Hi, {{helpme}} What is it im ment to use my page for?

I mean like what can I put info about me? what I do for a living? my interests etc?

I dont want to put something im not ment to which is why I ask, do I put personal stuff (not like phone number etc but what I asked above)

Hi there. You can put almost anything that you want on your user page, which is User:GSL-Nathan - it is up to you. Some people say a little about themselves, others prefer to remain anonymous. As you mentioned, you shouldn't put too many personal details, or advertizing, or anything 'offensive'. See Wikipedia:User page.

Some people put userboxes on their user page, which are small stylized boxes mentioning their interests - for example, putting {{User:N4nojohn/Userboxes/Mozart}}makes the box shown here; See Wikipedia:Userboxes/Gallery.

This user's favorite composer is Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

Your talk page, this one, is used for communicating with other Wikipedians, just like we're doing now.

You can also create user subpages, and you might like to put links to those on your user page, so that you can easily get to them - these are areas where you can test things out or work on a proposed article before making it live. For example, if I put here [[User:GSL-Nathan/testpage]], it will look like this: User:GSL-Nathan/testpage. That will be a red link because the page does not yet exist - but you can make it just by clicking it. Thus, you might want to put something like this on your user page;

My subpages are:
* [[User:GSL-Nathan/testpage]]
* [[User:GSL-Nathan/test]]
* [[User:GSL-Nathan/something else]]

...etc.

For more help, you can either;

• Leave a message on my own talk page; OR

First page/article

{{helpme}} When adding the links to my first post, I noticed that we have no page for "Online Marketing Development" so... would it be OK for me to make a start on one?

As I am new here I wouldn't want to jump in just incase I am only ment to add to old pages to start :) Plus would it be best to do as chzz said and start the page on a test page of my user page's'?

Well, perhaps rather than an entirely new page, you could just work on market development and expand it with content about online market development? That article is rather poor at the moment- any help you can give would be great, and don't forget to cite your sources! Multi-Gaming Clan

GSL-Nathan, welcome to Wikipedia. Good work on the Multi Gaming Clan, but I don't think there's enough material to write about a multi-gaming clan that isn't already included in Clan (Computer Gaming). A good way is usually to propose whatever you want to include on the target page, and if nobody raises any objections in a couple of days, go ahead and merge the information in.
