 Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Happy editing! Cheers, 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 09:52, 18 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Your user page may not meet Wikipedia's user page guidelines. It is intended for basic information about yourself, your interests and goals as they relate to editing Wikipedia, as well as disclosures of conflicts of interest and paid editing. Although a lot of freedom is allowed in personalizing your user page, it is not:

The user page guidelines have additional information on what is and what is not considered acceptable content. Please use your user sandbox or the draft article space to practice editing or to create new articles. Thank you. Helpful Raccoon (talk) 20:02, 7 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi Edit the error! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Thank you. Belbury (talk) 13:03, 19 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello! I'm Belbury. Your recent edit(s) to the page Culture of the United Kingdom appear to have added incorrect information, so they have been reverted for now. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite a reliable source or discuss your change on the article's talk page. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. There's no Wikipedia article for British Dictionary, and the uppercased term has no special meaning in this context. I've linked to dictionary instead. Belbury (talk) 13:26, 19 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi, are you able to read these talk page messages? Belbury (talk) 13:48, 19 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to Zeus. Your edits do not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use your sandbox. Thank you. NebY (talk) 13:21, 21 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Please stop. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Zeus, you may be blocked from editing. This section describes Hesiod's account. As our citation of both Hard and Hesiod makes clear, Hesiod says Mount Aegaeon Αἰγαίῳ ἐν ὄρει πεπυκασμένῳ ὑλήεντι not Mount Ida. NebY (talk) 15:25, 21 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved content from Augustan literature into Culture of the United Kingdom. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content (here or elsewhere), Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Culture of the United Kingdom, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Enlightenment, Romantic and The Mistake. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
