On finding overwritten files
editGreetings, do you know of a way to detect files with multiple non-similar versions in the history? I have User:Jo-Jo Eumerus/splitfiles but that's a list of all files with more than one version, too large for someone to process manually. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk) 15:59, 17 June 2023 (UTC)
Template:Media by uploader
editI was checking Wikipedia:Database reports/Transclusions of non-existent templates and noticed your page in Special:WhatLinksHere/Template:Media by uploader and three others. could you put
// <nowiki>
at the top and
// </nowiki>
at the bottom of your script page to keep it out of Special:WhatLinksHere/Template:Media by uploader? if the nowiki tags are in javascript comments it won't impact the functionality of the script. or, alternatively, removing the four non-existing templates (Template:Media by uploader, Template:NFUR not needed, Template:No-date, and Template:Presumed self) from the list of tagsImageTagFavorite
which would also fix it. thank you. Frietjes (talk) 21:15, 13 July 2023 (UTC)
Hello. Please explain what you were guided by when placing a template on this file. — Ирука13 15:56, 11 August 2023 (UTC)

Creation of new category
editCreation of new category If we look at Category:Companies by stock market index, most of the world's major indices are listed, except for the DAX. Could you add this? 92.71.60.61 (talk) 08:58, 17 November 2023 (UTC)
- And you can't create a category for that exchange yourself because? ShakespeareFan00 (talk) 09:13, 17 November 2023 (UTC)
- It's simply because IP users can't create them, that's all. If you were to set it up, I'd be happy to populate the companies. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.71.60.61 (talk) 09:18, 17 November 2023 (UTC)
- Category:Companies in the DAX index ShakespeareFan00 (talk) 09:25, 17 November 2023 (UTC)
- Are there other indices not listed? I am not seeing a category for an index like BSE Sensex, or Nifty listed companies from India, to give an example. ShakespeareFan00 (talk) 09:25, 17 November 2023 (UTC)
- Ah, that is excellent. Thank you very much indeed. There are a handful of others, namely OMX Stockholm 30, S&P/ASX 200, KOSPI and Nikkei 225, those are the biggest ones.

- The IP has spammed this message to dozens of user talk pages, see also Talk:FTSE 100 Index#Creation of new category which seems to be the original thread. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 10:42, 17 November 2023 (UTC)
- Progress report - India has now been covered. The two biggest unrepresented indices at this point are KOSPI 200 and Nikkei 225. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.71.60.61 (talk) 14:15, 20 November 2023 (UTC)
Do you remember why you labeled it non-free? Wikiacc (¶) 02:23, 21 November 2023 (UTC)
- Licensing conflict , This had a non-free use rationale but a PD license. I went with what was the most cautious option, but based on the metadata, I can't currently see why the original license would not now apply. I had also at some point marked this with {{NFUR not needed}}. ShakespeareFan00 (talk) 08:51, 21 November 2023 (UTC)

We are both human
editFYI, your recent edit on Talk:Desmodromic valve broke Izaakb's second and third signatures by removing the leading angle brackets for font. I came to the page for another error, and fixed that and everything else. Was surprised to find that the brackets issue had just occurred and by you, so thought I'd let you know. Best wishes!
