editIt also appears that your account is intended to be used for the purpose of telling the world about an organization, person or cause that you consider worthwhile. Unfortunately, many good causes are not sufficiently notable for their own Wikipedia article, and all users are discouraged from editing in any area where they have an inherent conflict of interest. You may wish to consider one of these alternative outlets. Additionally, if your contributions to Wikipedia form all or part of work for which you are, or expect to be, paid or compensated in any way, you must disclose who is paying you to edit here. You may also read our FAQ for article subjects.
Please take a moment to either create a new account, or request a username change to this account.- To create a new account with a different username, simply log out of this account and then click here to make a new one.
- If you prefer to change the username of this account, you may do so by adding the following text to the bottom of your user talk page (this page):
{{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
.
Important items to note:
- The new username that you choose must represent you as an individual person, and it must comply with Wikipedia's username policy.
- The new username you choose cannot already be taken and used by another account. You can search here to see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns, "There is no global account for [username]", that means it is available.
- Please also note that you are permitted to use a username that contains the name of a company or organization if it also identifies you individually, such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87", but not "SEO Manager at XYZ Company".
Appeals: If your username does not represent a group, organization, website, or other entity described above, and if you believe that this block was incorrect or made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the following text to the bottom of your user talk page (this page): {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}

As you have refused to disclose your conflict of interest, as required by WP:COI and as warned above, I have blocked you indefinitely. Once you properly disclose your conflict of interest here, as per the instructions at WP:COI, you are free to request an unblock and any admin is free to lift your block. --Yamla (talk) 11:36, 16 July 2024 (UTC)
- I am very sorry. I was suggesting edits and not attempting to edit directly. I do web development contract work for Amputee Coalition, a national non-profit that serves the limb loss and limb difference community. I have worked as a contractor for the organization since 1999. I am not being paid to edit the Wikipedia article or to suggest edits for the Wikipedia article. I was simply trying to make it accurate on my own, but I will make sure to always disclose my association with any suggestion and will use this template on the talk page going forward if an admin is willing to unblock me. Thank you for your helpful advice and consideration. Debbie4AC (talk) 12:47, 17 July 2024 (UTC)
- That makes you a paid editor. Please use the template here to disclose your conflict of interest. Once you have properly done so, I'll unblock you. --Yamla (talk) 12:52, 17 July 2024 (UTC)
The Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use require that editors disclose their "employer, client, and affiliation" with respect to any paid contribution; see WP:PAID. For advice about reviewing paid contributions, see WP:COIRESPONSE.

- I am the owner of Chilla Services, a small partnership that provides web development services. I have been a paid contractor for the Amputee Coalition (AKA Amputee Coalition of America) since 1999. I am not hired or paid by anyone to edit Wikipedia articles. I provide web design, development and maintenance services directly to the client for their websites. Debbie4AC (talk) 13:43, 17 July 2024 (UTC)
- Please fill in the template itself. Template:Connected contributor (paid) documents how to do so. --Yamla (talk) 14:04, 17 July 2024 (UTC)
- Do I put this template, even though I am not getting paid for Wikipedia edits or contributions? Amputee Coalition has neither requested nor paid me to do this. I don't log or bill time for this. I was just trying to be helpful as a longtime user of Wikipedia that had direct knowledge of this organization. Perhaps I should not be attempting to contribute?
- If contributing is a good idea and I have a COI but am not being paid to edit or contribute would I still use this template?
- Please fill in the template itself. Template:Connected contributor (paid) documents how to do so. --Yamla (talk) 14:04, 17 July 2024 (UTC)

- I greatly appreciate your time and advice. I am not trying to break the rules and I am trying to get up to speed on it. Debbie4AC (talk) 15:22, 17 July 2024 (UTC)
I have now lifted the block. Note that you definitely do count as a paid editor, even if not specifically receiving payment for your Wikipedia edits. Anyway, you did the disclosure and I'm happy to lift the block. Welcome back! --Yamla (talk) 17:19, 17 July 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you, again! Debbie4AC (talk) 17:56, 17 July 2024 (UTC)
