Orphaned non-free image (Image:LL1L8336.jpg)

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:LL1L8336.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 06:15, 11 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:A1GP logo.gif

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:A1GP logo.gif. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Templates

edit

I notice that you joined several motorsports WikiProjects, including AOWR & NASCAR (both of which I am a member of too). Please discuss major changes to WikiProjects, especially adding new templates, with WikiProject members so that all considerations can be made by the WikiProject members. For instance, you created the color scheme used at Template:NASCAR driver results legend. I would have commented that Top 5 and Top 10 finishes in NASCAR should get different colors since the are considered to be in different categories. I also would have started a discussion to find out if WikiProject members think it is more important for second and third place finishes to match the colors used by other motorsports WikiProjects, or if they should get a generic Top 5 color since second place is not considered special but merely a Top 5 finish. Discussions such as these are healthy because others think of things that you might not, and a better end product is reached (and it is reached quicker with less controversy).

Also, since you have such a wide variety of motorsports interests, your input could be valuable to WikiProject Motorsport. This WikiProject exists as a parent WikiProject to the other WikiProjects. WP:MOTOR is mainly used for policy and template discussion and coordination. Having an overseeing motorsport WikiProjects is very important for drivers that have moved around a lot such as Mario Andretti, Juan Pablo Montoya, John Andretti, Raul Boesel, etc. Royalbroil 04:25, 21 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

I appreciate you starting a discussion at WikiProject NASCAR! I look forward to working with you at WP:NASCAR, WP:AOWR, and WP:MOTOR. Royalbroil 14:58, 21 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Several users have started a conversation at WP:MOTOR about the possible downgrading of the A1 GP WikiProject to taskforce staus. I have notified you because your name is on the A1 GP Members list. The discussion is ongoing, and is located here. Davnel03 18:40, 4 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Duplicate images uploaded

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Kit body Redspikes.png. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Kit body redspikes.png. The copy called Image:Kit body redspikes.png has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Speedy deletion of "BATracer"

edit

A page you created, BATracer, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is about a website, but it does not indicate how it is important or significant, and thus why it should be included in an encyclopedia. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and the guidelines for websites in particular.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Speedy deletion nomination of DeStorm Power

edit

A tag has been placed on DeStorm Power, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 01:08, 24 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, please do not add promotional material to articles or other Wikipedia pages, as you did to DeStorm Power. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" is against Wikipedia policy and not permitted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 01:08, 24 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Articles for deletion nomination of DeStorm Power
