- Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
- It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
- If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
- Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
- When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
- If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
- Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Introduction to contentious topics
editYou have recently edited a page related to India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, a topic designated as contentious. This standard message is designed as an introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially-designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.
If you have a complaint about any editor or admin's conduct report it, with evidence in the form of diffs, to WP:ANI. Don't use the article talk-page as your WP:SOAPBOX, as you did here. Abecedare (talk) 20:24, 19 May 2023 (UTC)

editHello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit(s) you made to Indigenous Aryanism, did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. editYour edit to Balika Vadhu has been removed in whole or in part, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. Plot descriptions cannot be copied from other sources, including official sources and IMDb, unless these can be verified to be public domain or licensed compatibly with Wikipedia. They must be written in original language to comply with Wikipedia's copyright policy. — Diannaa (talk) 14:40, 21 September 2023 (UTC)
- Wait, I don't think that is Copyright. I just reverted a Old Edit. But if you have sources regarding Copyright, you can share it here DevastatorOfficial (talk) 18:24, 22 September 2023 (UTC)
- There doesn't seem to be an old edit that contains that content. If you can tell me exactly where you copied it from, I will try to help reinstate your edit. However, the upper limit for plot summaries is 700 words, and yours was 2351 words, so it's inappropriate regardless of the copyright status and would likely be removed for being more than triple the recommended size. — Diannaa (talk) 18:52, 22 September 2023 (UTC)
- See the Edit on 11th August 2022. By the Way, I would have made the Plot Small, but as it was very big it would have taken some more time DevastatorOfficial (talk) 17:36, 24 September 2023 (UTC)
- The bloated plot section was immediately removed with the edit summary "Per WP:SOAPS#Plot summaries, plot summaries should be BRIEF. It is not the intention of Wikipedia to follow every story line of a soap opera through 20 years." I have undone the revision deletion, but I am not going to restore it, as it's more than triple the recommended size. — Diannaa (talk) 18:50, 24 September 2023 (UTC)

editHello, I'm Yoshi24517. I noticed that in this edit to Hindu nationalism, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Yoshi24517 (Chat) (Online) 20:32, 10 November 2023 (UTC)
Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did at Hindutva, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. Thank you.
