Hey Nim, Thanks for changing your image slightly, Not gonna lie your photos are alot better than I expected! :), BTW Happy New Year :) –Davey2010 Merry Xmas / Happy New Year 08:41, 3 January 2016 (UTC)

I am in Singapore, I am sure you are keeping well. :) Me and my dad are car spotting in Singapore on holidays. My dad's favourite car is a Porsche 911 coupe in yellow, mated to a Steptronic Automatic gearbox. He likes the new version. He wants me to take a photo of sport cars --EurovisionNim (talk to me)(see my edits) 08:44, 3 January 2016 (UTC)
Is it nice there ?, I've always wanted to visit Sweden myself  , Oh wow are you enjoying it so far :), I'm not really a Porsche person - Much prefer Lambos haha, They have loads of sports cars in London and Dubai I think  , –Davey2010 Merry Xmas / Happy New Year 09:09, 3 January 2016 (UTC)
My dad is the expert if it comes to Porsches, I will talk to him  . My mother always went to Sweden when she was young so she knows a bit of Sweden. I think Dubai and Singapore are good hotspots for Singapore, I am heading to Marina Bay with my family so dad and i will hunt down exotic cars. --EurovisionNim (talk to me)(see my edits) 09:15, 3 January 2016 (UTC)
Actually I am in Singapore not Sweden @Davey2010: --EurovisionNim (talk to me)(see my edits) 10:29, 3 January 2016 (UTC)
Haha I bet he's the "Porsche Encyclopedia" when it comes to 'em!  , Good luck :) –Davey2010 Merry Xmas / Happy New Year 15:39, 3 January 2016 (UTC)
I spoke to my dad, and he had a laugh. However he is into the German model cars. Lamborghini is an Italian model. I am into German cars especially Mercedes-Benz. My first car is hopefully a Ford Focus, hopefully the new version. @Davey2010: could you tell me what was your first car please. I am 16 turning 17 on February 5 so it would be a good opportunity to learn to drive. --EurovisionNim (talk to me)(see my edits) 00:50, 4 January 2016 (UTC)
Mercs are my 3rd faves after Lambos & BMWs :), Well I'm in my 20's and still haven't drove, Got my provisional but to pass it all isn't cheap and atm I'm anything but a millionaire so I'm afraid I can't help :(, If this helps tho I would simply buy a secondhand £200-£200 car - Probably something like this or this but obviously if I has alot more money then I probably would get something in the £400 range ..... I've just realized this is probably all useless to you anyway  , –Davey2010 Merry Xmas / Happy New Year 01:15, 4 January 2016 (UTC)
In England, are most cars automatic or manual? --EurovisionNim (talk to me)(see my edits) 01:16, 4 January 2016 (UTC)
Most cars are Manual so If you drive shift then great but if you'd rather like me be lazy I would reccomend Automatic  . –Davey2010 Merry Xmas / Happy New Year 01:19, 4 January 2016 (UTC)
My licence condition only allows me to drive automatic cars --EurovisionNim (talk to me)(see my edits) 01:20, 4 January 2016 (UTC)
Ohhhh right, Well good luck with your driving test or whatever :) –Davey2010 Merry Xmas / Happy New Year 02:12, 4 January 2016 (UTC)

Singapore registration check

FYI, you can use this service to check the vehicle details for Singaporean cars. Just use any date for "Intended Transfer Date". I fixed up your Audi A7 files already. OSX (talkcontributions) 09:42, 11 January 2016 (UTC)

You just made my day, I am about to have dinner @OSX:. What are you doing now :D --EurovisionNim (talk to me)(see my edits) 11:09, 26 January 2016 (UTC)

Well I am glad that made you happy. Just before I started editing I was cleaning up my kitchen—it was messy from preparing my dinner. OSX (talkcontributions) 11:12, 26 January 2016 (UTC)
What did you have for dinner @OSX:. I am about to have dinner very soon. Lets hope it is pasta with white sauce and fish. --EurovisionNim (talk to me)(see my edits) 11:12, 26 January 2016 (UTC)
Nice. I made roast lamb with a pea, lemon and mint purée served with lettuce. I hope you enjoy yours :) OSX (talkcontributions) 11:56, 26 January 2016 (UTC)

Be careful :-)

I was patrolling some changes lists, and saw that you reverted an edit to Volkswagen using rollback and without leaving a description in the edit summary. Remember that using rollback without a description in the edit summary (except for reverts made to sandboxes, your own user space, etc) is allowed only if the edit is blatant vandalism - in this case, it was not. I do it occasionally on accident myself ;-) - just remember that if you mistakenly do it, leave a dummy edit; then you're good ;-). If you have any questions, please feel free to leave me a message. Happy Thursday, and happy editing! ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 03:57, 15 January 2016 (UTC)

Thanks, I hope you are well. Plus today is Friday in Australia, not Thursday :D --EurovisionNim (talk to me)(see my edits) 04:02, 15 January 2016 (UTC)
AWWW!!! I had a 50/50 chance of guessing what the right day was in your area! I guessed wrong again :-). No worries; like I said, I do it on accident sometimes as well. It's not a huge deal in my opinion, but there are editors who are very uptight about that (understandably so, and maybe rightfully so?). Just watching your back :-D ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 04:07, 15 January 2016 (UTC)

I'm on PST - So it's 8:13 PM (20:13) right now for me. Just ate dinner, relaxing and doing some wiki stuff. Good times - ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 04:14, 15 January 2016 (UTC)
Nice, what did you have for dinner, I am about to have lunch. My grandma is cooking me rice and chicken curry served with dahl and other vegetables. Whilst waiting for lunch, I am doing some Wiki stuff and watching some youtube :D --EurovisionNim (talk to me)(see my edits) 04:18, 15 January 2016 (UTC)
I baked a fresh Pacific Salmon with some white onion, lemon slices, and some light seasoning! Oh so good! You sound like a chill person; you should connect to the Wikipedia IRC network! There is a great group of chill editors like yourself who chat there and ask for live help, etc. - I think you'd fit right in and enjoy doing so (if you're like me). I'm active on it, and so are many other good editors. See you on there sometime soon, maybe? :-D ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 04:24, 15 January 2016 (UTC)
Also, you get live information about what's going on, what "the big thing" is happening on Wikipedia right now, and other awesome benefits (in my opinion, of course). Oh, and your lunch sounds awesome! Vegetables and rice is not only absolutely tasty, it's healthy. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 04:26, 15 January 2016 (UTC)
Yeah, it is indeed. I also have chicken curry and also some delicious fish with it. Indeed it is healthy. Have you tried any curry and can you tell me what your favourite curry is :) --EurovisionNim (talk to me)(see my edits) 04:31, 15 January 2016 (UTC)
HAHA, I've tried currie and I enjoyed it. But I'm by means no expert on currie; I couldn't tell you what it was. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 04:58, 15 January 2016 (UTC)

Volvo V40 Image

Hi, I saw that in December 2015 you replaced the lead image of the Volvo V40 with a picture of the car in its natural surroundings. However, I have reinstated the studio shot, because, in Wikipedia:WikiProject_Automobiles/Conventions#Images, it says the lead photo should be """against a simple and contrasting background. Such an image is always to be preferred over a lower-quality image, such as one that shows photoflash glare or a distracting background""". However, the picture that you added the article is useful for showing a later model year, so I included it in the article instead. Thanks for understanding. dllu (t,c) 01:40, 5 February 2016 (UTC)

Australian vehicle number plate editing

Hi there,

Your revision was undone because there is a directive under the WA Department of Transport not to issue 1F series see the newspaper article - http://www.watoday.com.au/wa-news/the-wa-department-of-transport-number-plates-deemed-too-rude-to-issue-20160222-gn076u.html

People in Western Australia have reported that they have seen 1GAD, 1GAE, 1GAF in the past few weeks so there won't be any 1FAA-1FZZ blocks as Transport Departments in Australia do skip some blocks for example in New South Wales they did not issue FAA-FNZ, IAA to IZZ for general series, Victoria for MAA-MZZ as it is reserved for the government and QA-QZ motorcycles.

Thanks.

Dashes

Hi Nim, with edit such as this, you have been writing year ranges with a regular dash "-", when they should actually be en dashes "–" which are a bit longer. This is covered by WP:MOSDASH. BRD

Hi EurovisionNim, You should read WP:BRD, (You were Bold, You were Reverted and now you need to Discuss it),
Please don't take this the wrong way but some of your image additions/changes aren't improvements to the previous ones, You need to make sure the images you're replacing are better which unfortunately with some of them they're not,
I would kindly suggest you discuss it on the talkpage or you could end up blocked,
Thanks & Happy editing :), –Davey2010Talk 12:33, 20 September 2016 (UTC)

@Davey2010:, Thanks for your advice. I was only following the guidelines that were laid out at WP:CARPIX, OSX, said to me I should always follow these guidelines if I decide to place images in the articles of the vehicles. In the Nissan President article, one of them has aftermarket rims, whereas the image i replaced it with had original hubcaps. Best --EurovisionNim (talk to me)(see my edits) 01:55, 21 September 2016 (UTC)
I personally believe CARPIX is useless however we're all different, As for the image well aftermarket rims have no effect on the quality of the image (Again I know this is a carpix thing but changing them over something so minor is a waste of time),
That aside you need to stop with messing up the image layouts as so far every layout you've gone with has been absolutely awful to the previous,
I know with certain pcs and mobiles the layout varies but what you think may look great is quite honestly horrible to everyone else (I mean that in the nicest possible way),
Please don't take this the wrong way but might I suggest you actually focus on editing the encycolpedia (ie fixing typos etc etc) instead of basically coming on here every day changing images that don't actually need changing ?,
Thanks and Happy editing, –Davey2010Talk 02:48, 21 September 2016 (UTC)
Davey2010, I have seen images that are of bad quality. Ok, my understanding is that the Encyclopedia uses really high quality images in the articles. My main intentions were that I go on my daily walk or trip, if I find anything that the Wikipedia needs, I will take a photograph to contribute them. This lies in with cars. I regularly make changes because, what I have noticed is that in the articles is just bunches of low quality images. My main objective is to ensure that the article is perfectly well maintained. I normally like to use galleries as it ensures that the images are in order. Best --EurovisionNim (talk to me)(see my edits) 03:01, 21 September 2016 (UTC)
I know but some images don't need changing that's all –Davey2010Talk 13:29, 21 September 2016 (UTC)

Davey2010, I think that incorrect wheels are an important factor to change a photo. After all, should we not be showing cars in original condition? If we prioritise a photo with aftermarket wheels, then why not one with extra body kits and custom paint? The images should (where possible) illustrate the vehicle as the manufacturer intended. There are an infinite number of possible modifications that could take place. Other than that, I agree with your premise the Nim needs to be very careful to ensure the new photos are better then the previous. This often is not the case.

However, at Nissan President, Nim's choice of photo is better in my view. It is of higher resolution and has correct wheels. The only downside are the window stickers which I'd be happy to edit out if you want.

Also, I'd be careful about dismissing WP:CARPIX. This is a guideline based on widespread WP:CARS community consensus, the content of which has been upheld and modified over the years. It is not one person's pet project. Just because it is not official WP policy does not make other consensus decisions worthless. OSX (talkcontributions) 03:40, 21 September 2016 (UTC)

OSX - I do agree with you - All images should be in their original condition however in all of the years I've been adding images myself I've never in my entire life thought about the rims and personally I don't believe it matters and I don't think anyone really cares either - As I said I whole heartedly agree they should be in original condititon but I don't really think it should matter inregards to the rims,
Inre to the President the problem is the vehicle front is barely shown at all - I wouldn't object to the image being in the article if there was more images but IMHO this image shouldn't be in the infobox as you can't really see the front (You can more or less make out but you can't see it as a whole) and in the other image you can't really see the rims either,
Apologies for the wording of this .... but I've never seen anyone link to a wikiproject "consensus" in all of the 3 years I've been here, I'm not trying to dismiss it I'm really not but it's not a guideline and it's not even an essay (Even having it as an essay would probably work better than it being on a WikiProject),
Problem is this whole discussion boils down to rims but looking at "Opel Atra G" on Google barely any cars use the legit rims and even looking outside my house right now I don't think any of the cars have the legit rims at all, I'm not saying we should have images where car rims look like this but if they more or less less look legit then it shouldn't matter,
To me (and I know I'm a minority on this) but to me we should be focusing on the image quality as well as the overall quality of the vehicle - not the rims (yes they're important but to me they're not that important as such),
Thanks, –Davey2010Talk 13:29, 21 September 2016 (UTC)
OSX, yes please could you kindly do that for us :). Also make edits like cropping if possible mate. --EurovisionNim (talk to me)(see my edits) 03:45, 21 September 2016 (UTC)

New deal for page patrollers

Hi EurovisionNim,

In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.

Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.

Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:29, 13 November 2016 (UTC)

ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!

Hello, EurovisionNim. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)

I'm A REAL Newbie, And I Have What Is Probably A Very Silly Question Which Has A Very Obvious Answer!

LOL....long subject-line, I know. Hello EurovisionNim. So, this is my silly question...and, I will note, I have looked at several tutorials and this specific issue of mine isn't directly addressed. How do I, while editing in either format offered (and I do seem to prefer the Visual Editing format), preserve already-existing links and citations? I need to know which physical tools I need to use while re-working a sentence which contains one or both of these. I'm a quick learner but I need this to almost be as if I am sitting in an office, learning a new job, and someone tangibly points me to the way to do something specific. Each time I ask the question generally or look at a tutorial, it seems I'm being told how to create a new link/citation...or is this, in fact the way I preserve existing ones too? Can you help me on this? I would so appreciate. Thank you. Ahiroy (talk) 12:10, 3 December 2016 (UTC)

Hi EurovisionNim, I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year,

Thanks for all your help on the 'pedia!

Davey2010, thanks for your message. Look; I forgot to tell you, but in September, I got a girlfriend after taking her to my school dinner dance. I managed to get my first kiss when I went to the movies with her, holding hands. Her friend was also at the movies with us. Anyway, I took her to my school quiz night hosted by my friend and she loved it!! Next year, i'm taking her to my school ball --EurovisionNim (talk to me)(see my edits) 03:07, 22 December 2016 (UTC)

Ferrari Mondial

Hello! I see you did some edits to Ferrari Mondial page. The new picture of the Mondial t cabriolet shows a car with aftermarket chrome wheels. Could we put the earlier pic back? That car is all original. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Buzzm (talkcontribs) 18:52, 23 December 2016 (UTC)

Done All fixed up :) --EurovisionNim (talk to me)(see my edits) 09:05, 25 December 2016 (UTC)

Ferrari Mondial

Good afternoon. I see you changed the Mondial t cabriolet picture. That car also is non-standard as it is sporting yellow Scuderia Ferrari badges on the front fenders. The Mondial was not badged that way at the factory. Also, in general it is best to avoid license plates where possible and this one isn't even photoshopped. Could I ask you again to put the old one back? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Buzzm (talkcontribs) 03:57, 26 December 2016 (UTC)

Not done Please see this deletion request – the image has already been deleted so I can't place it back. I am very sorry mate --EurovisionNim (talk to me)(see my edits) 04:00, 26 December 2016 (UTC)

Not a problem mate. I checked Changomo's deletion request and it's not on there; didn't think it was. I will just switch back the old name. ____ — Preceding unsigned comment added by Buzzm (talkcontribs) 04:18, 28 December 2016 (UTC)
