Per WP:Lead, the leads of our articles are meant to summarize content that is in lower in the the article. They are not meant for content not covered lower in the article or content that should be covered lower instead. And per WP:Refers, unless the article is about the word, the lead sentence should not be about the term. We don't go into extensive etymology material in the lead of our articles. Even with our word articles, we include a "Etymology" or "Definitions" section below for most of the material. Also, the Sex article solely about biology.
