Welcome!

edit

Hello, DrEricss, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome!   Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Your user page may not meet Wikipedia's user page guidelines. It is intended for basic information about yourself, your interests and goals as they relate to editing Wikipedia, as well as disclosures of conflicts of interest and paid editing. Although a lot of freedom is allowed in personalizing your user page, it is not:

The user page guidelines have additional information on what is and what is not considered acceptable content. Please use your user sandbox or the draft article space to practice editing or to create new articles. Thank you. Drm310 🍁 (talk) 14:15, 7 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

I have blanked the content of your userpage as it is not appropriate content. I can also tell you that the way you wrote it would never stand a chance of being accepted as an article, due to its promotional language and unreliable sourcing.
  • Using language like "renowned", "creating unique and captivating spaces" and "impeccable designs, attention to detail, and commitment to customer satisfaction" is not consistent with Wikipedia's required neutral point of view. Content must be worded with plain, factual language that does not attempt to influence a reader's emotions. Using subjective wording can be interpreted as promotion.
  • Using press releases as sources is unacceptable, as this is company-authored. We require sources to have no personal, political or financial interest in the subject being discussed. We also require sources to be reliable, meaning they have an established reputation for fact-checking and editorial oversight. This heavily favours mainstream news organizations, academic press, and reputable publishers of newspapers, magazines and books.
  • We also require significant coverage of a subject by sources. Brief mentions like inclusion in a list of award nominees or routine coverage of scheduled events is not acceptable.
The only way an article about this company would be accepted is if you can show that it has already acquired significant coverage from sources that are both reliable and independent of the company, and can write it in a coldly unemotional tone, as if it was being described by a disinterested third party. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 17:26, 16 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of User:DrEricss/sandbox

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on User:DrEricss/sandbox, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Dear Flux55 Why you want a speedy deletion of this page, mostly CEOs are listed on the Wikipedia why not mine?
i need an explanation DrEricss (talk) 04:49, 6 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
That's pointless because of Wikipedia:WAX, which states that an article should not be kept due to similar articlrs existing. Additionally, the article is blatantly promoting the CEO, mentioning his achievements and awards without secondary sources backing them up (Note: interviews aren't secondary sources) ''Flux55'' (talk) 04:56, 6 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
bill gates wikipedia page is also pointless can you please delete that one DrEricss (talk) 05:00, 6 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
I never stated that all CEO articles should be deleted. I only stated that CEO-related articles are rare due to them needing reliable sources documenting them. ''Flux55'' (talk) 05:02, 6 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
Also, where did you get the idea that mostly CEOs are listed on Wikipedia? Business-related articles make up a minority of the complete site, let alone independent articles on CEOs. ''Flux55'' (talk) 04:59, 6 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
maybe i am wrong while creating the article but can you please share few points so i can fix it, instead of deletion DrEricss (talk) 05:01, 6 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
You clearly have a conflict of interest, admitting it here. ''Flux55'' (talk) 05:07, 6 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
