editWelcome!
Hello EMU CPA, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- Tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!
I would also encourage specifically reading the Wikipedia:Verifiability policy. Edits that cite sources are much more valuable. You of course may know the information is true, but citing a reliable source demonstrates it. Have a great day. - Taxman Talk 13:47, 5 January 2006 (UTC)

I just discovered
editthe wikipedians by alma mater [or something] and here is my problem which I am looking for some insights from you about. I graduated from EMU in 1972, returned to get a teacher's cert a couple years later and then got involved in a Master's program perhaps 5 years after that. I finished the program [Historic Preservation] in the time alloted, but did not apply for the degree. I was going through a divorce and loosing my job at the time and just missed it. When I went back and said "whooops" several years later I was told "too bad". I've gone back probably 4 times since then, but to no avail. So . . ...... should I list myself as an EMU alum or not? I mean, do they want me to? Do I want to? Do you want me to? Life can get complicated. Carptrash 06:44, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
