Non-free rationale for File:Christmas Saves The Year.jpg
editThanks for uploading or contributing to File:Christmas Saves The Year.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 23:37, 15 December 2020 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:Christmas Saves The Year.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:Christmas Saves The Year.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 18:27, 16 December 2020 (UTC)
2021 Boulder shooting source question
editHi - I'm struggling to find the section of this source that supports the claim that there was a separate unrelated shooting in another part of Boulder. The 2021 Boulder shooting article's edit history is too convoluted to figure this out without wasting time, but I think you were the one that added that part of the article and was just wondering if you could point me to the text I should be looking for - because of the news coverage of this event, I'm not able to find coverage of an unrelated incident because the mass shooting is obviously overshadowing any results for such a query. If you weren't the one that added that, please ignore this! Thanks, Cran32 (talk | contributions) 02:54, 23 March 2021 (UTC).
- Hey, no problem. I was the one who added that, and I'm trying to find the section in that article. There definitely was something. I'll track it down. Driftybiscuit (talk)
- The section appears to have been edited out in the source. You can see the original material here: https://web.archive.org/web/20210323010145/https://www.nytimes.com/live/2021/03/22/us/boulder-colorado-shooting/the-shots-are-getting-closer-witnesses-recounted-moments-of-terror-inside-and-outside-the-store where it says "The Boulder Police Department also sent out an emergency alert for another area of town, asking residents there to shelter in place while they investigated a report of an “armed, dangerous individual.”" They cite a tweet from Boulder Police Department: https://twitter.com/boulderpolice/status/1374136465358209027. However this tweet doesn't really corroborate it, which might be why the removed the claim. I have heard it from other sources though. I will see if I can dig something else up. Driftybiscuit (talk)
