Hi
editFeel free to ask me if you need help with anything here. I usually Google "wiki xyz" if I want to know about a specific policy or template. HelenOnline 14:42, 15 November 2013 (UTC)
Thank you. I'll do that... 1. When people answer someone in these pages, I see that there are an indent. How do I get that indent? 2. In your User profile, I see that you mention your province (Western Cape) and your MBTI type. How do I put mine? I can't find the correct links. 3. Also, I want to mention that I'm interested in photography and field hockey. Where do I find those codes? I did find many codes in the Userboxes tab, but can't find those specific ones... - Sorry for the delay responding, I had to unplug everything yesterday due to a big storm here.
- When replying to another user's comment, start with a colon for a plain indent. A hashtag will add a number. An asterisk will add a bullet point. Always leave a blank line if you are not using any of these and you want the text that follows to start on a new line (Wikipedia ignores all but one space otherwise).
- You can find SA location userboxes at Wikipedia:Userboxes/Location/South Africa and MBTI userboxes at Wikipedia:Userboxes/Health#MBTI.
- See Wikipedia:Userboxes/Interests_N_to_Z#Photography and Wikipedia:Userboxes/Sports. There is an overview of various userbox categories in Template:WP:UBS. Some userboxes haven't been made yet and some are not shared (not 100% sure if anyone can use those), in that case you can make your own (and share them). HelenOnline 07:10, 16 November 2013 (UTC)
- Thank you for that information User:HelenOnline...
- You don't need to apologize for delaying...
- I don't demand responses in short times... Any responses is welcome, even if I have to wait a few days... You have already helped a lot...
- If you are interested in photography, you should also create an account at Wikimedia Commons. Mine is here. HelenOnline 15:16, 16 November 2013 (UTC)
- How do I do that? Is there a link somewhere on the Wikimedia Commons page where I should go to create a page? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Freddie2012a (talk • contribs) 17:27, 17 November 2013 (UTC)
- On the top right of the main page there should be a link that says "Create account". HelenOnline 19:54, 17 November 2013 (UTC)
- Is it possible to change my username?
Can I also ask questions here? Freddie2016 (talk) 11:32, 5 January 2017 (UTC)
Marathon running
editThis section will be dedicated to my goal to run Comrades Marathon in 2015.
I am currently brilliantly unfit. So I have a lot of training to do.
I'm guessing that part of my training might include me running races like Soweto Marathon, Om die dam marathon and Two Oceans Marathon.
Freddie2012a (talk) 15:13, 22 November 2013 (UTC)
In an article in Runner's World (UK Edition), I saw that Comrades Marathon and Two Oceans Marathon are among the 20 races that a person have to do.[1]
Others on that list, include:
- Paris Marathon
- Berlin Marathon
- Athens Marathon
- North Pole Marathon
- Swiss Alpine Running Festival
- Chicago Marathon
- Boston Marathon
- New York City Marathon
- Reggae Marathon
- Great Wall Marathon
- Everest Marathon
- Marathon des Sables
- Great Ethiopian Run
- Inca Trail Marathon
If I were to make that list, I might have included London Marathon as well.
