the rules. GeneralNotability (talk) 15:27, 3 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
Clearly I do not know how to properly upload images, so I won't upload any more images. I don't believe the images have any copyright on them (I checked) but it seems I can't upload them under the "I found them online" as they just get deleted after a week. Sorry, i'm a pretty new to Wikipedia so it's a bit hard for me.
In other words, i'm dumb, so i'll just stop uploading pictures because I don't know how to properly. DatMeleeMan (talk) 23:27, 5 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
could I get a follow up on this situation please? DatMeleeMan (talk) 01:01, 15 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
You only have one available option at this point: if you wish to be unblocked, you need to make an unblock request that follows the instructions. The particular item you need to address in your unblock request is summarized as: that the block is no longer necessary because you understand what you are blocked for, you will not do it again, and you will make productive contributions instead; That last part is a positive requirement that you say what sorts of edits you intend to do in the future. So file another unblock request, address all the components required and see if an admin will agree to unblock you. There's more detailed guidance at WP:GAB. Claiming that you are not competent is not very convincing; read more about why those uploads were a problem and show that you can be relied on, in the future, to make contributions that follow Wikipedia policies. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 06:06, 15 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
