Please use edit summaries
editHi LizzieBabes419, please remember to use an edit summary when editing pages. It's considered good practice here at Wikipedia since it helps to explain why you've made the changes that you did and this will ultimately result in fewer reversions of your work. Thanks in advance. -Thibbs (talk) 13:05, 17 February 2014 (UTC)
Poseur
editI reverted your edit here because it is not a misspelling, it is an alternative spelling. Also, regarding your edit here, how do you know it was instant? Is that in the source? -- John Reaves 18:47, 19 February 2014 (UTC)
Sources
editHello, I'm Ponyo. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Jillian Murray, but you didn’t support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Wikipedia has a strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. --Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 04:48, 22 February 2015 (UTC)
- Again, when adding information to biography articles such as Phil Hayes (actor), it is necessary to include a reliable source for verification. Please ensure that you do so moving forward. Thank you, --Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 17:03, 17 March 2015 (UTC)
Detropia
editHi - On your recent edit to Detropia, you changed "utopia" to "dystopia", which might make sense looking at the circumstances depicted in the movie. However, I just added a quote from the filmmaker explaining how she actually did use the word "Utopia" because of the situation where the phrase "Auto Parts" was changed to "Utopia" on a storefront. Just wanted to let you know that this is why I changed your edit. Thanks KConWiki (talk) 02:21, 25 March 2015 (UTC)
Changing sourced text at Wichita Massacre
editYou changed "equally "vicious crimes" to "more common "vicious crimes". This may reflect your point of view, but the source says "equally" and for obvious reasons we should not changed sourced text even if we disagree with it. Dougweller (talk) 18:10, 24 April 2015 (UTC)

editHello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
I noticed your recent edit to Thunder River Rapids Ride does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.
Edit summary content is visible in:
Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary.
Not the first time you've been asked to use edit summaries. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 220 of ßorg 08:40, 21 July 2020 (UTC)

editHello. I wanted to let you know that your recent edit(s) to the Welcome to the Dollhouse plot summary have been removed because they added a significant amount of unnecessary detail. Please avoid excessive detail and high word counts when editing plot summaries/synopses. You may read the plot summary edit guides to learn more about contributing constructively to plot summaries/synopses. There are also specific guidelines for films, musicals, television episodes, anime/manga, novels and non-fiction books. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. DonIago (talk) 02:25, 2 August 2020 (UTC)

Hello, I'm Elizium23. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that you unlinked one or more redlinks. Often redlinks can be helpful, so we don't remove them just because they are red. They help improve Wikipedia by attracting editors to create needed articles.
In addition, clicking on the "What links here" special link (in the Wikipedia Toolbox at left) on a missing article shows how many—and which—articles depend on that article being created. This can help prioritize article creation. Redlinks are useful! Please only remove a redlink if you are pretty sure that it is to a non-notable topic and not likely ever to be created. Thanks! Do not "correct" valid Enhlish variants
editHello. In a recent edit to the page Cottage, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.
For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to another English-speaking country, such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, India, or Pakistan use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the original author of the article used.
In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk. Thank you. - Donald Albury 14:43, 19 January 2021 (UTC)

editHello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit(s) you made to Blue whale, did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. The article Venita Wolf has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Unsourced; subject doesn't appear to meet notability under WP:ACTOR or WP:GNG
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Muzilon (talk) 13:01, 2 March 2024 (UTC)
