Titles in citations
editHi, good work expanding bare URLs, etc. to citations. Please note that titles in citations should be adapted to Wikipedia's typographic style: they are like quotations, see Wikipedia:Manual of Style#Typographic conformity. So we don't retain all-caps, for example. Peter coxhead (talk) 11:22, 3 August 2017 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Alex Muriu
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Alex Muriu, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Edwardx (talk) 00:52, 9 January 2018 (UTC)
Domain reselling pages
editWhen you make edits like this [1] please check that the source is actually working and not taken over by a domain reselling page or similar. If it is, you can often find an archived version at the Internet Archive, WebCite or Archive.is. See my edit following yours for example. Thryduulf (talk) 01:21, 12 January 2018 (UTC)
TheFamousPeople.com as a source
editHi Ecangola. I noticed that you recently used thefamouspeople.com as a source for biographical information in Clements High School. editHello, I'm Jmertel23. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to Medic Mobile have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. Jmertel23 (talk) 22:29, 14 January 2020 (UTC)
- Actually, my apologies - I see now that you did not add the link, you simply formatted it. So you can ignore my note above. Sorry about that! I had since removed it though, as there are not supposed to be external links inline within an article. Again, sorry I misread the edit! Jmertel23 (talk) 22:31, 14 January 2020 (UTC)

LA Times refs
editHi Ecangola. I noticed that when you have added references from the LA Times to the California Lutheran University article, the author names have been set to "Facebook", "Twitter", "Email", etc., instead of the actual names. I fixed the first batch you entered yesterday, but you've added more with the same problem. I assume this problem is a shortcoming in an automated tool, so please verify that the names are correct before saving. Indyguy (talk) 15:41, 8 November 2020 (UTC)

Some remarks in regards to an edit
editI came across your edits on the page Simian Ghost, and have nothing much to comment on, but this edit is an exception. Please do not remove full links from references, even if they redirect somewhere else. The link may currently be dead, and archives of the page fail to load fully, but the link should still be there so people can know that something used be there in the first place (see WP:KDL). Also, despite top level domains in Sweden ending in .se, the language code for Swedish is sv (the language code se belongs to Northern Sami, if you're curious). Preview – Consolidate – Summarize
editHello, and thank you for your contributions. Below are a few editing suggestions to make it easier for you and others to collaborate on the encyclopedia. Please preview, consolidate, and summarize your edits:
- Try to consolidate your edits, at least at the section level, to avoid cluttering the page's edit history; this makes it easier for your fellow editors to understand your intentions, and makes it easier for those monitoring activity on the article.
- The show preview button (beside the "publish changes" button) is helpful for this; use it to view your changes incrementally before finally saving the page once you're satisfied with your edits.
- Please remember to explain each edit with an edit summary (box above the "publish changes" button).
Thanks in advance for considering these suggestions. Eric talk 11:49, 28 June 2023 (UTC)

editHello Ecangola!
- The New Pages Patrol is currently struggling to keep up with the influx of new articles needing review. We could use a few extra hands to help.
- We think that someone with your activity and experience is very likely to meet the guidelines for granting.
- Reviewing/patrolling a page doesn't take much time, but it requires a strong understanding of Wikipedia’s CSD policy and notability guidelines.
- Kindly read the tutorial before making your decision, and feel free to post on the project talk page with questions.
- If patrolling new pages is something you'd be willing to help out with, please consider applying here.
Thank you for your consideration. We hope to see you around!

The value of CS1 errors
editThanks for cleaning up citations, but please don't merely mask errors as you did with this edit. The title of the journal article is not "The Pakistan Review", that's the name of the journal. The article title (and author, issue number, and page number) is important for anyone trying to retrieve the source to verify it or squeeze more content out of it. Rather than hiding the error, you could contact Google Books and ask them for the bibliographic information related to their snippet (something that is time consuming but works surprisingly often), or wait until next month when I'll be visiting a library where I can consult a physical copy of the source and obtain the missing info. --Worldbruce (talk) 18:33, 19 October 2023 (UTC)

- In 1995, as minister of education, Rangsitpol laid out his plans for educational reform in Thailand. The goal of education reform is to realize the potential of Thai people to develop themselves for the better quality of life and to develop the nation for peaceful co-existence in the world community. - The reform was considered a landmark movement after nearly 100 years of education under the previous system.[2]

Changes to citations
editEcangola,
I would like to echo some of the other comments on your talk page. I just reverted your edits to Days of Future Passed. The edits altered several of the citations and moved one citation as raw text to the top of the article page. Although I haven't reverted them (yet), I am also unhappy with your edits to several other pages that I have worked on. You often change citations to remove the author's name or chop up the author or publication name as you make your edits. I worry this would make it harder to find the reference in the future if it is no longer hosted online. Also you often change citations to the citeweb template when a cite journal template might be more appropriate. In addition, in implementing wp:namedrefs, you often use a number instead of the author's name or another more relevant identifier, in contrast to the policy guidance. Finally, I wish you would consider using the preview function to combine multiple edits into a single edit, since you generally make several edits at once to a single page. I kindly ask that you consider taking more care and consideration of the result when you make edits to pages. Thank you. Alcuin (talk) 13:59, 17 February 2024 (UTC)

The Satanic Temple references
editHi there. You made a few edits to The Satanic Temple that were helpful by putting them into citation format. Exmple -- https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=The_Satanic_Temple&diff=next&oldid=1218533123 However, you then left out some data, such as author name and news organization. If you don't mind, would you please put that info back in? ProfGray (talk) 13:02, 12 April 2024 (UTC)

Dead links
editThere is no point in formatting a link which leads to a "domain for sale" page, as you did here. Either just leave it alone, or tag it as a dead link, or, better, find an archived copy of the sourcce and upgrade the reference (I've just done so). Please always check links before formatting them. Thanks. PamD 10:11, 22 April 2024 (UTC)
Why delete author & Publication date in article?
editIn Feb you deleted author & publication date from several citations in article Chemical dumps in ocean off Southern California. The footnotes now no longer show the author or publication date. Why would you do that? Better would be to use "cite news" rather than "cite web". Noleander (talk) 14:48, 11 May 2024 (UTC)
- ... and even "cite web" has fields for publisher, author & date. It is very hard to re-add that information to the citations. Noleander (talk) 14:53, 11 May 2024 (UTC)

- Are you running a bot? Please look into running the bot in a way that does not delete author, publication date, or publisher. You are deleting lots of important information that readers will want to see IN THE FOOTNOTE (without clicking the URL). Noleander (talk) 14:59, 11 May 2024 (UTC)
- I don’t use a bot. I just click on the "convert" button when offered and trusted the results so far with some manual improvements here and there. The loss of information in the process, such as the name of the publisher, was not intentional. In the future, I will enter more information manually, as the automatic conversion isn't trustworthy, obviously.--Ecangola (talk) 09:46, 13 May 2024 (UTC)

Inquiry to relevant reference for Kamala Harris
editHello, User: Ecangola,
- Regarding the CNN interview, User:Goodtiming8871 created a new summary of Kamala Harris’ CNN interview yesterday with several references. And there is a lot more detail added today on Kamala Harris’s policies. However, it seems that the details have been added in a way that makes it almost impossible to check each item individually. For the additional items you've contributed to, could you please add references to each item individually or remove any that aren't referenced? Goodtiming8871 (talk) 11:49, 5 September 2024 (UTC)

edit"Asked about border security, she cited her support for the bipartisan bill H.R. 2, or the "Secure the Border Act", that was scuttled in the Senate after republicans opposed it, and which would have drastically restricted the asylum process, required United States employers to verify that employees were not undocumented under penalty of prison, built a border wall, defunded nonprofits that provide services to undocumented immigrants, and allowed the DHS to close the border entirely if it determines doing so is necessary."
