Fir-Tex
editCopyright problem: FIR-TEX
editHello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as FIR-TEX, but we regretfully cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from either web sites or printed material. This article appears to be a copy from http://wikibin.org/articles/fir-tex.html, and therefore a copyright violation. The copyrighted text has been or will soon be deleted. While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with our copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators are liable to be blocked from editing.
If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under allowance license, then you should do one of the following:
- If you have permission from the author to release the text under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License (CC-BY-SA), leave a message explaining the details at Talk:FIR-TEX and send an email with confirmation of permission to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". Make sure you quote the exact page name, FIR-TEX, in your email. See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
- If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted "under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License (CC-BY-SA), version 3.0, or that the material is released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:FIR-TEX with a link to where we can find that note.
- If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License and GNU Free Documentation License, and note that you have done so on Talk:FIR-TEX. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for instructions.
It may also be necessary for the text be modified to have an encyclopedic tone and to follow Wikipedia article layout. For more information on Wikipedia's policies, see Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
If you would like to begin working on a new version of the article you may do so at this temporary page. Leave a note at Talk:FIR-TEX saying you have done so and an administrator will move the new article into place once the issue is resolved. Thank you, and please feel welcome to continue contributing to Wikipedia. Happy editing! Acather96 (talk) 07:17, 9 May 2010 (UTC) You only rewrote the first paragraph, and even that had very little difference to the original.
Speedy deletion nomination of FIR-TEX
editA tag has been placed on FIR-TEX requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Re: Your question
editWell, the best place to start GENERALLY, in my opinion, is looking over the criteria in WP:Notability, particularly WP:CORP for companies and products. You might check out the article wizard for a decent step-by-step tutorial, as well. - Vianello (Talk) 19:17, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
The product FIR-TEX has been sited now by numerous independant sources, and, to my opinion, fullfills all the requirements made by Wiki. Please let me know why it should not be included in wikipedia? Fir-Tex 21:42, 17 May 2010 (UTC)
- If these things are true, I can't think of any reason it shouldn't be, as long as it is portrayed in a neutral and encyclopedic perspective. - Vianello (Talk) 21:45, 17 May 2010 (UTC)
- I certainly think these are true, but how do i get it back? Fir-Tex 15:54, 19 May 2010 (UTC)

I've had to shorten it considerably to comply with WP:NPOV, I've added allot of references, made sure it is not written like an advert and also have added the logo. Hope this is alright :) Thanks,Acather96 (talk) 18:08, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
