Eddie Irvine
editHave you read the talk section? The question has been pretty well done to death. As I understand it, the "Irish" flag which he requested was the shamrock, because he wanted to avoid sectarian issues. The FIA wouldn't accept that, so he raced with his passport nationality, which was British at that time. The tricolour was used only once, and that by mistake. - I've been searching online photographs, and I can't find any with a national flag on, not even the Jordans, which were entered as Irish. The early cars were sponsored by Bank of Ireland, so they do display "Ireland" and a shamrock - but that goes for Schumacher as well! Can you point me to a picture or source? As per the hidden text, which was accurate until you vandalised it "This is Irvine's Formula One infobox and therefore contains the NATIONALITY UNDER WHICH HE RACED in Formula One, which was BRITISH " - Arjayay (talk) 09:57, 22 April 2023 (UTC)
