Hey Derrick,

Greetings from your Molecular Biology classmate!

Hi, Monica, I need to give you some more feedback about this greeting that you left for Derrick. First, you should have started a new section by clicking the "New section" button at the top, instead of just adding your greeting here. The reason is that your greeting is not a reply to Michelle's, so it's really a new "thread" -- a new discussion topic. The second is, that you were not signed in when you left this greeting. It is very important to remember to always be signed in when you do anything with Wikipedia as part of this class. If you are not signed in, we can't confirm your activity. Thanks! Proper indenting on talk pages

edit

Hi, Derrick, here is a little bit of feedback on your talk page contributions. You are correctly signing your posts, so that is great! One problem that still remains is that you're not indenting them properly. If you reply to someone, you should always indent your reply by one more than the post that you are replying to. In this thread, you always indented by one (i.e. inserted only one colon) even when the post you were replying to was already indented. So, for example, here's how a discussion is supposed to look. Let me know if this makes sense to you or not.

Here's the first reply to the main topic. -- user A
Here's a reply to the reply -- user B
Reply to the reply to the reply -- user A
Second reply to the main topic. -- user C

Hi Klortho, your examples were very helpful. I hope I got it right this time. Thanks and please let me know. Dgambrah (talk) 18:11, 8 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Group Assignment

edit

Hey Derrick, You and I have been assigned to work together on the group project. We need to decide which article to discuss and why we chose it. Let me know your thoughts so we can get started on this process.

Thanks!! BCoss1 (talk) 23:53, 10 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hey Brittany - Thanks for the message. I have posted some messages on our group page (please click - Group 81A and then talk) regarding my thoughts and two articles of interest. Please take a look and let me know your thoughts and/or articles of choice. Thanks. Dgambrah (talk) 05:09, 13 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
Hi, Derrick. Rather than saying, "please click ...", you could just turn the phrase into a link, like this: our group's talk page. Click the "edit" button above to see what this looks like in wikitext. Also, I sent an email to Brittany, asking if she's been receiving notifications. It looks like maybe she's having trouble with that. Klortho (talk) 13:18, 13 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
Hi, Klortho. thanks for doing that. Dgambrah (talk) 23:58, 13 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
