Speedy deletion nomination of David Chandler Thomas

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on David Chandler Thomas requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Dengero (talk) 03:47, 30 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Sequestered Capital Theory

edit

The article Sequestered Capital Theory has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The article is undoubtedly violating WP:OR and fringe theory

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ☆★Mamushir (✉✉) 17:27, 10 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

I published this page prematurely before completing many of the academic article links. I have added a great deal of content and I have more to add. Please reconsider and advise.

December 2020

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions; however, it appears you may have written a Wikipedia article about yourself, at David Chandler Thomas. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – please see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to or change an existing article about yourself, you are welcome to propose the changes by visiting the article's talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was the page I created deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss this with the deleting administrator. Thank you. I understand, but find it a bit confusing. I found the page about me with some stray comments that were incorrect and sought to correct them with fully cited references. If this is wrong then I apologize and will have someone else do the work to maintain the appearance of impartiality wikipedia wishes to maintain. It seems to me that what other people do then is pay someone to make the edits for them or do so under an alias. Either way, I do not see how this accomplishes the goal of achieving impartiality. I know of firms that have full-time people who edit and maintain information on their executives. Universities do this with staff in the various departments. So if I am unlucky enough to work at a university that does not do this then my work will go unpublished no matter how important it might be. Doesn't it make more sense to judge the worthiness and the work by the actual accomplishments (fully cited with independent references) than play a game of pretending to be independent? Sorry for the rant. Fubman User:dcthomas4679 17:28, 11 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
