Guyver
editJust saying "the manga" isn't bringing in a source. Proper sourcing would be <ref>vol. 2, chap 2</ref> or <ref>issue 14</ref>. Ian.thomson (talk) 18:37, 28 January 2010 (UTC)
- I see your point, but using that line of logic, the whole article would need to be blanked or every line would have to have a reference link. Drag-5 (talk) 01:09, 29 January 2010 (UTC)
The file File:Rodcolours.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Speedy deletion nomination of Acid Flip
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Acid Flip requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from giantbomb.com/acid-flip/3030-72118. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. - Hi - just a more personal note to add to the automated message above - basically, you can't copy and paste from other websites, and even if you were to put this into your own words, the source you copied if from is user-generated content and so would not count as a reliable source. If you can find independent, secondary sources about this subject - perhaps reviews in gaming magazines or similar - it might be possible to write an article about it, but you would have to do that in your own words, and cite the sources. Thanks GirthSummit (blether) 17:53, 5 August 2019 (UTC)
- I am the developer of this game and I wrote that content. I am also the primary source since I made the game. There is not other source that is more credible than the person who made it. Drag-5 (talk) 17:55, 5 August 2019 (UTC)
- It doesn't matter whether or not you wrote the content - which we can't establish here - the copyright appears to be owned by CBS Interactive Inc. Presumably when you submitted the content to their website there was a note that you cede all rights to the wording to them (or something along those lines). It's used on their website, so we can't use it - please read through the links above.
- With regard to your connection to the subject, that's all the more reason why you shouldn't be writing about it - see WP:COI. You are strongly discouraged from writing about any subject you have a connection with, and if you insist on doing so you need to make a COI declaration on your userpage, and put articles through the WP:AfC process rather than editing them directly. GirthSummit (blether) 19:02, 5 August 2019 (UTC)
- I see. Best just to delete it then. nobody is going to write the article for me. I just wanted to ensure there was an article about it because apparently that is how youtube labels your game as the game it is, rather than team fortress or something else. I'm not trying to unfairly promote my game via wikipedia, just trying to make sure the correct information is available. also, I cannot argue with what you have said. my hands are tied. Unless I can put a barebones basic information of what the game is, then request a fact check with my conflict of interest? Drag-5 (talk) 19:13, 5 August 2019 (UTC)
- I see it's now been deleted for the copyvio. So, you've got two options. You could write a draft yourself, provided you declare your COI on your userpage and put the draft through the WP:AfC process - that is permitted, since a neutral editor will check over your article before it's published. Alternatively, you could put a note on Requested articles - there are a lot of editors with an interest in computer games, someone might be interested in writing it. So long as it is discussed in significant depth in multiple independent, secondary references, there should be enough to put an article together. Ping me if you go down the AfC route and I'll review it for you. Cheers GirthSummit (blether) 19:20, 5 August 2019 (UTC)

The article Guyver: The Bioboosted Armor has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
No reliable secondary sources attest to the notability of this, yet another anime spinoff. Sourcing consists of a primary Funimation link (don't click on it), and another one, an ANN page about a subject that doesn't even mention the subject, and a dead link to a forum. Existence does not equate to notability.

- Would have been nice if that was made clear earlier. 2A00:23C5:8E81:9201:927:FF14:D991:99D (talk) 01:09, 25 September 2023 (UTC)
