Not a problem Ekpene. Would you be interested in writing more articles for us? About sculptures or about African topics or other biographies? We would be happy to have your support!Calaka (talk) 00:50, 5 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Guy Hersant

edit

The article Guy Hersant has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Thanks for your welcoming Calaka

I added references to the article on Guy Hersant, and consequently removed the warning. I hope this is the correct way. I would like to contribute more to articles related to Africa, but I fear to be very busy soon without much chance to involve more in Wiki. On the other hand, I am French and sometimes English is a bit laborious... By the way, I would be happy if some experts (I mean native speakers could correct the English in the papers I recently initiated. Ekpene (talk) 14:30, 16 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hey there Ekpene. I think the article is fine but maybe you should ask Immunize whether he thinks it is OK now because he was the person who placed up the tag. No worries about the being busy part. However it suits you. :) Kind regards.Calaka (talk) 09:02, 17 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
I don't think you have to worry about deletion. I'm not so sure the article should have been proposed for deletion in the first place. It just needed some tidying up. Regards, P. D. Cook Talk to me! 12:12, 22 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Greetings. I made a few changes to this article, as it did not conform to WP standards. I recommend reviewing WP:MOS and WP:RS, and it wouldn't hurt to be sure you understand WP:Writing your first article. Also, the article is written in a somewhat unusual tone (uses present tense for past events). Perhaps this is a translation issue. If you need any help or have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. Regards, P. D. Cook Talk to me! 00:14, 18 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Alliance française, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Saint George's (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

I can see that you are a relatively new editor, but you need to know that Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously. You must not copy and paste text from sources you find on the web into articles as you did in the article Tabu Osusa. I have removed the infringing text, but the material you copied is subject to copyright, as is almost everything on the web, and when creating or expanding articles, you should completely rewrite the information from the source using your own words.
