Russia Today
editHi, I've noticed that you've added some {{cn}} tags in a number of articles where RT was used as a source. Could you explain why have you done that? Keep in mind that according to our WP:RS guideline "Whether a specific news story is reliable for a specific fact or statement in a Wikipedia article will be assessed on a case-by-case basis". Have a good day. Mohamed CJ (talk) 10:01, 6 March 2014 (UTC)
- There were a concern that journalistic items, should be dual sourced (although that's not offical policy as such). If you feel the RT articles accurately support the claims being made, (Or if the claims are supported by a second source), I've got no objection to the tags being removed. ShakespeareFan00 (talk) 12:35, 6 March 2014 (UTC)
- Reverted these edits, given that WP:RS make no mention of dual sourcing on news media. ShakespeareFan00 (talk) 12:49, 6 March 2014 (UTC)
- If I did not feel the RT sources were accurate or reliable, I wouldn't have used them in the first place (I'm the main contributor to several articles you edited, some of which are Good Articles). I've read about the recent RT scandal regarding coverage of news in Ukraine, but it is important to remember that the reliability of news sources should be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. There had been a previous attempt to "axe" The Daily Mail, which many find unreliable, but consensus is to evaluate it on a case-by-case basis (see this discussion for example). Thanks for the prompt reply and the self reverts :) Mohamed CJ (talk) 12:57, 6 March 2014 (UTC)
Lord Laitinen's Images
editHello, my name is Lord Laitinen. I wanted to ask you, why my photos were made a candidate to be copied to Wikimedia Commons? I do not know any purpose for these images, except for decorating my user page. I am sure there are other photos of old ladies and happy families out there, correct? If it was not you who made them a candidate, please refer me to those who did. Reply on my talk page, if you would.Lord Laitinen (talk) 06:17, 14 March 2014 (UTC)

editI think this was taken ages ago and was used on the Paris Metro while they were making improvements that was the slogan? I agree with you it should be deleted, if you could delete it for me that would be helpful I am not an admin nor want to be so I can't delete it but should be deleted. Si Trew (talk) 14:45, 19 March 2014 (UTC)
- It was actually in the Lorraine region and I translated the article. But I still think it should go. If not fair use, and so on, it should go, the article is good enough without it (not brilliant but doesn't need it). Si Trew (talk) 14:58, 19 March 2014 (UTC)

editI am the source of the file, along with over 90% of the other conference maps in the IHSAA series, all created form a blank map of Indiana's counties I made over 5 years ago. But I have been unable to correct the problem. Rhatsa26X (talk) 19:23, 30 May 2014 (CDT)

editHello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Hull and Selby Railway may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s and 1 "{}"s likely mistaking one for another. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

I noticed you tagged image for deletion for Akram Awan. All images are freely available on internet and he is a public figure. So there is no claim by anybody. Rsami (talk) 06:48, 5 August 2014 (UTC)
