Reply: Wikibreak
Hi,
I apologize if I have overlooked something, but since that page does not have the Wikipedia Humor or anything that signifies that the content may be humorous (or not serious, just as a joke), I took those edits as vandalism and removed them. I hope you can make the relevant changes to the article to prevent future misunderstanding with other Wikipedia Editors, especially new ones. Oliverlyc (talk) 06:48, 16 December 2010 (UTC)
- Okay. I guess that humor template could work, but there is serious content on there as well. I guess I will leave the page as it is. But eh, thanks for replying. Hard to get a response from some people around here :P I'm Flightx52 and I approve this message 17:42, 16 December 2010 (UTC)

Sometimes, there is an example on my user page, when I edit WP there is the presence of a {{{1}}} somewhere in my edit. For example, look in the about me section on my user page. After the word English, there is a {{{1}}}. What causes this and how can I fix it? I'm Flightx52 and I approve this message 06:24, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
- It looks like you copypasted a template. The "1" refers to the first argument of a template, so if someone transcluded your user page (as a template), and provided an argument to it, it would appear where the {{{1}}} would. For example, try editing User:Flightx52/Sandbox with the the following: {{User:Flightx52|Some random text}} and see how it renders. When going to edit the page, you'll still see {{{1}}}, but when you view the page normally, you'll see "Some random text"" where the {{{1}}} was. On a related note {{{1|other text...}}} is confusing shorthand for "display the first parameter, but if the first parameter isn't specified, then output 'some other text...' instead" --slakr\ talk / 07:12, 22 December 2010 (UTC)

Sure thing, I've added you to the approved list so you should be able to run it now, let me know if you have any problems. Also, please make sure you read through the WP:CSD carefully before tagging any pages, and remember it's much better to end up with a good article than a deleted one! Merry Christmas - Kingpin13 (talk) 20:17, 25 December 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you Kingpin. However, following the directions you have on your user sub page about WA, it gives me an error upon startup.
Unhandled exception has occured in your application. If you click continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click quit, the application will close immediately.
And so, it will not let me log in. Any advice? I'm Flightx52 and I approve this message 05:55, 26 December 2010 (UTC)
- Double check that you've got DotNetWikiBot.dll in the same directory as the Alerter.exe that you're running. Is this error occurring as soon as you open the program, or only when you start logging in? You should get more info about the error than that, try pressing the "Details" button, and copy and paste to me the text in there (note, that text will include your User name, so you may want to blank that out if you don't share your real name online) - Kingpin13 (talk) 19:11, 26 December 2010 (UTC)

- JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this application or computer (machine.config) must have the jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section. The application must also be compiled with debugging enabled.
For example:
<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer rather than be handled by this dialog box.
- Yeah, it also needs to be next to the WikiCSD.dll file which comes with the program :) - Kingpin13 (talk) 21:25, 31 December 2010 (UTC)
- Right right. Well being semi-computer illiterate I thought I did your process right. But I guess not. Could you give me a step-by-step? And also tell me what "needs to be next to" means. I mean, it should be obvious, but apparently it isnt :P I'm Flightx52 and I approve this message 07:23, 1 January 2011 (UTC)
- By "next to" I mean "in the same directory as". So download WikiAlerter from sourceforge, then download DotNetWikiBot (separately) and unzip DotNetWikiBot. Copy DotNetWikiBot.dll into the clipboard. Then unzip the alerter download. Paste the DotNetWikiBot.dll into the same directory as Alerter.exe unpackaged to, and then double click the Alerter.exe - Kingpin13 (talk) 09:20, 1 January 2011 (UTC)

Added template for SuggestBot
Hi,
Thanks for being one of SuggestBot's users! I hope you have found the bot's suggestions useful.
We are in the process of switching from our previous list-based signup process to using templates and userboxes, and I have therefore added the appropriate template to your user talk page. You should receive the first set of suggestions within a day, and since we'll be automating SuggestBot you will from then on continue to receive them regularly at the desired frequency.
We now also have a userbox that you can use to let others know you're using SuggestBot, and if you don't want to clutter your user talk page the bot can post to a sub-page in your userspace. More information about the userbox and usage of the template is available on User:SuggestBot/Getting Recommendations Regularly.
If there are any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch with me on my user talk page. Thanks again, Nettrom (talk) 23:55, 13 February 2011 (UTC)

thanks for help on Stealth Magazine page (renaming)
ok thanks. I thought the mag name was a proper noun though - as it is a physical print magazine, and Stealth Magazine is its proper name. like the Northwestern University example on the wp:lowercase page. (ie it's not Steath (magazine) similar to how it's not Northwestern (university)) I'll try and find the other articles that link to this and change them if this can't be moved Kathodonnell (talk) 03:08, 9 March 2011 (UTC)

I would like to inquire
You have recently deleted some sort of "attack" on the page of a Wikipedia user whom I am unfamiliar with. If you could provide evidence of this, that would be great. Thanks! --71.7.192.187 (talk) 22:24, 17 March 2011 (UTC)
- Ah, well I believe this would be considered an attack. Calling sombody a fag is definitely not the right way to approach things. I'm Flightx52 and I approve this message 22:27, 17 March 2011 (UTC)
