Taeyang

Still, for one parameter it is utterly useless to use such a complicated method that looks out of place, is not common practice and looks hideous in the article. If you really want to have the signature in the article, just insert it as an image under the infobox. It's not a must to have everyone's signature in Wikipedia. :) Teemeah 편지 (letter) 12:46, 22 June 2014 (UTC)

@Teemeah: I'm not picky one way or the other regarding the presence of the signature. However, if you would do the honors of removing the signature= line entirely and providing an appropriate edit summary, this will prevent people being confused in the future. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 17:40, 22 June 2014 (UTC)

Hello Davidwr

If you have a moment, would you mind lending your voice to the deletion discussion relevant to Kashif Saleem? I would appreciate your input.--Jpworth3rd (talk) 16:51, 22 June 2014 (UTC)

Done. Unfortunately, the only reference that would show that this person has received significant coverage independent of the company is tainted by his previous employment relationship with the publisher. This is one of those cases where you may need more time, so moving to Draft: may be a better outcome than deletion. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 21:10, 22 June 2014 (UTC)

Draft:Remote fuel propulsion

Good Day Davidwr. I do not feel that the prior reviewer's statements have any validity, since they clearly indicated with their own words on their own talk page that they were being arbitrary in their decision making process. If you do plan on reviewing this article, please keep in mind verifiability, and WP:CALC. Math is neutral. If there are specific problems, I would be happy to address them directly. I have made modifications to the article based on actionable suggestions. Thank You. Matthewhburch (talk) 01:29, 24 June 2014 (UTC)

Another note. I see that the article is still listed as being a part of two irreconcilable groups. "Pending AFC submissions" and "AFC submissions declined as an essay" It's either pending, or declined. Can you resolve this issue? Matthewhburch (talk) 01:38, 24 June 2014 (UTC)

Re: "Pending AFC submissions" and "AFC submissions declined as an essay" It's either pending, or declined. The term "Pending AFC submissions" means it is currently pending. The term "AFC submissions declined as an essay" means it was declined at some time in the past as an essay. This puts the page into multiple Wikipedia categories. This categorization is another reason why these old "decline" templates need to be kept as long as the page has not been accepted. When this categorization system was designed several years ago, the decision was deliberately made to allow for multiple "decline" templates as well as zero or one "submission pending" templates to be on a page at the same time, with the page put into all of the appropriate categories. In other words, there is a logic to this, even if it appears by a "plain English" reading that it's illogical. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 06:37, 25 June 2014 (UTC)

I see no indication in the article history that you ever reviewed the article, you merely made edits and comments. I do appreciate the comments you made, because some of them were valid, but they were not part of a review, and have been addressed. I have even rewritten the final sections of the article to make them unmistakably verifiable, and mathematically irrefutable. Unless you can provide a link to a Wikipedia rule that requires that I must allow review data from a self-declared arbitrary reviewer to remain on the draft page, or requires that I must retain addressed comments from a non-reviewer, do not restore the changes. If you do restore the changes, then I would appreciate it if you would also include a link to where I need to go report the behavior of reviewers who make up their own rules. Atleast 50 socket puppet exits of redacted

115.178.100.18 (talk) 09:38, 23 June 2014 (UTC) Contents of comment redacted. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 19:32, 23 June 2014 (UTC)

The proper place to report this is through WP:AN/I, WP:SPI, one of the administrative mailing-lists, one of the administrative IRC channels. I am not an administrator and I do have enough experience in sock-hunting to verify the claims. I did notice a few days ago that at least one of the names you listed was involved in an SPI of someone or other, but the determination was made that it was not the same editor as the puppet-master listed in that particular SPI. Again, please report this through one of the established venues for reporting suspected sockpuppets, not here. Thank you. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 19:32, 23 June 2014 (UTC)

Draft:Propulsion methods utilizing fuel accelerated from a remote fuel source

@Davidwr:Thank you for your comments on the draft page. I would appreciate it if you would check to see if I have addressed your concerns. Matthewhburch (talk) 06:02, 25 June 2014 (UTC)

It will be at least a few hours possibly a day or two before I can give you more feedback. It's time to turn off Wikipedia for awhile and get back to enjoying the rest of life. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 06:30, 25 June 2014 (UTC)
@Davidwr:Thank you again. I will spend that time generating a energy analysis of the example I used in the draft. Because you have been working with me, and have not had an opportunity to respond to some of my comments, I will not interfere with the comments that we went back and forth on. I did, however, add robotic refueling to the "Examples of Remote Fuel Methods" section, because you are right, it is a remote fuel method. It's orbital and terribly inefficient, but it is a remote fuel method. Matthewhburch (talk) 08:21, 25 June 2014 (UTC)

Draft:Saleem (Company)

Hi David,

I see you have left this article in a 'being reviewed' state. Is that because of your comments about deletion review (etc)? I'm not criticising, I'm just interested. Based on your comments I would have deferred to you on any future review anyway. Fiddle Faddle 08:40, 25 June 2014 (UTC)

Draft:Mansion House - Hurstpierpoint

Very pleased to have your insight and further reviews on the article. Toby Lott has taken on a huge undertaking for his first foray into Wikipedia. Technically you could probably accept this now. The OTRS template is, at present, sufficient, but I think your caution in awaiting the formal approval is justified. It also gives Toby Lott some further time to source additional references if such be available.

I'm sure this will be altered radically once it hits as an accepted article. This is why I am hoping Maggie Henderson's permission also extends in her eyes to the upload of her report as background material. Technically it does, but it is she who needs to make the source document available to us (probably me) to upload. I see the same OTRS ticket applying to it. Fiddle Faddle 08:19, 8 July 2014 (UTC)

@Timtrent: The OTRS ticket only applies to what it says it applies to. If the necessary permissions to upload the background material as free content aren't supplied, you can't upload it. It very likely will not qualify to be uploaded as non-free content under WP:NFCC. Besides, WikiScholar is probably the best Wikimedia project to house such background material. Archive.org is another place. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 18:59, 8 July 2014 (UTC)
The author of the paper has requested by email to me that the original paper be not uploaded. That has solved the issue of the upload. It does, however, make it an interesting challenge to use it as a reference. This will make the finding of more and more references that are accessible very important indeed. Fiddle Faddle 21:42, 8 July 2014 (UTC)
If the papers that are to be deposited with the records office actually get deposited, that may solve most of the referencing issues. Unsourced material can be removed later, and of course opinions should be removed as well. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 21:49, 8 July 2014 (UTC)
I wonder if you would take a moment to make the point about the depositing of the papers to the article author? While he and I have a decent working relationship he is not at all 'within' the world of Wikipedia and an additional voice would be beneficial. Fiddle Faddle 07:04, 9 July 2014 (UTC)
I just dropped a note on his talk page, at User talk:Toby Lott#Draft:Mansion House - Hurstpierpoint. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 15:03, 9 July 2014 (UTC)

Mansion House - Hurstpierpoint

David, what is the current status? I see you are editing. Toby — Preceding unsigned comment added by Toby Lott (talkcontribs) 19:22, 13 July 2014 (UTC)

There is partial OTRS progress. The material has been pushed back for a clearer release and licence. I have left a note on Toby Lott's talk page. Fiddle Faddle 06:35, 30 July 2014 (UTC)

OTRS Permission Now Granted

Hello, I received an email from the permissions team to say they have everything and that they have sent the confirmation required to remove (Mansion House - Hurstpierpoint) out of draft and into an article. Have you seen that ? Toby — Preceding unsigned comment added by Toby Lott (talkcontribs) 05:43, 1 August 2014 (UTC)

Thanks for the heads-up. The article was already in the main encyclopedia by the time I saw your notice. Thanks for all you did to make this happen. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 17:30, 1 August 2014 (UTC)

00:39:54, 6 August 2014 review of submission by Bylt2119

Dear David, I add some updated information on to this item, and would like to have your advice on if it is appropriate to resubmit this article. Given that this publisher is publishing four SCI indexed journals and 14 PubMed-abstracted journals, could it be considered as "notable" enough here?

Thank you in advance for your kind help.

Hi Davidwr! sorry for not including all the changes in the editing area. I re-check the Cristopher Ballinas Valdes Article, and send the editing, and I think I include everything in the summary. Sorry, won't happen again.
