Draftification of old articles
editHey! WP:DRAFTIFY states not to draftify any articles older than 90 days old without consensus (see 2d; this was discussed at VPP, so it's solid policy). I'm not sure whether that's a hard cutoff or not, but you recently draftified Juan de Valladolid, which was over 18 years old – definitely too old to be draftifying it. If you want to proceed, you should take the article to AFD, and suggest draftification in your nomination. Cheers! Skarmory (talk • contribs) 00:45, 24 May 2023 (UTC)
- I just came here to say the same thing (thanks for catching this, Skarmory). Draftification is for recently created articles by inexperienced editors. Long-standing articles should either be improved, be tagged, identifying problems, or you can pursue one of Wikipedia's deletion processes.
- If you have questions about this, please bring them to the Teahouse. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 00:48, 24 May 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you for the explanation. My apologies for the mistake. EdmHopLover1995 (talk) 00:50, 24 May 2023 (UTC)
- My apologies, I will search for sources instead to improve. EdmHopLover1995 (talk) 00:48, 24 May 2023 (UTC)
- On the other hand, it was appropriate to draftify Draft:Splits of the Roman Empire. It's best to use User:Evad37/MoveToDraft as this script will post a message to the page creator, alerting them that the page has been moved to Draft space. Thanks. Liz Read! Talk! 00:52, 24 May 2023 (UTC)
- It is now at AFD after someone else draftified it; feel free to chip in as you see fit. I proposed draftification as that is possible through AFD. Skarmory (talk • contribs) 07:13, 25 May 2023 (UTC)
Derek Webster article
editAny reason to draft an article about actor from Mayor of Kingstown and with over 100 credits? There are sources specifically saying that he is a veteran actor and describing his roles. What sources are else needed? How many more paragraphs should be added for it to be ready? Actor meets NACTOR - numerous significant roles, this is demonstrated in article. I am a bit tired about Wikipedia bureaucracy by now. Kirill C1 (talk) 16:35, 18 June 2023 (UTC)

Consider switching to the new MoveToDraft script
editHi, please consider switching to the new Move To Draft script. It is fork of the script that you are using, but has some bug fixes, important warnings, and some feature enhancements. Happy editing! -MPGuy2824 (talk) 05:42, 30 August 2023 (UTC)
