It could seem like that; here is a link for you WP:Yourfirstarticle which explains formatting and the like. Another problem I see is your possible conflict of interest, as I suppose you are the subject of the article. Don't get me wrong: it isn't forbidden to write about oneself, but the edits are much more scrutinized.
