Your 2019 edit to Cascais

edit

Hi. I believe that you edited Cascais in 2019 with the following: "Prince Juan of Spain, Count of Barcelona (son of the King Alfonso XIII of Spain and Princess Victoria Eugenie of Battenberg), the designated heir to the Spanish throne, also lived in the municipality of Cascais with his family. In his childhood, King Juan Carlos I of Spain lived in the same parent's house at Estoril, while his youngest brother, Prince Alfonso of Bourbon, died there, being originally buried at the municipal cemetery of Cascais." I am having trouble understanding exactly what this means, particularly the reference to "same parent's house". Could you rephrase? Thanks.Roundtheworld (talk) 15:19, 28 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

I did not write the above paragraph. That edit was added 16:30, 13 December 2017 by Anjo-sozinhol, as listed in the article’s revision history. My first edit to the Casais article was 09:52, 15 July 2019. If I however, had to guess what was meant by the line seeming to cause confusion, it would be that Juan Carlos had lived in the same house as his parents in Estoril. That is however a guess. I have though now gone and rephrased that paragraph so less confusions will exist, and wording better suits and focuses on the topic of his exile, as opposed to the parental abode of a minor.   Please do not add commentary, your own point of view, or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Kashmir conflict. I do not believe I have violated wikipedia policy in what I wrote, that I believe was adequately sourced too and thus have written a deeper reply to this in the talk section of the Kashmir conflict article. Please let's continue this discussion there: Talk:Kashmir_conflict#Ankit_Love's_claim_to_be_the_sovereign_Maharaja_of_Jammu_and_Kashmir_in_United_Kingdom_politics Death Star Central (talk) 22:19, 22 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
Did your sources put this in a "Kashmir conflict" context? -- Kautilya3 (talk) 20:39, 23 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
Well I believe yes, and have written a longer reply the Kashmir conflict talk page, and look forward to your reply there. Why else would the sources report a claim to sovereignty if there was no relation to conflict? There are many sources on this story, here is one other that is perhaps more explicit in reference to conflict in CatchNews which reports the following "Love claims to be the \'exiled Emperor of Jammu and Kashmir\'He wants to get his princely state out of the clutches of \'India and Pakistan\'s illegal occupation\'" I believe that is a quite a clear reference to conflict. Proposed deletion of Roheen Berry

edit

The article Roheen Berry has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Doesn't seem to meet WP:GNG. Notability can't be inherited through companies bought or elected at.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Nomadicghumakkad (talk) 10:02, 31 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Why not start discussion on this article's talk page first, reach consensus there prior to deleting?

Since you are the one re-adding contested content, I strongly suggest you open the discussion on the talkpage and gain consensus. At the moment I am strongly considering taking this to the appropriate noticeboard. Kleuske (talk) 19:35, 18 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
User:Kleuske Why only considering? Why don't we do both? Please do take it there, I believe a good discussion is what wikipedia is all about. I sincerely back your approach! But do you really feel deleting the word "conflict" from this Bhim Singh article in relation to the Kashmir conflict with the explanation as that it is "controversial" by the previous one editor user:JaggaDaaku is not an inherent violation of Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, especially considering that thus far the, one contesting editor, is only editing India related articles since about a month ago? --Death Star Central (talk) 19:53, 18 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

  You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. UnpetitproleX (talk) 09:05, 9 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
