Speedy deletion nomination of Brent Armitage
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Brent Armitage requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Brent Armitage. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. – Thjarkur (talk) 08:22, 11 May 2021 (UTC)

Request reason:
Hi Sandstein(talk), Just to be clear, I have never met Brent Armitage. I work for the military. I just like movies. I tried to put down why I thought there should be a page. The initial deletion discussion questioned relevance. My comments were simply aimed at showing page relevance. I thought I was answering the questions you asked. I thought you wanted more links, so I googled more links. If I came off as a shill for him, I am not. I'm sorry for the misunderstanding. I simply couldn't understand why the page was taken down and felt like it should be put back up. I'm not sure how to answer your questions in any other way. I was sincere when I said thank you for all you do. I love Wikipedia. Have a nice day. Best,DavidQ2012 (talk) 22:27, 20 May 2021 (UTC)

- Hi DavidQ2012, would you mind:
- providing specific examples for edits you would like to make, and that are currently prevented by the block? The Task Center and the community portal may be interesting.
- explicitly agreeing, as a binding unblock condition, to a topic ban from George Armitage and Brent Armitage, a prohibition from creating new articles, and a prohibiton from editing drafts (pages intended to become mainspace articles, for example in the "Draft:" namespace and in "User:" sandbox pages)?
- Best regards,
~ ToBeFree (talk) 17:44, 22 May 2021 (UTC)- Note: If you currently can't answer the first point, specific examples, because you are currently not interested in contributing to Wikipedia in any other way than you did before, then please say so, and I'll decline the unblock request for now. There is no time limit for creating a new request, and you can always do so even years later, if your interest in editing Wikipedia ever changes. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 17:46, 22 May 2021 (UTC)
- Hi
~ ToBeFree,
Thank you so much for your time. I appreciate it. I was very surprised that I was blocked because if you take a quick look at the discussion, I was simply attempting to answer each of Mr. Sandstein's questions. I tried to be very respectful and specific. I've always been a fan of Wikipedia, but frankly get intimidated by others when I try to edit. I always feel like I could make my edits better, more detail. I have been a member for nearly 10 years without incident and have donated to the site to show my support. So I hope you can understand my surprise, at being blocked. Anyway, I tried to do my best for the site. I don't have any pages I'd like to edit at the moment. Frankly I haven't been on the site since. I thought Brent Armitage deserved the article but don't care much about any of it anymore. You and Mr. Sandstein both do a difficult task. As I told him, no good deed goes unpunished. I sincerely thank you for all your time and effort. Best, DavidQ2012 (talk) 19:00, 25 May 2021 (UTC)
