Orphaned non-free image (Image:Blonderingo (2).jpg)

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Blonderingo (2).jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 15:31, 16 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:You's Latest.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:You's Latest.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 03:10, 12 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Articles for deletion nomination of Jetki

edit

I have nominated Jetki, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jetki. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Unreferenced BLPs

edit

Hello Eastend! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 350 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Akkin Jet - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Heart Bazaar

edit

Hi, you can sign and date your comments automatically using four tildes ~~~~. I'm not sure why you made the comment about flaming, I always try to respond politely and positively to all but the most offensive comments on my talk page, and I don't remember posting here before, please see this.

  1. The article did not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts or show that it meets the music notability guidelines. The one reference was to a site related to a member of the group. If the band is important, it should be possible to have proper references. Please follow the link if you are not sure what counts as a reliable independent source.
  2. You are right to assume I know nothing about the group. The point of having real references is that it should be obvious to anyone why this band is notable, Wikipedia is for the general public, not experts in Japanese rock, and readers can't be expected to do their own research.
  3. Note that the article doesn't even suggest notability. All we know is that they released some records, all of which are out of print.
  4. I do not know if the universe is better because of the deletion of this this article, but I doubt that it's significantly worse

I've posted the deleted text here so you can work on it if you wish. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 07:16, 14 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Hakka (group)

edit

The article Hakka (group) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not a notable band as required by WP:BAND and WP:GNG.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Nagano

edit

Cromulent edit summary! Aha, I get it now. (If you look at your earlier edit, you'll see that a comma had crept in, fatally.)

Well, the article on this late photographer is better than it was just one week ago. But it's still bad. Nagano merits something much better. Unfortunately most of the books in English that look as if they might say something useful turn out instead to be obsessed with a small number of other photographers, and I'm too lazy/busy/incompetent to want to tackle much in Japanese. Care to do a bit more work on the article? If you did, I might join you.... Hoary (talk) 00:31, 15 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
