An article you recently created, Muhammad Madu Yunusa, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Bauchi Radio Corporation

edit

Hi Musaddam, I'm Sammi Brie and I'm an editor specializing in radio stations. I saw you added Bauchi Radio Corporation; lately, I've been dealing with a lot of new Nigeria pages that are missing information.

I'm having trouble figuring out what frequencies BRC broadcasts on; I see that, like a lot of these state-owned stations, they were AM and FM but are out of service on AM. I see some mentions of 94.6 FM, which is unusual as Nigeria has very few (for Africa) for stations on even center frequencies (89.2, 94.6, etc.). I see they have some associated community stations as well. Unfortunately, the NBC doesn't have a working website, much less a list of operating stations. And BRC doesn't have a working site either.

Would you mind helping me untangle some of this? I'm more than happy to contribute my expertise in radio station pages and finding appropriate citations if you can help me navigate the Nigeria part. This should also help with identifying potential article links to point to the page. (Side note: I'm UTC –7, so responses might not come at the same time you're awake.) Actually, I can edit everything normally there's no any problem with my account. The issue is I'll be running an edit-a-thon and awareness campaign where new users will be registered. The problem is, none of them was allowed by the Wikipedia log in page to register a new account, it always display a message that shows there IP is blocked and when I try to open the account for one of them with my device then I saw the same thing so I thought there was something wrong. The problem has been there for weeks now here in Nigeria.@SQL:

Decline reason:

Confirmed P2P proxy, once again. As you've been warned about this, I will go and block you directly for 24 hours. Yamla (talk) 13:50, 18 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

Trust me, I wasn't using an open proxy. I don't know why the message keeps popping up from time to time, I can even send you the screenshot of my network traffic to confirm if needed. Consider unblocking my account please and tell me what to do to prevent this from happening again. I'm also tired of seeing it because it's disturbing. Thank you for your help.

Accept reason:

User has accepted the condition to refrain from making any further unblock requests around p2p proxies. Yamla (talk) 14:20, 18 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

We have told you what to do. And the IP address you provided is confirmed as a p2p proxy. I'm very happy to unblock you immediately if you promise to stop making these pointless requests and instead follow the directions you've been given. --Yamla (talk) 14:08, 18 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

I promise to stop it and I'm more than willing to follow the guidelines. Can you please direct me again to where I can find the stated guidelines? What you previously said is I should stopped using my router to connect mobile device during edit and I did not ever repeat that. De-Invincible (talk) 14:18, 18 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
See Daniel Case's comments from 06:35, 1 July 2022 or read Template:Blocked p2p proxy for all the details. --Yamla (talk) 14:20, 18 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
Thank you so much. I read the information in both this link and the comment made on the 1 July, 2022 and what I understand based on the content of the link he shared is that he recommended me to email the checkuser-en-wp@wikipedia.org and request for IP block exemption, so that I wouldn't encounter this problem again, did I understood the point correctly please? De-Invincible (talk) 14:52, 18 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
Yes. As a special exemption, you can just request it here on this talk page (just in a comment, no need to make a separate unblock request), as I'm watching and could grant it to you. The key thing is, you understand and accept the conditions listed at WP:IPBE. You need to specifically state that you understand and accept those conditions. --Yamla (talk) 15:14, 18 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
Request for IP block exemption
I hereby wish to request for an IP block exemption on my account. I have read,

understand and accept the conditions listed at WP:IPBE. I will also abide by them. Thank you for your help and patience. De-Invincible (talk) 15:25, 18 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

I have granted WP:IPBE for one year. You are welcome to request an extension once that year is up and I'd expect an extension would be granted (though cannot guarantee this, of course). Happy editing, I look forward to you continuing your helpful edits here and wish you well! --Yamla (talk) 15:29, 18 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
I'm really glad. Thank you so much for your help and patience. Have a wonderful day! De-Invincible (talk) 15:32, 18 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Murja Ibrahim Kunya moved to draftspace

edit

Thanks for your contributions to Murja Ibrahim Kunya. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Reading Beans (talk) 04:43, 3 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

As a follow up, I know you are convinced that the sources available establishes notability, but, it does not. All sources are dated today or yesterday and talking about her arrest. So, that is a clear case of "notable for one event" which isn't really notability. So, on the draftspace, we would see if you could get more coverages about her. How's that?
