re: Assist request page

edit

Oops, did I violate protocol on the Assist Request page by expressing appreciation for an intervention? Sorry, if so it was inadvertent. Fragesteller (talk) 03:31, 14 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

I'm not sure I understand what you mean. Where did you express that appreciation, and who told you it violated the "decorum" of the page? User:Dorftrottel 10:20, February 14, 2008

Uh, well, no one, but it just disappeared. I had written "I very much appreciate the intervention of Mike Christie and Dorftrottel," or something very close to that. When I next looked, it was gone. No big deal, I was just wondering whether this was considered inappropriate. Anyway, thanks for your intervention. It has saved me a good deal of time and aggravation.Fragesteller (talk) 00:41, 15 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

You're welcome. Also, you probably didn't hit save on that comment, since there is no such edit in your contribs. Not important though, just me being curious. User:Dorftrottel 20:58, February 15, 2008

Evidences of Asturian translations

edit

Hi, Fragesteller. What kind of evidence do you need for Asturian translations? I can only give you the link for ordering the book in the official webpage of the editorial here. Please contact with me for further information. I've got the book. By the way, the second book is being in proccess of editing too. Greetings. --Esbardu (talk) 18:38, 24 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hi, Esbardu. I know that the Asturian translation exists; we already have a link to the Trabe page in this article. However, Trabe is not on the list of authorized publishers at jkrowling.com and the Asturian translation is not listed there. Also, the Christopher Little Literary Agency has indicated that "at this time there is no formal agreement for an Asturian translation of the Harry Potter series." I'm not sure what this means but these are the reasons I inserted the footnote that you have referenced. Do you have any information to indicate that the Asturian translation was authorized by J.K. Rowling or her representatives? Fragesteller (talk) 00:13, 12 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
Sorry for the delay of the answer, Fragesteller. I've got information on first hand (the translator himself). He asks when and where did Christopher Little Literary Agency said there was not formal agreemet. He signed the last document with this Agency on march 28, 2011, but the licence agreement was accepted on fall 2009. I can't show you any documents about that. Perhaps it would be a good idea to ask CLLA again to confirm the formal agreement. --Esbardu (talk) 22:53, 7 May 2011 (UTC)Reply
My last communication with CLLA was in January of this year, but I will try to contact them again and let you know what I hear. Fragesteller (talk) 08:11, 12 May 2011 (UTC)Reply
Hi Fragesteller. At last, The Blair Partnership agency (the new agency of J.K. Rowling instead of Christopher Little) has opened its page, and they confirm the asturian oficial translation of Ediciones Trabe here. So now there is evidence for deleting the reference #15 of Harry Potter in translation. Greetings! --Esbardu (talk) 22:51, 13 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for the information. I have removed the reference. Fragesteller (talk) 12:47, 14 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
