Hello, I'm Mattythewhite. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Andrey Arshavin, but you didn't provide a reliable source. If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Please use the correct date format

edit

Hi. When you add references to articles, please copy the date format used on the article. If an article uses the date first (e.g. 15 January 2019), adapt the date in the reference you're adding to that format. Please don't just copy American date format (month first, e.g. January 15, 2019) to every article. You have recently been editing a number of articles and not doing this. Thank you. Correct footnotes on certification table

Hi Sanslogique. I noticed you were adding certification tables to articles, and I would like to ask you to please take more effort to make sure the footnotes you use on certification tables are correct. To set the footnotes you can edit the parameters of {{Certification Table Bottom}}. For example in this edit you created an article with a table, which I corrected in this edit. The exact same issue also happened in Zhivi spokoyno, strana!. I'd be happy to assist if you have any questions. As always, your work is appreciated. Please remember to adapt the date format of references you copypaste

edit

Hi. Recently, you added year-end chart positions to various articles, but used the same date format when copypasting the reference between articles. Most non-American topics on Wikipedia use dmy dates, so that means the date is formatted "6 January 2021", not "January 6, 2021". Please take note of what date format the article you're editing uses, and change the date format in your reference before saving. Thank you. Ss112 18:21, 5 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Wikipedia categories named after Serbian musicians

edit

A tag has been placed on Category:Wikipedia categories named after Serbian musicians indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". UK year-end charts

edit

Just to let you know, the charts that originally appeared in Music Week and Record Mirror for the years 1970 to 1977 were later revised and changed by the OCC, but they only published a top ten of the revised chart for each year. So you may run into difficulties if you add year-end positions for albums that were in the top ten for a particular year, because the positions in Music Week from the 1970s won't match the positions given now by the OCC. Richard3120 (talk) 20:09, 30 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

Here's an example of the contradictions you are creating by adding outdated year-end charts... Desire by Bob Dylan was no. 13 according to the BMRB for the 1976 year-end chart in Music Week, but later research by the OCC has placed it at no. 9.[1] So which one are you going to stick with? Hi, per WP:CHARTTRAJ, key facts such as number of weeks on the chart may be mentioned in the article text, but should not be included as routine data. Meaning, you need to have a rationale and show relevance as why the info is important to include, but it shouldn’t just be part of a table. Thanks. StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 05:17, 2 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

It means there should be a reason to show that information, like a record length on the charts or some other noteworthy accomplishment. You can then include that info in the text. To include it just to include it is mere trivia. Peak position is fine but it makes no difference if a song spent 12 weeks on a chart or 21 weeks. December 2023

Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! Alexeyevitch(talk) 13:00, 8 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Autopatrolled rights?

edit

Hello! I noticed your contributions to music pages and that they are generally of very good quality. Have you considered applying for autopatrolled rights? This way your pages will be automatically marked as "reviewed" and will not have to manually be reviewed by a new page patroller. If you're interested, you can apply here: Wikipedia:Requests for permissions/Autopatrolled. All the best, and thanks for your contributions, Broc (talk) 13:34, 27 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Autopatrolled granted

edit

Hi Sanslogique, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the autopatrolled user right to your account. This means that pages you create will automatically be marked as 'reviewed', and no longer appear in the new pages feed. Autopatrolled is assigned to prolific creators of articles, where those articles do not require further review, and may have been requested on your behalf by someone else. It doesn't affect how you edit; it is used only to manage the workload of new page patrollers.

Since the articles you create will no longer be systematically reviewed by other editors, it is important that you maintain the high standard you have achieved so far in all your future creations. Please also try to remember to add relevant WikiProject templates, stub tags, categories, and incoming links to them, if you aren't already in the habit; user scripts such as Rater and StubSorter can help with this. As you have already shown that you have a strong grasp of Wikipedia's core content policies, you might also consider volunteering to become a new page patroller yourself, helping to uphold the project's standards and encourage other good faith article writers.

Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! Just Step Sideways from this world ..... today 22:16, 6 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for uploading File:Iryna Bilyk - Biłyk.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:38, 9 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
