Asian 10,000 Challenge invite
editHi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 01:55, 20 October 2016 (UTC)

Article titles & accusation of ethnic cleansing
editDifferent language Wikipedias use different names for places. The English language Wikipedia follows the guideline at WP:COMMONNAME. I find your suggestion of ethnic cleansing extremely offensive. Doug Weller talk 09:08, 4 December 2017 (UTC)
well, sir, I read and understood WP:COMMONNAME . but Adam's peak is not a common name for "Sri Pada" mountain. offensive for whom? wiki pedia is not place to name places for how you want it. you should respect the majority of Sri Lankans. the name "Sri Pada" written and used in more than 2500 years of documented history. you couldnt change names just because of English were ruled the country for less than 133 years (1815-1948).
sorry please mention this is in the article. this is not the suitable place to discuss this matter. Eeriyaka (talk) 10:08, 4 December 2017 (UTC)
- It is the place to discuss your behavior however. Please read WP:AGF. Doug Weller talk 11:33, 4 December 2017 (UTC)
yep please read WP:AGF. never say "your behavior" to your fellow wikipedia editors when they discuss bad quality articles. I come here to contribute to quality articles. I have given my opinion in good faith based on facts that documented. it's a known fact that the name of that article doesn't right. Eeriyaka (talk) 12:20, 4 December 2017 (UTC)

Request reason:
Hi-I joined to Wiki in 2006, the original account is Rajithcalwis which comes with my real name. due to security issue after some threatening emails, due to creating the Sri Lanka Army website. I had to create this other account Eariyaka in 2008. I am loyal wiki editor I never vandalised or sockpuppet/meatpuppet or never used this two accounts to comment/discuss the same topic. please check my history. On 3rd of July 2011, I was still new to Wiki policies and I clicked on "appreciation" button just wanted to see how it works, that given barnstar to my own account. that is not intentional. I removed it later I realized my mistakes. to be honest, I didn't know I had to declare my both accounts. just now I realized I can provide reasoning by editing the talk page. also, I created Eariyaka1 to addressed the issue without knowing it and Created Raith77 thought to start fresh. I am still learning in the process of wiki policies. never intended to create multiple accounts. I understand my wrongdoing having two accounts now actually 4. I am remorseful for my actions and mistakes. please give me a chance to come back to Wiki, so I can contribute to wiki articles. I promise I will declare my both Rajithcalwis and Eariyaka accounts on my user page. appreciate your advice on this issue. @ErIYakA 10:13, 2 February 2018 (UTC))

Request reason:
I have been blocked due to using multiple accounts, I admitted it. It was my lack of understanding of Wiki Policies. I was pardoned and allowed to use another account, but however, I lost the account details and I never used it. Since this is my original account I used years and years is it possible to unlock this account. I assure the community that I will contribute to Wiki according to guidelines. Thank you and appreciated.
Decline reason:
As noted, you will need to email the Arbitration Committee to deal with this matter. 331dot (talk) 10:12, 22 December 2019 (UTC)
