License tagging for Image:CaspianX.Jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:CaspianX.Jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 23:06, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

Good

I knew the there was something else I was supposed to check. Just saw the cast list, very well done, better than I would have done. I read, might rearrange some of the Order, it seems a bit of a stretch to have them all on one line. Gran2 12:42, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

Harry Potter theme park stuff

That's fine, as soon as I saw there was already a mention of the theme park in the main article, I told Kirtay it had been done. --Deathphoenix ʕ 12:35, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

Dursleys

Hi Fbv65edel, I reverted your edit concerning Marge Dursley. Cornelius Fudge refers to her as "Marjorie" in Ch. 3 of PoA, so it is canon. Cheers. :) faithless (speak) 00:10, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

No problem. I don't blame you for being skeptical, what with the high level of cruftiness to be found in HP articles, especially all the fanboys out there who insist that Fred's full name is Frederick, or try to call Harry Henry. And don't even get me started on those who add Professor to names as if it is the character's first name. :P faithless (speak) 03:16, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

Your edits to User:Bylandl

Hey... if you have a problem with something on someone's user page, and it's not a major violation of wiki policy or anything, you really should mention it to the user, rather than changing their page. Discuss it with them first, rather than just up and changing the page. People usually like their user pages the way they are. Ok? Gscshoyru 01:57, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

Hey, I totally agree with you. But consider that Bylandl is one of my best friends, I figured it wasn't a problem, just keeping an eye out for her. :) In any other situation, of course, I would have spoken to the user on their talk page. Cheers, Fbv65edel / ☑t / ☛c || 02:24, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
Oh. Good friends? Well then, I had nothing to worry about. Sorry then -- you should probably change it back. Sorry for being troublesome. Gscshoyru 02:26, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

HP5

Congrats on getting it to GA! And I'll do all I can to help you get it to an even higher level. The DVD sounds like it'll be a great source of info so it should expand the page. So on to 6, which should start having a wealth of info released soon when filming starts. Gran2 14:39, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

Not just the DVD but I think its an unwritten policy that a film article can't be an FA until a few months after the DVD or something, that's why Casion Royale failed its first FAC. As for 6 casting, I've really been expecting some for a few weeks, but alas no. Next week should be the key though, when filming starts. As far as I can assatain, everyone new has been cast, as Rupert said they'd done a table reading. But Slughorn's been cast, whoever it is, and if he's in Scrimgeour is Bill Nighy. So they we go. Fair use rationale for Image:JimBroadbentDigoryKirke.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:JimBroadbentDigoryKirke.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — pd_THOR | =/\= | 10:15, 27 September 2007 (UTC)

Careful copying cited material

Re this edit: I had to dig that cut-n-paste from Harry Potter fandom to Harry Potter because the cites in the cut section used names of cites that weren't in the cut section for this fix. Something to check before completing a cut-n-paste relocation of text. -- JHunterJ 11:48, 27 September 2007 (UTC)

Re: Image:Lavenderbrownopenauditions.jpg

I did unfortunately not take this picture, and I am aware it would simplify the licensing procedure. The image was taken from Veritaserum.com > Galleries > Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince - Miscellaneous > Lavender Brown Auditions - July 2007 > Image 3. I hope the above helps.
