Heads up

I am pretty sure G.S.S. Dhillon is the latest iteration of User:Gdhillon22, a well known self-promoting puppet. Flat Out let's discuss it 11:25, 1 March 2015 (UTC)

Dear Diannaa

Could you be so kind to crop the watermarks of these photos?

  • File:Bundesarchiv Bild 146-1976-033-06, Münchener Abkommen, Unterschrift Adolf Hitler.jpg
  • File:Bundesarchiv Bild 183-1988-0107-503, Major Friedrich Hoßbach (Mitte).jpg
  • File:Bundesarchiv B 145 Bild-F051625-0295, Verleihung des EK an Hanna Reitsch durch Hitler.jpg
  • File:Bundesarchiv Bild 146-1985-015-03, Gerhard Engel.jpg

I would be most grateful. :) Jonas Vinther • (speak to me!) 16:43, 1 March 2015 (UTC)

No. I personally am not in favour of cropping Bundesarchiv photos, as when the watermark is present I can tell at a glance that they are okay from a copyright point of view. -- Diannaa (talk) 16:50, 1 March 2015 (UTC)
But are images who has watermarks allowed to be used in GA and FA articles? Jonas Vinther • (speak to me!) 16:54, 1 March 2015 (UTC)
I use uncropped Bundesarchiv images all the time. I don't know about FA requirements (I don't go there). -- Diannaa (talk) 16:57, 1 March 2015 (UTC)

Boy band vandal from Alberta

You blocked 69.31.216.250 four times, the most recent for six months in November 2014, but that dude is now evading the block with 75.156.207.63. You will recall the person adds inappropriate "boy band" and "girl band" categories. Other involved IPs in the past have been 198.53.232.81, 198.53.122.87 and 75.156.169.183, the latter blocked five times, by Discospinster, John, Paul Erik and yourself. There was a list of boy band vandal IPs kept in userspace by Bossanoven but it was deleted a couple of days ago. Binksternet (talk) 06:25, 2 March 2015 (UTC)

I still have a copy of the list in my Google calendar, and I check all the IPs once a week. The most recent one is in Valleyview, which is on Hwy 43 between Edmonton and Grand Prairie. I think the editor travels, likely for a job in the oil patch. The complete list is now 64.178.130.132, 67.52.106.131, 69.31.216.250, 70.72.136.208, 75.156.169.183, 75.156.207.63, 75.159.118.134, 75.159.118.155, 162.157.152.134, 198.53.122.29, 198.53.122.87, 198.53.232.81, 206.75.168.247. I will block the new IP for one week, as he will likely soon be traveling on. -- Diannaa (talk) 15:17, 2 March 2015 (UTC)
Using your above list I created the case page Wikipedia:Long-term abuse/Boy band vandal. Please feel free to add to it as you see fit. I will ping some more admins who have blocked this person in the past: Michig, Kralizec!, Callanecc, Amatulic, Vianello, John Reaves, Darkwind.
I also put two redirects in place to preserve continuity in links that were in edit summaries.[1][2]
Thanks for your diligence! Binksternet (talk) 18:30, 2 March 2015 (UTC)
Thanks to you too Binksternet, for your help with this maintenance task. -- Diannaa (talk) 19:49, 2 March 2015 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:Natesan Srinivasan Interview Pasadena.pdf

Hello! This file contains a news clipping that I own and scanned for upload. Regarding the newspaper, all I know is it is a local newspaper in Pasadena, CA circa 1947. I do not know the name of the newspaper or whether if it still exists. Could you please advise ? Thanks Saruchey (talk) 04:35, 3 March 2015 (UTC)

The newspaper is under copyright, and we don't have permission from the copyright holder to reproduce it here. The image will have to be deleted. Sorry, -- Diannaa (talk) 04:39, 3 March 2015 (UTC)

Citations and thank you for your help

Hi Diannaa, I appreciate you taking the time to review my draft on an interesting pioneer in psychiatric nursing: Adele Poston.

I am working on some edits and have sent permission for use of the photo to the address you gave me <permissions-en@wikimedia.org>

Can you give me some direction with the problem with my citations? Do I have too many? OR Is it the numbering or the actual format of the citations in the reference section?

I am feeling overwhelmed but want to get this nurse recognized and so I will slowly get it done with your help.

Thank you! PsychiatricRN (talk) 17:17, 3 March 2015 (UTC)PsychiatricRN

@PsychiatricRN: Okay, it should be good to go now. It was the formatting of the ciations; the number of citations is adequate, but not excessive. Good luck and thank you for your interest in contributing to the encyclopedia. -- Diannaa (talk) 03:11, 4 March 2015 (UTC)

A kitten for you!

Hi Diannaa, You are amazing! Thank you so much!!!! You even organized my citations better than they were! I will try to learn how to do that myself. Now I will wait to see if someone puts it on the main page...there is another editor One...something who is also kindly reviewing it. How can I give you more credit. My heart is rejoicing! Now will Wikipedia let me know when I can upload the photo(s)???once they get the permission I emailed?

PsychiatricRN (talk) 03:21, 4 March 2015 (UTC)

Did you know if you properly format the citations, they are automatically sorted by the software? I've placed some handy links at the top of your talk page. Editing Wikipedia is fun once you get the hang of it, and makes a super rewarding hobby. Regarding the photos, they are File:Adele Poston at 59 years of age.jpg and File:Adele Poston in World War I Army Uniform.jpg. @Justlettersandnumbers:, could you do me a big favour please and see if you can find the permission email? Thanks, -- Diannaa (talk) 03:33, 4 March 2015 (UTC)

PsychiatricRN (talk) 03:45, 4 March 2015 (UTC)Dianna, Thank you for all of your help and for those links you sent me, and for the kind welcome! I look forward to contributing more. Thanks for asking about the email with permission for those two photos! I am spreading the word that Wikipedia is really serious business which makes it more valuable.

Also, when you said the software takes care of the citations, I have to have them first hyperlinked properly? PsychiatricRN (talk) 03:45, 4 March 2015 (UTC)PsychiatricRN

Not quite; what has to happen is they need to be enclosed in ref tags, like this: :<ref>Your Source</ref>. Here's a tutorial on citing sources: Wikipedia:Tutorial/Citing sources. It's one of the pages found in Wikipedia:Tutorial, which is probably the best place to start learning how to do wiki mark-up. -- Diannaa (talk) 03:51, 4 March 2015 (UTC)
Diannaa, I looked. The email has been answered, but with a request for more details – the permission as given is not sufficient. Anyway, if the image is this one, taken by this photographer, could it not be uploaded as fair use? It might possibly even be PD-old-100 ... yes, OK, I'm already out of my depth. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 13:31, 4 March 2015 (UTC)
Ok, I will bring that image over for fair use, and if-when the permission is sorted, we can upload a higher resolution version. -- Diannaa (talk) 19:36, 4 March 2015 (UTC)

Overlord

I know you have spent considerable time improving this article, however the Allied casualty information has become a bit of a mess. We now have three different overall casualty figures in the article and an infobox inconsistent with the article. I am going to go through what sources I have on the subject tonight, and put that casualty information in a table on the talk page, along with whatever I can find via Google books and JSTOR, to try and get to the bottom of this.

Do you have access to any sources on the subject, such as Tamelander and Zetterling?EnigmaMcmxc (talk) 16:45, 4 March 2015 (UTC)

I have Beevor here, but I don't have Tamelander and Zetterling; that citation was already present when I started the re-write in February 2014. I've posted on the article talk page what I found in Beevor. -- Diannaa (talk) 19:22, 4 March 2015 (UTC)

Intentional?

Hi, thanks for doing all those revdeletions! Just out of curiosity: I went to Spot Fish to send you thanks, and happened to notice that you'd left 2 revisions visible (649307335, 649401869). Was that intentional? Regards, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 10:07, 6 March 2015 (UTC)

Nope, just a mistake on my part. I've fixed it now. Thanks for noticing. You owe me a new mouse, by the way   -- Diannaa (talk) 14:56, 6 March 2015 (UTC)

2 pages deteted

dear diannaa, you have just deleted 2 pages i have created (inbal pinto, avshalom pollak) and i would like to know if it is possible to retrieve these pages? i did not violate any copyright, as the information used is public... i would appreciate the help and explanation doing this right. zebrabear — Preceding unsigned comment added by Zebrabear (talkcontribs) 17:59, 8 March 2015 (UTC)

No, I can't do that. Prose you find online is almost always copyright, and cannot be copied here; it's against the law to do so. The content in the articles was all copied from http://www.beijingldtx.com/e_festival_2010_Rushes_and_More.html, which has a copyright notice at the bottom: Copyright (C) LDTX. All rights reserved. Thanks for improving the Zyklon B article

A few months ago I posted an intemperate rant about the poor quality of the Zyklon B article on that article's talk page. I went away and forgot about it for a while and recently stumbled upon it again, and found it much improved thanks to your efforts. Thankyou. — Preceding unsigned comment added by AnotherNewAccount (talkcontribs) 19:30, 8 March 2015 (UTC)

Thanks very much for your kind words. I am almost finished improving Nuremberg Laws, which also gets a quarter of a million hits each year and until mid-February was in extremely sorry shape too. -- Diannaa (talk) 23:58, 8 March 2015 (UTC)

Seabrook Christian School

Hi - I noticed you deleted Seabrook Christian School as a copyvio. I would like to work on the article - is it possible to usersfy it, or at least the non-copyvio bits? I can see it in Google cache, and I see that even the lead is a copyvio, but the infobox and categories are not. StAnselm (talk) 23:25, 8 March 2015 (UTC)

Did you check the article's history, but the way? I see that it was very old (tagged as unreferenced since 2008), so perhaps the copyvio was added later. StAnselm (talk) 23:26, 8 March 2015 (UTC)
It was copy vio right from the get-go, the whole works. There's only 49 edits, so it's not too much trouble to stubbify so you can work on it live, so I have done that. -- Diannaa (talk) 23:50, 8 March 2015 (UTC)
Thanks. Yes, I see I did a few edits a few years ago; that was why it was on my watch list. StAnselm (talk) 23:57, 8 March 2015 (UTC)
I only have 466 pages on my watch-list, -- Diannaa (talk) 23:59, 8 March 2015 (UTC)

File:20thCenturyBoyDefLeppard.jpg

Hi Diannaa. I noticed that you just deleted File:20thCenturyBoyDefLeppard.jpg for lack of source and licensing information. I have the necessary information to bring it back if you can reinstate the image. (There was no notice left on the page containing the image, so I had no idea it was missing till the image was removed.) If you can't undo the deletion, just let me know and I can re-upload. Thank you.DLManiac (talk) 03:29, 9 March 2015 (UTC)

I've reuploaded the image. If the rationale needs more work, please let me know. Thank you. — DLManiac (talk) 03:48, 9 March 2015 (UTC)
The best thing to do is use the Template:Non-free use rationale album cover. It's easy, and it turns out nice every time. There's an abbreviated version here. The key things to include to prevent deletion are article name, use, and source; plus the {{Non-free album cover}} template. For album covers the current standard size is 312 x 312 or smaller. -- Diannaa (talk) 03:57, 9 March 2015 (UTC)
Great, thanks! I will keep that in mind from now on! — DLManiac (talk) 04:05, 9 March 2015 (UTC)

Your "science" for a mediation

Hello. Sorry to ask your advice, as according to your page, you mostly interest to the standard history. We don't know each other, but an help for a wise mediation is needed. Could you do that or telling me which kind of actions I could do, as no discussion process worked up to now, so no usual WP "rules" worked, and the actual article contains some false links for example. So a wise administrator intervention would be needed, I guess. A "patrol" user added numerous "citation needed" in the Renault article -whereas the same information are already written on the WP individual page of the corresponding persons and with no source needed-, so I obeyed his very numerous "challenges" targeting only Renault -and obviously it slows hardly the progress of the content- and then I added some reliable sources by some official websites or serious magazines. Yet, they removed all these sources and texts, without proving that they would be wrong (and they are not). On the contrary, I proved in the discussion area that several existing sources in the actual article are fake, like for example this link send to Chevrolet Corvet http://www.motortrend.com/oftheyear/car/1211_car_of_the_year_winners/photo_32.html NOT to the announced Renault Alliance, so it is a "spam" link. If this link was controlled, then I guess that one would have corrected it, as it would be a duty, wouldn't it ? So, according to you, why the "patrols" restore the proved spam links and remove my relevant ones ? Is it a normal process ? Here are some other wrong links that I corrected, but that they restored TWICE, so these wrong links are still in the Renault article now... http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-video/coty/ and commercial link http://www.autotrader.co.uk/advice/2010/07/buying/test-driving-a-car These 2 links should "prove" that some cars were voted "Car of the year in Europe", but they don't as you can check yourself : they are just bad sources, and so the "patrol" restored these false links and erased my relevant ones. Twice. Look here http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Renault&diff=650531315&oldid=650464557 and http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Renault&diff=650607276&oldid=650593832 In spite of I pointed out these wrong links in the "talk" page, to follow the WP rules. Is it a normal process that the "patrols" do that ? As to me, I added the links to the official ECOTY website, nothing can be more reliable and you can check yourself all of them, but they erased these reliable sources, as well as many other sources where "citation needed" were written. They complain that they want to cite Ford and General Motors-Vauxhall in the Renault article here http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Renault&diff=650531315&oldid=650464557 "Ford and Vauxhall are traditionally the number one brands and are both British, so it is very relevant." -whereas there is no business connection context between Renault and these companies there, so it is just WP over-linking- as their motivation to erase ALL the others sources and texts that I added to answer the "citation needed" tags that they add themself, and that are not connected to the part where they want Ford and GM to appear in the Renault article. So, they erased many texts and more than a dozens of reliable sources that they "asked", and restored some proved wrong links, as I showed you just above. Is it normal that some "patrol" users do that ? do you support that some proved spam links are restored by these "patrols" ? To prove my good faith, and some strange actions, here are some more proofs :

  • http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Renault_Kadjar&diff=next&oldid=644239741 a "patrol" user replaced a serious source by a car magazine by a "source" from a not serious tabloid -The daily record of Scotland-, comparing the people who would interest to the Renault Kadjar vehicle to some old fashion "cage a googoo" fans. They add some arbitrary allegations like "Let's hope they (Renault) don't use two-tone colouring based on Limahl's old hairdo" what is borderline defamatory, like Tabloid journalism does. It has nothing to do with the automotive industry, the tabloid "wrote" this "text" even before the car was officially shown to the press, so nothing can be "informed" there, and Renault never claimed obviously to be a fan of "cage a googoo", they publish a photo of another vehicle, the Kwid, not the Kadjar, so they influence people in a wrong way, they publish some photos of the singer of a music band that is not connected at all with Renault. According to you, why a patrol user added such a source in first position in the WP article, from a tabloid that is not connected to the automotive industry, to replace the previous WP source ? And why the patrols do not remove it, while my very serious sources to the official ECOTY website are removed again and again, in spite of my explanations in the "talk" area. Is it a normal action on WP ?
  • [3]. A "patrol" user accuses the independent EuroNCAP company to be bad faith and to promotes Renault : "rm promotional content sourced with EuroNCAP press releases and Renault's self-promotion. Wikipedia isn't the marketing dep. of Renault, we need third-party coverage for such claims.", whereas this company works for ALL the carmakers, and is totally independent : it is the official institution that makes the crash tests for ALL the carmakers, so it is truely a third party assessment, on the contrary of what the patrol user claims. Is it normal to make such strong accusations from a WP account about an independent company and denying that it is a third party company, whereas it is definitely one ?
  • Here a patrol user removes again a Renault model from a list, because he says that the list is too long, but why 20 models from 6 brands can be cited, except Renault ? [[4]]. Notice that someone put Ford and Opel first in the list, but after these 2 brands the list is in alphabetical order. But this "patrol" did not correct that, it only removed Renault especially. Is it a normal behaviour to keep all the brands except one and to put 2 brands GM and Ford first, whereas after it is the alphabetical order ? The same people want Ford and GM to be cited in the Renault article, whereas there is no business connection between them and Renault where they added these words and WP links. What would you say to the people who would wonder if it is a recurrent case of favouritism on WP ?
  • Here a "patrol" user removes the photo of Renault Captur that is the most sold in Europe, but keeps the second SUV [5]] Not logical... Yet there is enough space to put 2 photos. But only Renault is removed...
  • And there are many, many other actions that seem strange to some readers who contacted me (on my journalist address)

Notice that I make no accusation myself, I just ask you if these actions are normal and if you support them as an administrator. If you can give me some advice and participate to a process to solve these problem concretely, then thank you, because up to now, following the usual WP discussions process, I could not get that the wrong links could be changed by my relevant ones, neither that my relevant sourced would not be erased without any explanation that these ones PRECISELY should be removed, whereas my links answer relevantly to the numerous "challenges" that targets Renault especially, you can check each of my links, they are good. 83.157.24.224 (talk) 16:21, 9 March 2015 (UTC)

Thank you for reviewing the article Time series database. I noticed that you deleted all external links on one go that users built over the course of several years. College of Home Economics, Azimpur, Dhaka

I have created this page some days ago College of Home Economics, Azimpur, Dhaka recently i have seen this page was deleted because of copyright. It should be noted that this was an article about a govt college. So, i used some information from college official page which is not violation of copyright as they are public info. Also i copied some from http://www.ebanglapedia.com/en/article.php?id=2447&title=Home-Economics-College#.VOx9ZHyUf3Q which is govt encyclopedia and that is also free to distribute. These are informative articles. So, I cant write my own. Or you can suggest me what to do. There is a Bengali version of this article exists গার্হস্থ্য_অর্থনীতি_কলেজ,_আজিমপুর,_ঢাকা . So please reconsider an undelete the article. I could not contest speedy deletion because I didn't log in to the Wikipedia for a few days. Thank You. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Shafi aszad (talkcontribs) 08:04, 10 March 2015 (UTC)

All material that you find online is copyright, unless it's specifically been released under license. Even for websites that are not specifically marked as being copyright, we have to assume it is copyright unless it is marked with a Wikipedia-compatible license. Wikipedia:Copying text from other sources has more information on this topic. You can't copy it to Wikipedia unless you have permission from the copyright holder. In addition to Banglapedia, the material appears at http://www.govhec.edu.bd/brief-history-college-of-home-economics/ and http://www.govhec.edu.bd/status-of-the-college, which is where the Banglapedia site probably copied it from. Sorry, -- Diannaa (talk) 14:31, 10 March 2015 (UTC)

Dear Dianna, there are many written articles on Combis. Can I get the opportunity to fix the text? Is it necessary to have articles from newspapers in English or may be in other languages? --Integrator 30 (talk) 15:08, 10 March 2015 (UTC)

Sorry, I am unable to restore the article, as all of the prose was copied from other websites. The article has to be written in your own words. Everything should be sourced, with some of the sources being newspaper articles or websites unrelated to the school. It's better if the sources are in English, so that it is easier to verify that the information is there. Good luck. -- Diannaa (talk) 15:17, 10 March 2015 (UTC)

Page Deletion

Hi Diannaa - I am new to Wikipedia so forgive me for any mistakes etc please but you recently deleted a page I created for Danny Guba on the basis of copyright infringement and notability. I wrote the material myself to ensure that it was different from that of Danny Guba's website and I also have permission from him to create the page. Furthermore, Danny has featured in numerous martial arts publications, documentaries etc and is one of the foremost Doce Pares Eskrima practitioners in the world. I think it is only right that he has his own Wikipedia page as he is world-renowned and very famous in the UK.

Please can you advise me how to create this page without it being removed?

Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by NXKMartialArts (talkcontribs) 09:38, 11 March 2015 (UTC)

Thank you for your interest in creating an article for wikipedia. There is actually more than one problem with your submission. There was still some copyright material in the article, as the general information about Guba Doce Pares International was copied from http://www.docepares-europe.com/History.html. In addition to the copyright issue, the second problem is notability. You don't have multiple independent sources that demonstrate that Mr Guba notable enough, as Wikipedia defines it, to have an article. We require write-ups in reliable third party sources such as newpapers, magazines, or online publishers to establish notability. The only source that is independent of the subject of the article is this one, which is an interview with Mr Guba. However, it states that he is a world champion. For some reason this information did not get into the article. In what year did he win the title? Have you got any more sources that substantiate that claim? -- Diannaa (talk) 13:55, 11 March 2015 (UTC)

Hi Diannaa,

Thank you for the explanation, I will ensure that I have more sources prepared before producing the page again. Yes he is a 5 time world champion and has DVDs etc which I can link to the page. I will amass my sources first and remove or modify the Guba Doce Pares reference next time.

Also, I would like to add an image to the article if possible?

Thanks again.

NXK Martial Arts. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.240.17.66 (talk) 15:12, 11 March 2015 (UTC)

Please don't upload any photos that already appear elsewhere online, unless you have the copyright holder's permission to do so and they are prepared to release them to us under license. Please see WP:consent for instructions if uploading someone else's photos for which you have permission. For photos you have taken yourself, the best thing to do is to upload them at the Commons. commons:Special:UploadWizard. It's not too hard, trust me -- Diannaa (talk) 22:24, 11 March 2015 (UTC)

Hi Diannaa,

I got your message about my username and I'll change it as soon as i figure out how to... :) ...btw...I found GettyImage's picture on Zimbio, and I would like to upload it, but I don't know if I can. I assume that you know the answer... :)

Thanks in advance and best regards,

Time Series Database

Re: User talk:Diannaa/Archive 38#Time Series Database It takes several years and many man-months to build a specialized database management system, so this list is destined to be finite. I would agree that 20 years from now the technology will mature similar to relational database: Relational database. Right now the list of database implementations is useful in its diversity because the article itself doesn't contain sufficient information on time-series transformations, storage schemas, and query languages supported by time-series databases. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rodionos (talkcontribs) 20:50, 11 March 2015 (UTC)

More disruption by an IP you've warned before

Hello,

This IP has gotten three warnings by now for disruption, yet he's continuing as of recent on Parthia and Ancient Near East. It's extemely disruptive, unsourced and annoying.

Orangesaft (talk) 18:09, 12 March 2015 (UTC)

I have issued another more blunt warning. Please let me know if the activity continues. -- Diannaa (talk) 18:22, 12 March 2015 (UTC)

Thanks :) Btw, here's another editor who's only making disruptive unsourced bogus edits. [6] [7] [8] I reverted some of it for now, but it's annoying and deserves for sure a warning.

Brazzabelle

Hi Dianna - I am not an expert at Wikipedia however you deleted my page Brazzabelle which meets Wikipedias Music bios criteria, Brazzabelle has appeared on national television on the Young Hollywood Awards[1], has music charted on national charts, and released on credible labels such like Interscope and Atlantic Records. I have listed my IMDB Profile as well as press articles as reference is this not enough? If so could you please help me find out what I need to do to avoid deletion and better prove I meet guidelines? --Twenty20below (talk) 02:05, 13 March 2015 (UTC)

References

The article was deleted as the result of a deletion discussion in 2012, and again in 2014. I reviewed the new article and the subject is still not notable enough, as Wikipedia defines it, to qualify for an article at this time. For musicians, the criteria can be found here. I searched on http://www.billboard.com/ and there's no record of any of your music charting on any of the charts that they track. IMDB is not considered a reliable source, as it is user-generated content. Sorry, -- Diannaa (talk) 02:15, 13 March 2015 (UTC)

smurderer

I would like to change my username I guess. Even though smurd is just drums backwards...

Yeah, and Redrum is murder backwards. It's up to you I guess; the current user name is not wildly offensive. -- Diannaa (talk) 14:46, 13 March 2015 (UTC)

So much vandalism (inappropriate content) in sandbox

WP:Sandbox has been vandalised so many times. I found that last edit with 100 000 bytes which is trolling. Can you see the history page? -- Pikachu2568 (talk) (please {{re}}) @ 13:56, 13 March 2015 (UTC)

@Pikachu2568: There used to be a vandal who specialized in sandbox edits. I wouldn't worry about it too much as there's two different bots that patrol the page. -- Diannaa (talk) 14:45, 13 March 2015 (UTC)

Page Deletion

Hi Diannaa,

I'm a very new Wikipedia editor, and I noticed that you deleted a page I was working on. I completely agree with your decision; I was in the middle of building a page about cellist Leyla MacCalla, left the editor box open, and must have created the page by accident before I was ready. I'm now working in an outside editor to finish the page, making sure to include independent sources to affirm notability, removing any text I'd temporarily copied from news articles into the editor box for reference, and attempting to contact the artist for permission. Once I finish the page and re-create it, I hope you'll take another look and let me know if there are any problems.

FYI, I started working on the page at a Wikipedia Edit-a-Thon held by the group Art and Feminism. The page was on the group's task list: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Meetup/ArtAndFeminism/Tasks

Cheers, Fixomatic (talk) 21:15, 13 March 2015 (UTC)

Hi there Fixomatic. Thanks for your interest in contributing to Wikipedia. Sorry the page had to be deleted. Unfortunately we can't host copyright content on the site, even temporarily. Please feel free to let me know when you have a new version ready. -- Diannaa (talk) 22:06, 13 March 2015 (UTC)
Thanks! Coincidentally, it looks like someone else (probably from the same event I attended) jumped in the other day and created the page instead of me: Leyla McCalla Fixomatic (talk) 19:26, 16 March 2015 (UTC)

Delete my Article

Hello: until now I do not know why my article deleted (Emirates Transport )? The page content like https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emirates_%28airline%29 regards — Preceding unsigned comment added by Appteco (talkcontribs) 01:17, 14 March 2015 (UTC)

The article was deleted because most of the content was copied from https://www.et.gov.ae/ and https://www.et.gov.ae/ETMediaKitLibrary/ET+Annual+Report+2013.pdf, which are copyright documents not in the public domain. The photos were also deleted, as you copied them here without any evidence that you had permission of the copyright holder to upload them here. Prose and photographs you find online is almost always copyright, and cannot be copied here; it's against the law to do so. All prose must be written in your own words. There's more information about copyrights and how it applies to Wikipedia at Wikipedia:FAQ/Copyright. If the copyright holder wishes to release this material under license to Wikipedia, please follow the instructions at WP:consent. -- Diannaa (talk) 01:22, 14 March 2015 (UTC)

Mein Kampf

The current statement "He believed only one race would survive this struggle, so to ensure the survival of the German people he proposed the extermination of the Jews." needs to be changed.

There is nowhere in the book that Hitler speaks of exterminating Jews or a future plan to exterminate Jews.--Hashi0707 (talk) 18:22, 14 March 2015 (UTC)

Sorry, the reason this reversion was not included in my edit summary, for lack of space. The citation is Kershaw 2008 pages 148 to 150. At the bottom of page 149, Kershaw quotes Hitler as saying in Mein Kampf, "The nationalization of our masses will succeed only when...their international poisoners are exterminated." Kershaw states that the fact that Hitler envisioned this creating additional living space for the Germanic peoples indicates he meant literal extermination. Kershaw page 150, states "its inherent genocidal thrust is undeniable". -- Diannaa (talk) 18:36, 14 March 2015 (UTC)

Non-sequitur. Kershaw speaks on Hitler's words the 'removal of the Jews' and then gives his own interpretation of his words. Kershaw concludes that various statements had a genocidal vision but does not say that Hitler proposed for a future plan to exterminate Jews. The fact remains that nowhere in the book does Hitler speak of a future plan to exterminate Jews.--Hashi0707 (talk) 23:19, 14 March 2015 (UTC)

Okay, understood. I have taken that sentence out. In the future, could you please post article comments on the article talk page? That way if anyone else is interested in commenting, they will see the discussion. Thanks, -- Diannaa (talk) 23:30, 14 March 2015 (UTC)

TCO's manifesto changed the way I edit Wikipedia.

No I don't. The exact year is not stated in either Kershaw or Görtemaker. Sorry, -- Diannaa (talk) 18:37, 14 March 2015 (UTC)
On another issue, I significantly improved Pact of Steel and Adolf Hitler's 50th birthday a few days ago, with the purpose of getting them both to GA-status (like yourself, I've also decided that my time is spend best by improving articles to GA-status and then move on to the next, instead of fingerling with FA-candidates). If you would glance over them (not really long either of them) and do some copyedits I'd appreciate that. Jonas Vinther • (speak to me!) 20:01, 14 March 2015 (UTC)
The turning point for me was when user:TCO published a powerpoint critique of the featured article process back in 2011. If I can't tell the difference between FA-quality prose and GA-quality prose, I'm sure our audience can't either, so for the readership in our topic area (primarily high school students studying WWII for the first time) it's not worthwhile. It seemed to me instead to be quite important to get as many articles as possible on core topics up to a minimum standard for sourcing and comprehensiveness. It's the kind of hobby that we can be proud of, a very worthwhile contribution. I will try to get your copy edit requests completed today or tomorrow. -- Diannaa (talk) 21:53, 14 March 2015 (UTC)
No rush. :) Jonas Vinther • (speak to me!) 22:03, 14 March 2015 (UTC)

Betti-Sue Hertz

Dear Diannaa, I am new to Wikipedia so forgive me for any mistakes etc. You recently deleted a page I created for Betti-Sue Hertz on the basis of copyright infringement and notability. The material that overlapped with the Yerba Buena Center page on Betti-Sue Hertz was just a list with dates of where she worked. I can rewrite it and also have permission from her to create the page.

Please can you advise me how to create this page without it being removed? At this point it looks like I need your help in proceeding.

Thanks, Lisa — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lisebloca (talkcontribs) 19:16, 15 March 2015 (UTC)

Hi Lise. The main problem with the article was notability; for people, the notability requirement Wikipedia:Notability (people) states that there has to be in-depth coverage (not just mentions) in several sources independent of the subject. Another good benchmark is whether or not the person has won any awards. As far as I can tell, Betti-Sue Hertz does not seem to meet the notability requirement at the present time. A good place for you to ask questions is at the WP:Teahouse, where there's editors experienced in helping new users. Thank you for your interest in contributing to the encyclopedia. -- Diannaa (talk) 21:58, 15 March 2015 (UTC)

Thank You very much for the help !

Good Morning Diannaa! First of all a big thank you for the final edit of the page Che in paona bazaar , Really I was so depressed yesterday for the harsh behavior of one of your colleague. I have joined Wikipedia this year only, with the interest of writings, but I am not the computer student and being very much new in this area, I feel uneasy when I write about something because of wrongly put computer languages most of the time but if you all help me then I can be able to solve my problems in near future, I bought few books like Che in Paona bazaar via flipcart, read it and found it interesting to write on Wikipedia, before that , I wrote about the author Mr. Kishalay Bhattacharjee, We Indians are ardent fan of him because of his enlighten news and he is one of the finest story teller about the veiled part of North East India, So after finished writing and got edited by so many wikipedia editors, because that was my 1st topic, I was so excited and asked google team when it would be appearing in the google 1st page, might be its a silly questions to you all... but remember how did you feel when your 1st writing was seen in google page ? I do Not know that journalist personally, only seen via television , and how would you be feeling if someone charge you that you are the journalist in disguise and try to sell your book via wikipedia ??!! Its so embarrassing !! Yes we have some cultural variations, but we do not behave like this with an unknown person. Have a heart dear ! Its not the continent to continent problem not with the countries, its on you , depends on people's upbringing, how much they care others or how much they have the quality to teach others , everyone cant be the teacher , Right ? Anyways, God is there to judge those arrogant. If I have any bad intention of book selling then I argue with you for the massive change of the page, But as a learner I should respect you as a teacher. God Bless. Gargi 12:34, 16 March 2015 (UTC)

Thank you for the message. -- Diannaa (talk) 14:13, 16 March 2015 (UTC)

Nuremberg Laws

D-- while the "flag law" part is interesting, I don't believe it should be included; but if you decide otherwise, I would suggest it be re-added as a footnote (with book cite). Kierzek (talk) 20:19, 16 March 2015 (UTC)

So you're saying it's a little off topic? I will think about this. By the way I got the photo of Christa Schroeder today. It turned out good. I will upload it tomorrow, because I forgot to get the source info out of the book, which is on my desk at work. -- Diannaa (talk) 22:32, 16 March 2015 (UTC)
Well I guess Jonas has already uploaded a pic of Christa Schroeder. I think the pic with Hitler is colorized, and would prefer to use one that is not. I will send you by email a copy of what I found in the book, so you can help decide what to do next. -- Diannaa (talk) 22:39, 16 March 2015 (UTC)
A footnote would do then for the "flag law", if you wish. As for the photo, I reviewed it and the b&w one is more unique. Kierzek (talk) 02:44, 17 March 2015 (UTC)
I think we can omit the details about the flag law altogether. It's already discussed at Flag of Germany#Nazi Germany. Thanks for your input on the photo. -- Diannaa (talk) 02:47, 17 March 2015 (UTC)
I removed the last "flag" comment from the lede. If you think, for completeness sake only, it still needs a mention you can add it as a "See also". Up to you. Kierzek (talk) 13:13, 17 March 2015 (UTC)

Margaret_Gelling

You deleted a picture I uploaded of my aunt, whose sole heir I am, which I created by scanning her expired passport which is among her effects and thus mine. Oddly someone had generated a PNG of the JPEG I uploaded, and the deletion seemed to go backwards from that. I did remark on the image page - which already had provenance on it - to this effect. I suspect the process is broken. Midgley (talk) 23:02, 17 March 2015 (UTC)

Hi Midgley. Both images were nominated for deletion together, at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files/2015 February 25#File:M gelling 1965.png. The problem is that it's a passport photo of unknown provenance, and there's no evidence that you are the copyright holder and have the right to release it to Wikipedia under license. There's no evidence that the image was published elsewhere before being uploaded here, so it's not eligible for fair use. -- Diannaa (talk) 23:08, 17 March 2015 (UTC)

Hi Diana

A little while ago you deleted my article as an administrator on Deep Ocean Minerals https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Draft:Deep_Ocean_Minerals&action=edit&redlink=1 and since then have emailed administrators twice to address the copyright issues that was raised. I explained that I had been given permission to use a word document as the basis of the article - and some of this word document was used in a printed online article. So there was some confusion on my part as I am new to all this. He very helpfully explained that a form needed to be filled out by the author of the article which has been done (see text below). I still haven't heard back from administrators yet even though the copyright has been released so any issues are covered.....

Extended content

I hereby affirm that I, Anthony Philip JACOBS, am the creator and hold the original Word Documents of the exclusive copyright of http://www.harnisch.com/uploads/tx_harnisch/wfe_0314minerals_and_trace_elements.pdf I have provided the Wikipedia Author, Thaiso, permission to use this material for a Wikipedia article on Deep Ocean Minerals. Hi Diannaa. With regards to this block, I can't see how the username is a violation of the policy - it's abundantly obvious that he doesn't represent the Communist Party, and I can't locate any organisation called "Communist Party Van". The username is a portmanteau of "Communist Party" and "Party van" (a 4chan meme referring to FBI surveillance vehicles), not a group name. I'm planning to lift the block unless you have any objections; please let me know if I've overlooked something. Thanks, Yunshui  08:55, 20 March 2015 (UTC)

Hi Diannaa, forgive my ignorance, but what's the difference between using WP:OTRS as opposed to WP:CONSENT for these kinds of copyright issues? Thanks.--Bbb23 (talk) 16:39, 22 March 2015 (UTC)

Hi Bbb23. There's a few links that can be offered: WP:OTRS, WP:CONSENT, or Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. I like to use WP:consent because it gives clear instructions as to what needs to be included in the permission email, suggests a layout for the email, and offers a link to a list of compatible licenses. -- Diannaa (talk) 16:45, 22 March 2015 (UTC)

Justin P. Wilson

Hello. I see you blocked this IP address before. They keep adding that Justin P. Wilson has two sons from his first marriage, but I haven't found a reference for it. I have had to remove it several times and it is getting annoying. One edit history said, "I am the first wife and mother of the first two children and aborted child", another one "I am Mr Wilsons First Wife-- Donna Danner Wilson from 1973-1981. We had two sons during this marriage and were expecting a third child that was aborted at Mr Wilson's", etc., but that's not a reliable source obviously. It might be true, but without a reference I just don't think the info should be added. What do you think?Zigzig20s (talk) 05:11, 23 March 2015 (UTC)

It can't be added without a secondary source. Primary sources are not okay for information such as this. And of course we have no way of knowing whether they are who they say they are. This has been going on for years; see for example Wikipedia:Help desk/Archives/2012 October 23#justin p wilson. I will put something kind on their talk page later if you don't get to it first. -- Diannaa (talk) 14:24, 23 March 2015 (UTC)
This is getting old. What can we do? I have not reverted it yet because it is simply annoying and they may add it right back if I do.Zigzig20s (talk) 20:47, 23 March 2015 (UTC)
The IP is really stable, they've had it for years, so I have blocked for 6 months. -- Diannaa (talk) 20:52, 23 March 2015 (UTC)

JohnnyUtahNo9 Username followup question

Hello again and thank you for your timely response to my administrator help request. I realize it was unlikely but was making one last attempt to retain my contribution history. Actually, my en-wiki account was not compromised, but rather for some reason Wikipedia allowed an ru-wiki User with the same name (when it was Thisfireburns) to take it over when that person applied for a global account. Subsequently, I lost access when my 30-day log in expired (the reason it has not been used since October 2014). I tried having the Username of the en-wiki account changed and merged with a new account I created (JohnnyUtahNo9) through the Stewards, but that did not work; it just applied the "self-usurped" tag to this one. Is there any way then to terminate that account to free up the Username so that I may recreate it (and have an en-wiki account with my unified JohnnyUtahNo9 login)? Regards. JohnnyUtahNo9 (self-usurped) (talk) 13:22, 23 March 2015 (UTC)

Hi there. Sorry, I don't know the answer to that question, I think it's unlikely unless you have the password. Try posing your question at meta:Stewards' noticeboard. A simple solution would be to create a new account; what say you make like Gretzky and use #99 since #9 is already taken?   -- Diannaa (talk) 14:16, 23 March 2015 (UTC)

Hi Diannaa,

Would you have a look at this section of Bonny Hicks? It's something I don't recall seeing before, although I understand the reasoning if copied over directly from citizendium.org. I plugged away at some copy-edit stuff for a while, and Twofingered Typist also made some significant improvements to it. As there's been some significant (IMO) changes made, does that notification need to stay on the article? I know you're pretty up-to-speed on this kind of thing, and was hoping you'd have a look. Thank you. — Ched :  ?  00:26, 24 March 2015 (UTC)

Hi Ched! I checked using the copyvios tool, and there's still a huge overlap, so I think it should stay. However I am not convinced that it needs to be in Bold and Italics :) -- Diannaa (talk) 00:32, 24 March 2015 (UTC)
Thanks Diannaa. It doesn't really bother me that it's there, I just hadn't noticed things like that before. I know there's usually a note in an edit summary if you're starting an article from another source though. Thanks for the look. Much appreciated. (I'll add that tool to my set if it's not already there). Cheers. — Ched :  ?  00:42, 24 March 2015 (UTC)

Deleted image with pending WP:OTRS request

Dear Diannaa,

Thanks for your efforts on Wikipedia. The file File:Multinet Wireless Virtualization.jpg had a pending OTRS request in the OTRS system - could I ask that the file be reinstated, or if you could please let me know steps I can take to assure Wikipedia that adequate permissions have been granted by the creators of the image? The creators of the image have sent mail that should be in the OTRS system.

Kjamieson78 (talk) 18:23, 24 March 2015 (UTC)

Hi there. Sorry for not noticing the image was tagged as OTRS pending. There's instructions as to what should be included in the email at WP:Consent. Sorry, I am not an OTRS team member and don't have access to their email queue, so I can't say for sure what is happening with this file. -- Diannaa (talk) 18:44, 24 March 2015 (UTC)

John T. Lupton II

Hello again. I don't want to edit-war, so I have not reverted this edit again. But I think it should be removed for two reasons: 1) the reference links to an unreliable website, so it could be made up 2) It's a long quote, which is not really standard on Wikipedia and does not seem particularly critical to the article. Do you want to keep the quote or would you like to remove it and explain to the other editor why it is inappropriate please? Thank you.Zigzig20s (talk) 22:04, 24 March 2015 (UTC)

Rick570

Hi Diannaa, I can't find out where I could have my say on the "serial copyright violator" accusations. Out of the 200+ articles I commenced on wikipedia over the last 8 years, my accuser thinks he has found 5 violations. I think they can be corrected. Most of them, however, relate to userpage articles which is where I do my "rough copies" and collect material before producing the final article for publication. The two recent deletions are examples, both from my userpage under a heading "under construction". Once I have published an article, the User article is redundant. I should nominate them for deletion. But I am unsure how to do that. Perhaps I should do all my rough work in Word. My accuser says that my usepage is replete with copyright notices. But I can't find them. Most of the notices relate to notability concerns of BLPs and disambiguation. I would be grateful if you would let me know how and where I can state my case and any other information I should be aware of. Kind regards,Rick570 (talk) 02:32, 26 March 2015 (UTC)

Hi Rick570. Sorry for the alarming news.
  • Making copies of copyright material is not permitted anywhere on Wikipedia, including in sandboxes and userspace drafts. It's easy to nominate subpages in your userspace for deletion; just tag them with the template {{Db-u1}}. A list of your subpages can be found here.
  • The place to respond to the copyright investigation is here. For some suggestions on responding, please see Responding to a CCI case. It won't be up to me to decide whether or not there's enough to warrant a case; that decision is made by the CCI clerks or uninvolved admins. -- Diannaa (talk) 02:41, 26 March 2015 (UTC)
Thanks for your help.Rick570 (talk) 03:47, 26 March 2015 (UTC)

CCI

Hi Diannaa. I don't know how to add to the CCI investigation you have started on Rick570 so I'll post some more evidence here in case you're interested.

A lot of Gerrard Beeson appeared to have been a copyright violation from the Rotary source in the article.
Tim Garner appeared to be a very close paraphrasing of this source.
Terry Locke was started [11] with text copied from [12]

If you know how I can add this myself please let me know, if not can I impose on you to do so? Thanks. duffbeerforme (talk) 12:55, 26 March 2015 (UTC)

I've added Terry Locke. For the others, the source links are irrecoverably dead and the articles were deleted, so there's not much to say. -- Diannaa (talk) 14:52, 26 March 2015 (UTC)

my edit on mathematics

hi,

i understand your point of concern, however i think it is also unfair that the editor ignored my warning in the previous edit.

it is not appropriate to put some hindu prophet in the edits. it's not just hindu prophets, ANY prophet.

why would someone put this prophet in the mathematics section? no one knew of the individual he was referring to. - i am from canada. i would like to think our public education was quite strong. i have learned of many mathematicians and philosophers during school. baudhyanana or whatever their name is, was not one of them. in fact, you could argue the page was PERFECT before (even _WITH_ alhazen).

archimedes, euclid, thales, pythagoras. learned of all of them. i remember archimedes' principle of buoyancy being illustrated in my grade FOUR math textbook. baudhyanana? nope. i would like to think the multicultural aspect of my country did not lead to a blatant omission of baudhyana; maybe it was moreso because they did not contribute as much as the previous editor wanted to believe? i've never heard of either, and yes while i'm still learning mathematics, i do not think these individuals were such huge contributors (akin to Newton, Leibniz, Fermat, etc etc) that they deserved mention...

i understand many Greats were religious, which is completely fine by me; that withstanding: Newton, Descartes, etc are not apart of 'Series on Christianity' (nor is Sir Wiles, etc)

how is it fair to the field of mathematics when individuals insert undeserving individuals, let alone religious prophets, into the page where "The Greats" are? especially given that there is no protection on the page, anyone affiliated with a religious sect can just pop their favourite person into the page. in this case, no one was disputing his edit but me because not many people care about mathematics.

i honestly find it hard to refrain from personal attacks when the individual clearly didn't want to discuss the edit at all. he was warned, and reverted without ANY reasoning. where is his warning?

believe you me, i'm all about religious freedom and everyone has the right to practice their own religion. however, i have a problem with some people who insert their own bias into a topic. the page was fine. he disturbed it unnecessarily and inserted two individuals of hindu faith. was that coincidence?

lastly: how is calling someone a hindu fundamentalist an attack? i do not feel it was an attack.

'lorentz loving loser' may have been an attack, and yes i went a little far. that was because the editor whom i reverted did not argue his points on the talk page (as the person he was reverting asked for a discussion, which went ignored). i was upset to see that one individual was exercising proper wikieditiquette, while the other blatantly disregarded it as he had some bias with respect to the content being edit (it was on lorentz' work, and the individual is an unabashed fan of lorentz)

i am just trying to get some clarification. i didn't speculate on someone's religious faith. i just see no reason why someone would insert a hindu prophet into a mathematics page. i am having a hard time believing it's appropriate at all. i am not trying to stir the pot. i do not want to get banned. i just want to make sure we're all on the same page as i feel i have some use to this community (not as much as others though).

thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.3.213.121 (talk) 23:39, 28 March 2015 (UTC)

If you find it hard to refrain from personal attacks, Wikipedia is not the website for you. I repeat, speculating that someone is a Hindu fundamentalist is not on. Also, don't say rude stuff like this or this or this in your edit summaries. You will be blocked if you do. -- Diannaa (talk) 00:18, 29 March 2015 (UTC)

hi, i would just appreciate if wikipedia protected certain pages involving mathematics.

i found another edit on history of mathematics from someone with an indian IP that incorrectly tried to 'extend' the history of indian mathematics to start at 3000 BC: edit: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=History_of_mathematics&diff=653914682&oldid=653780326 ip range: http://www.nirsoft.net/countryip/in.html the cited text (p208 of boyer, edition 1) stated 2000 BC. even so, i left it at 2600-1900 to ensure a FAIR discussion happens before changing these dates back to 2000 BC.

to me, this seems like someone from india wanted the history of indian mathematics to start as early as babylonians, and did not even cite it. i know that i came off as anti-hindu, so i will let you draw your own conclusions as to the probability of this editor being of hindu denomination. i am just stating that if the IP is from india, there is a 78.35% chance the person is hindu. it could be someone else for all i know, so i am not trying to jump to conclusions. i am just stating the numbers.

since i am unfamiliar with wikipedia protocol: is it possible to point me in the direction where editing certain pages requires a 'passthrough' by someone with appropriate credibility/knowledge in the field?

again, i understand that my conduct in the edit comments was wrong and i'm trying to be mindful of that as i state this ONE example (i know ONE case does not generalize, nor am i saying it does. it just worries me) as time goes on, i feel that people will try to edit these pages to bias/favour their own (i.e. the place form which they originated were the 'first' or 'earliest' to contribute to mathematics).

tyvm for your respnose 174.3.213.121 (talk) 00:38, 29 March 2015 (UTC)

Please don't speculate in your edit summaries or on talk pages on the motives as to why the user made the edit. If people are adding unsourced stuff, or not adhering to a neutral point of view, it can be removed for that reason. Just give that reason for removal in your edit summary. Or if you think they are not using reliable enough sources, say so, and open a discussion on the talk page as to why not. Protection: There's two main kinds of page protection. Semi-protection prevents IPs from editing; it's most commonly used to protect pages from vandalism. Full protection prevents anyone but admins from editing. It's most commonly used in the event of an edit war. There's no form of protection that can keep un-knowledgeable people from editing. That's just something we have to accept as part of the open editing policy, one of the five pillars, not likely to change anytime soon. -- Diannaa (talk) 00:50, 29 March 2015 (UTC)

Bgwhite/OccultZone

Hi Diannaa, I made a promise to stay out hands off from this topic, but I need to speak up in defense of Bgwhite as this is partially my fault. Technically Bgwhite only got involved on a mediational basis; he had unblocked a few people who had been on the page in question after a crazy situation, (which can be seen in OccultZone's talk page discussion with another admin Swarm higher up, and tried to mediate a compromise by providing an alternate writeup that was agreeable by most on the talk page, even by OccultZone. The only "influence" he practiced was of an admin keeping peace. Beyond that, Bgwhite only protected the page whenever the situation started getting out of hand again (once by my request, since he was the previous blocking admin). I hope this will not be taken against him. Zhanzhao (talk) 01:42, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
I'm not sure whether the blocking admin could be construed as involved or not, but it was a bad block regardless, because OccultZone had already realized that the IP was permitted to remove the block notice and has ceased restoring it. See here, where OccultZone at 17:55 makes a dummy edit acknowledging that the content could indeed be removed. This diff shows me reiterating that fact at 18:25. The block did not occur until 21:06, three hours after OccultZone's dummy edit and four hours after OccultZone's final revert at 17:07. I have to log off now, see you tomorrow. -- Diannaa (talk) 02:50, 30 March 2015 (UTC)

PacksGaming unblock

Hey Diannaa. I hope you're well. Just wanted to notify you that I've reviewed and overturned the username soft block for PacksGamingHD. I see how one could get that impression that the username is representing something but I did a bit of investigation and evidently the username represents an individual and it's their username of choice on multiple websites. Would've put the unblock request on hold and waited for your input comment just to be safe, but you appear to be gone for the night and I'm fairly confident that it was an uncontroversial decision, so I didn't see any reason to keep the user waiting. Declined request by an editor with a conflict of interest

Dear Diannaa,

Thank you for looking at my edit request on the Environmental Defense Fund entry. As I mentioned, I do work for Environmental Defense Fund and therefore did not want to make any edits myself. I tried to suggest edits that fit within the Conflict of interest policy and that would correctly represent the sources being cited by previous editors. Any feedback on why this request was decline would be helpful.

Best, Kent Kent 22:32, 30 March 2015 (UTC)

Hello Mr Strauss. It was a procedural decline, because the current request had been on the page for nearly five months and the original request since July 2013, with no editor interested in implementing your proposed changes. Re-reading the discussions present on the talk page, I can see why no one has implemented your suggested edits: it removes sourced information about the damage done to communities and families as the result of consolidation of fisheries into corporate-owned fleets. -- Diannaa (talk) 23:13, 30 March 2015 (UTC)

FC Porto

Hi, it's me again.

Could you correct in FC Porto's page (FC Porto) the sentence "Porto is the one of the most successful Portuguese clubs in terms of overall titles, having won a total of 74 official titles" to "Porto is one of the most successful Portuguese clubs in terms of overall titles, having won a total of 74 official titles"?

Furthermore, Benfica has won 76 titles (as you can see here: Football in Portugal#List of football clubs in Portugal by major honours won) and not 73 (as you can see here: European association football club records#Most trophies ever). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.193.7.134 (talk) 01:42, 31 March 2015 (UTC)

I did the first one, but not the second, because it's asking for a breakdown of domestic/international titles. If you would use the {{edit semi-protected}} template on the article talk page once you have that information, someone will perform the edit for you. -- Diannaa (talk) 01:53, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
Ok. Could you change the Portuguese Super Cups Benfica won (as you can see here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S.L._Benfica_%28handball%29#Honours) to 1989, 1993, 2010 and 2012? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.193.7.134 (talk) 02:53, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
