That documentary feels worthy of your work. I have long found it astounding, offensive, that segregation existed in the USA in my lifetime. It was a shock as a British kid to see the race issues the US had during the 1960s. While the UK was "better" we still had attitudinal problems, probably still do.
Finding sources, though, that seems harder. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 08:14, 16 October 2022 (UTC)
- I have started User:Timtrent/As If We Were Ghosts, and would value your collaboration there. Because I am in the UK I have found that the sources are behind a GDPR firewall, and I can get very little further. I have even had to use Yahoo instead of the real Valdosta Daily Times.
- I do not have sufficient cultural awareness of (eg) Juneteenth to be able to make this the article it might be. I'm not sure I can do more than scratch the surface. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 08:32, 16 October 2022 (UTC)
- At present I am seeing little hope of its passing WP:NFILM. There is, however, potential for merging it into other articles if needs be. A bit of power from your research sources may let us ignore film notability and bypass it to GNG 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 08:45, 16 October 2022 (UTC)
- I'm struggling to find independent reviews of the documentary. Please do edit the draft I've started. Your edits will be more than welcome. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 10:43, 16 October 2022 (UTC)
- When we decide it's ready I have the image to upload as fair use for the infobox. I'm off for a bite of lunch. I reckon some time this afternoon I can move it to mainspace and let it take its chances. Unless you disagree. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 11:07, 16 October 2022 (UTC)
- It's not only notable it's a bery interesting piece of the puzzle. A list of all the leagues high schools would be great. Great work. FloridaArmy (talk) 11:43, 16 October 2022 (UTC)
- I'm not sure any of your notes on the talk page can be cited where they are blogs and podcasts. Not at all sure about the lady whose name I have misplaced.
- Thank you for fleshing it out. I had limited access to US sources.
- I also like the work you have done on the draft that led me to it. The merge is just fine, and I think the freestanding article will work also 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 13:24, 16 October 2022 (UTC)
