Administrators' noticeboard
editHi Freddy, just to let you know that there is a thread at the Administrators' noticeboard that directly concerns you. See Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard#Freddyboytoy. Your comments there would be welcome. Regards, AlasdairGreen27 (talk) 20:42, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
Warning
editConsider this a formal warning. Your pattern of editing is extremely disruptive. Unless you begin to seek and respect the opinions of other editors, there is no option except to block you. looie496 (talk) 22:09, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
- I fully reject your reply- Fine, block me, I dont care, I reject your reply, did you read evidence i provided from your own wikipedia? Read b4 u vandalize!
The serious warning
editFreddy, please do not joke about being blocked. Wikipedia cares a lot about the fact that anyone can edit at any time. But for this system to work, people have to work together. If you continue to demonstrate that you cannot, I will block you, unless another admin beats me to it. For now, I want to give you some advice. Let's start with WP:AGF, our "assume good faith" poliocy (please follow the links to read the policies). What does assume good faith mean? For starts, it means that you should assume that I am writing this in good faith - that I truly wish to help you be a succesful editor. What does assume good faith mean in terms of your recent conflicts? Well, I am sure that the people who reverted you assumed you were acting in good faith, which means this: they figure that having been active here for only about a month, you don't yet understand how we work. Now, you should assume good faith on their part, which means this: since the people who reverted you are experienced editors, you should assume that they have a good reason for reverting your edits and before you do any more editing you should find out their reasons and make sure you understand them. Slrubenstein | Talk 22:29, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
Here is the next really important policy for you: WP:CON, our policy on consensus-based edits. Anyone can edit, meaning anyone can delete, meaning anyone can delete any edit you make. If you just make edits in order to see them deleted then you are not taking us seriously and we will block you. But if you really want to participate in building a great encyclopedia, you must want your edits to last, which means others have to find them acceptable, and you have to be willing to collaborate with others. So read this policy carefully and make sure you act in its spirit. Slrubenstein | Talk 22:31, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
Here is the next set of policies you need to learn, immediately: WP:V, WP:NOR and WP:RS. These policies all get to the fact that this is an encyclopedia and encyclopedias have to be based on research; these policies provide the basic standards we hold for research. The point is that sometimes you need to do some research before you edit, and make sure your edits show the good research you have done. The policies will explain to you exactly what all this entails. Slrubenstein | Talk 22:34, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
There are two final policies I think you shoulod study before you do any more editing. WP:NPOV is our non-negotiable policy and provides a framework for editors with different views to work together. It also helps explain a good deal of what we want to add to our articles and what we do not want to add. WP:NOT is the final policy I think you really need to read carefully. After NPOV, this policy pretty much finishes the job of explaining what we do and do not want in our articles. Slrubenstein | Talk 22:36, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
I know we have a LOT of policies, but I really think that if you just read the ones I specified carefully, you will be well on the road to succesful editing, and as you run into trouble you can always ask other editors to explain what you did wrong and what other policies you may need to study. Take a few days to study these policies carefully and you will be richly rewarded by seeing your edits last, and your contributions to Wikipedia make a difference. I will not block you because I am hoping that you will understand that I am giving you this advice to help you, and that it is good advice, so you will follow it before doing any more editing. But do take warnings about blocks seriously. Thanks, Slrubenstein | Talk 22:39, 18 November 2008 (UTC)

editThe recent edit you made to Economic history of Chile constitutes vandalism, and has been reverted. Please do not continue to vandalize pages; use the sandbox for testing. Thank you. Say Headcheese!--hexaChord2 23:22, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
Blocked
editOkay, since you disregarded my advice, I have blocked you. This is to give you a week to read the policies I listed, and to think about why no other editor, of hundreds of thousands, at Wikipedia feel your edits are worth anything. This does not mean you are not capable of contributing. But you need to learn how. Slrubenstein | Talk 23:51, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
