editWhen you come across a dead link, could you please take the time to search the Wayback Machine or WebCite to see if there's an archive of the link before simply removing it? That way, information can be retained while still being verifiable. Thanks. clpo13(talk) 21:05, 21 July 2016 (UTC)
Regarding this:
From [1]:
[...] he decided to attend the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana for college. He received a bachelor's degree in theater [...]
And from [2]:
You were in Berlin from late 1988 to 1990
Is that clear enough? I get the impression you didn't even read the updated links before reverting. clpo13(talk) 21:40, 21 July 2016 (UTC)
Of course I read it. But is it enough that the subject of an interview self-reports his or her own credentials? As we've recently seen from the case of Wayne Simmons [3], anybody can say anything about themselves. Gadly Circus (talk) 22:11, 21 July 2016 (UTC)
- Yes, see WP:BLPSELFPUB. Unless there are other reliable sources to contradict it, mundane claims about college or spending a couple of years in another country can absolutely be backed up by the subject himself. Exceptional claims, such as in your example, are a different ballgame (see WP:EXCEPTIONAL) and require a much higher standard of sources. clpo13(talk) 22:19, 21 July 2016 (UTC)
