Thanks for the message. Don't worry that you didn't find the ibox templates - I have been around here for four years and I am always finding new stuff! As for your Wikispeak question, I would simply say: "He grew up on one of poorest housing estates in England." (with a source for that if possible) and leave it at that. Adding the other bit -- "Despite being surrounded by negativity, he has become a leader in his field." -- sounds a little peacocky and is probably not appropriate. I'll keep an eye on the draft and pitch in with fixes where I can. Let me know when you think it's ready to move to the mainspace and I can help you with that. – ukexpat (talk) 15:31, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
- I have done some more tweaking. As soon as you have some references, it's ready to move to the mainspace. – ukexpat (talk) 21:26, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
- I think I can figure out where you are an expat from, but where to? Work took me to Northern Ireland many times before I moved to the US. – ukexpat (talk) 14:51, 19 February 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry for the delay getting back to you - real life getting in the way! Thanks for the extensive list of papers etc. I would suggest just adding the most important 5 or so to the article, otherwise it will be in danger of being just a list of publications. There is a citation template specifically for journals, {{Cite journal}}, so I would suggest using that. The template page should have documentation explaining how to use it. Hope this helps. (Watching England v. Ireland in the Six Nations, not happy!) – ukexpat (talk) 17:19, 27 February 2010 (UTC)
Done- article moved to Roland Carl Backhouse. I reorganised the sections and added a few categories too. – ukexpat (talk) 03:52, 28 February 2010 (UTC)
