New Pages
edithello GOALAWAY, and thank you for your contributions. Please review the page at WP:CITE, and consider placing the references in the correct "References" section using the {{Reflist}} template. Many thanks. --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 06:31, 1 October 2011 (UTC)
The article Mohammad Jamal has been proposed for deletion because, under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. editHi, I notice that you have been removing the {{reflist}}
template from several articles, such as Ahmad Abdel-Halim, Baha' Abdul-Rahman, Bashar Bani Yaseen and others. Please don't do that - this template is important, because it is facilitates the display of inline references which use the <ref>...</ref>

Since you re-uploaded a high-resolution copyrighted logo anyway, you have been blocked so that you will have some time to understand Wikipedia copyright policy. Should this recur after your block expires, a subsequent block could be permanent. editPlease don't revert my edits without explanation especially since some of your revisions don't quite make sense such as the international goals section. Banana Fingers (talk) 08:49, 24 February 2012 (UTC)
Do what you want, but don't mix his full international goals with the non-full international ones! Again, he only has 15 full international goals while his caps count isn't clear due to the amount of missing data at national-football-teams.com unless you have another source that provides his accurate caps count. Banana Fingers (talk) 09:59, 25 February 2012 (UTC)
Abdallah Deeb's goals at the 2011 Pan Arab Games don't count towards his senior team goals!!!!!!! Jodran did not send their full national team to the competition so STOP putting his goals from that tournament into the senior section!!!!!!!!!! Banana Fingers (talk) 17:31, 11 September 2012 (UTC)

Flags in infoboxes
editHi GOALWAY - please be aware of WP:INFOBOXFLAG, which prohibits flags in infoboxes. Regards, GiantSnowman 15:16, 3 September 2012 (UTC)
- No, I am not in charge of flags/infoboxes - nobody is. As WP:INFOBOXFLAG says, "Generally, flag icons should not be used in infoboxes, even when there is a "country", "nationality" or equivalent field: they are unnecessarily distracting and give undue prominence to one field among many" - I'm not sure why you were not told about this before, and just because some articles have flags in infoboxes is no argument for including them - see WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS. This is not a major issue; all you have to do is take on board the guideline I have linked to, and not use flags on articles. Regards, GiantSnowman 19:31, 3 September 2012 (UTC)
- What Giant said. The point of not having flags in info boxes is fourfoldfold;
- Nationality "flag waving" isn't encyclopaedic and can give an undue emphasis to nationality that is warranted.
- Wikipedia is primarily text based. Images should only be used if they add something to the information, not just because they look pretty. Very often the information flags convey can just as easily be simple text. Text also also doesn't rely on the reader recognising the flag.
- Info boxes are intended to be a clear, concise summary, cluttering it with icon decoration detracts from that.
- Images like flags can make things more complicated for some web-browsers (e.g. screen readers for the blind ). Again, info boxes should strive to be accessible to the maximum number of people.
- Please don't let the many and complicated guidelines put you off editing! We all learn these things as we go! --Escape Orbit (Talk) 14:27, 4 September 2012 (UTC)
September 2012
editHello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be engaged in an edit war with one or more editors. Although repeatedly reverting or undoing another editor's contributions may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, and often creates animosity between editors. Instead of edit warring, please try to reach a consensus on the talk page.
If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. While edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, breaking the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. Thank you. Lone boatman (talk) 21:40, 3 September 2012 (UTC)
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Lone boatman (talk) 15:20, 6 September 2012 (UTC)

Concerns
editHi GOALWAY. I saw your note on Banana Finger's user page, and looked at some of your edits, and I'm a bit concerned. First of all no one owns a Wikipedia article--they're not "yours". As part of posting on Wikipedia, you are agreeing that your words are being CC-BY-SA licensed, such that anyone can change them, remove them, add to them, or even copy them and use them elsewhere. Wikipedia is a collaborative environment, meaning that people work together to make articles better. You can't attempt to dictate what is or isn't on any given page. This is especially a problem if you are editing in ways that violate our policies and guidelines, such as your insertion of flags into infoboxes. Please carefully look over some of the things people have said to you. If you don't want others to edit or revert your works, then, ultimately, you need to find another website like your own personal blog. Please let me know if you have any questions, and I will try to help. Qwyrxian (talk) 03:34, 16 November 2012 (UTC)
- In response to your comment on my talk page, I have to say that you're still wrong: this is not your life's work. This is a collaborative environment where people work together. I guess I should have been more clear above: if you are unwilling to work with others, and you continue to violate our policies and guidelines, you are going to be blocked. I'm trying to help you learn how to edit in a way that allows you to keep working on this topic you clearly care about. But, first and foremost, you have to be willing to work together and follow rules. Qwyrxian (talk) 00:45, 17 November 2012 (UTC)

Hello, GOALWAY. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Ammar Abu Aleeqa, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:
- edit the page
- remove the text that looks like this:
{{proposed deletion/dated...}}
- save the page
Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks, SarahStierch (talk) 03:11, 6 January 2013 (UTC)

Request reason:
your reason here: I'm sorry, there must be a mistake. You blocked me because you thought I'm Aminul802. Please have a look at all the articles I have created and edited since I have created my own account here on this website. My edits are completely different and do not involve anything Aminul802 has ever done. Aminul is a relative of mine and has used his laptop here in my home before, sharing the same IP address as me. If you take a look at our records, or contributions to Wikipedia, you'll see that we are two different people using different IP addresses most of the time. Please (have someone) check which IP addresses we've been using to see that we sometimes share the same IP address but not all the time because he only visits me every once in a while. I don't mean to cause any trouble I'm just trying to make contributions, and I mean no harm. GOALWAY (talk) 23:56, 16 January 2013 (UTC)

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
- I find it very hard to believe your story when you edit with your IP logged out first, and then proceed to post this unblock request. Furthermore you just switched to this account for an unblock when it was clear your other one wasn't going to be unblocked. And to top it all off, there are facts that don't match up between your statement, and the other's account statement, meaning "one of you" (or as I suspect, the same person) is lying. -- DQ (ʞlɐʇ) 02:31, 17 January 2013 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Feras Saleh
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Feras Saleh, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Sir Sputnik (talk) 04:31, 25 December 2013 (UTC)

The article Sufian Abdullah has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Fails WP:NSPORT.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Nagol0929 (talk) 15:44, 28 November 2023 (UTC)
