Template
Hi Ganeshk. I'm afraid I messed up Template:Taxonomy/Vetigastropoda while trying to change the automatic taxobox of Circlotoma. This genus has moved to another family in another superfamily. Can you undo my changes to the template and put the taxobox of Circlotoma in order ? The taxobox should read as follows: Gastropoda (Class) > Caenogastropoda (Subclass) > Littorinimorpha (Order) > Truncatelloidea (Superfamily) > Tornidae (Family). And while you're at it, can you also make the stubs for the missing articles in this genus ? Thanks. JoJan (talk) 15:58, 28 June 2013 (UTC)
- Hi JoJan, To fix Circlotoma the way you want it, we will have to make Caenogastropoda the parent of Littorinimorpha instead of Hypsogastropoda. Is that correct? — Ganeshk (talk) 03:48, 8 July 2013 (UTC)
- I don't know why you have to skip one clade, but essentially it still remains correct. The template of Circlotoma now states Cyclostrematidae as parent instead of Tornidae. JoJan (talk) 07:58, 8 July 2013 (UTC)
- JoJan, okay. I have fixed it now. — Ganeshk (talk) 12:12, 8 July 2013 (UTC)

The Template:Taxonomy/Margaritinae has to be changed, as Margaritinae has become the family Margaritidae, within the superfamily Trochoidea. JoJan (talk) 18:06, 4 July 2013 (UTC)
- This is done. — Ganeshk (talk) 03:48, 8 July 2013 (UTC)
I have also changed in you absence the Template:Taxonomy/Gazidae, as Gazidae has become a synonym of Margaritidae. Did I do this correctly ? JoJan (talk) 08:02, 8 July 2013 (UTC)
- Yes, that was good. — Ganeshk (talk) 11:52, 8 July 2013 (UTC)

Hi Ganesh, Thank you for inviting me to Wiki project India. I am relatively new to wiki, but I am interested in making Wiki better. Regards Sunaina Kunju (talk) 16:17, 4 August 2013 (UTC) Sunaina Hi Ganesh, I have modified the article Thalassery biryani as guided by you, to improve its quality. Please have a look at it. Also I need your help. The article got a disambiguation tag which I resolved but
http://toolserver.org/~dispenser/cgi-bin/dablinks.py?page=Thalassery_biryani
A link reverting back issue could not be resolved. Do you have any way in which this can be resolved? There is another link named Thalassery biriyani for Thalassery biryani, this could be mainly because of the pronunciation differences of different people. So please help if possible. Thanks and Regards--Sunaina Kunju (talk) 12:04, 9 August 2013 (UTC)

Ganeshbot
Hi, Ganesh. I'm starting to work on the family Liotiidae and I see that there is a lot of work to do for the Ganeshbot. A number of genera and a lot of species have no articles yet. The Template:Taxonomy/Circumstella and the Template:Taxonomy/Cyclostrema have to be changed to come in accordance with the family Liotiidae. The Template:Taxonomy/Cyclostrematidae has to be changed in Template:Taxonomy/Liotiidae as Cyclostrematidae has become a synonym of Liotiidae. I have made some changes to these templates, but I can't make them right somehow. If there are some points in the taxonomy you don't understand, please contact me. There is some urgency. Thanks. Hello Ganeshk, as (most probably) I have done and doing some works related WikiProject India in recent few months, recently after starting few esays, I thought to create Wikipedia:WikiProject India/What's New. Since you have been editing for a long time here. Can you please check and/or add other recent WikiProject India related works? (specially of last 1 year)? Discreliotia and Tornidae
Hi Ganesh.
1) Can you change the template of the genus and the species in Discreliotia, because they now belong in the family Tornidae instead of Liotiidae.
- Done
2) The template of Tornidae is no longer exact. It should read : Gastropoda -> Caenogastropoda -> Littorinimorpha -> Truncatelloidea - > Tornidae. I suppose this will have an implication on the existing templates of all the genera and species in Tornidae. At the same time, could you also fill in the missing articles in Tornidae. This is just too much to do manually. Thanks. JoJan (talk) 15:19, 12 September 2013 (UTC)

CSVLoader on Wiktionary
Hi Ganeshk,
I'm trying to create some pages on the Romanian Wiktionary using AWB and CSVLoader. I've tried to follow the your walkthrough for creating new pages, and I've used actually the same CSV and settings (just changed the user in the CSV). The list is loaded successfully, but no content is generated on the pages when I click Start - there is no text in the Edit box, and pages are not saved because there is no change.
Can you take a look? Maybe I'm missing a setting. The CSV and AVB settings you can download from here: http://www.fileshare.ro/e29891287
Thank you very much for this development and for support! Phaneb (talk) 11:52, 29 September 2013 (UTC)
- Hi @Phaneb: I used your settings file and input file to create User:Ganeshk/sandbox/ro/Chilakaluripet. It worked fine. Can you post step by step screenshots (upload to Commons) on what you were doing? That will help me troubleshoot the problem. Also, please give me AWB access on Romanian wiktionary. — Ganeshk (talk) 16:18, 29 September 2013 (UTC)
- Hi, I have created a Word document with the steps and screenshots, that you can download from here: http://www.fileshare.ro/e29895257
- I can't give you AWB access on the Romanian wiktionary as I'm not an administrator - I'm just a regular user with AWB access (maybe that is the issue). I can ask the administrators to give you access if you need.
- Thanks, Regards, Phaneb (talk) 11:53, 1 October 2013 (UTC)
- @Phaneb:, simple fix. Update the text file to use Utilizator: instead of User:. — Ganeshk (talk) 01:31, 3 October 2013 (UTC)

Vetigastropoda (unassigned)
Hi Ganesh. I see that your computer is up and running again. Could you take a look at Vetigastropoda (unassigned) and change the templates for the families, genera and species from Vetigastropoda --> Vetigastropoda (unassigned) ? If necessary, make new templates for the genera and species.
At the moment, I'm working on Skeneidae, a family recently promoted from the rank of subfamily Skeneinae. All templates in this family need upgrading to Skeneidae. Perhaps you can also make new templates for the existing genera and the species, as there are many.
There is no rush, as I'm leaving on a trip abroad in a couple of days and will be available again after 13 October. Thanks. JoJan (talk) 15:24, 1 October 2013 (UTC)

Templates
Hi Ganesh. I think I have botched up some templates. It concerns the Template:Taxonomy/Skeneidae which I tried to derive from Template:Taxonomy/Turbinidae (both are in the same superfamily Trochoidea), but somehow, an article such as Liocarinia disjuncta doesn't show the family Skeneidae in the Speciesbox. And I'm afraid all other Speciesboxes in Skeneidae show the family Skeneidae but may actually be linked to the template for Turbinidae. Can you help me out of this mess and can you make the templates for the genera in Skeneidae ? Thanks. JoJan (talk) 08:04, 24 October 2013 (UTC)
- @JoJan: Fixed. You missed adding the rank, Familia to the Skeneidae template. — Ganeshk (talk) 10:36, 24 October 2013 (UTC)
- I did, but, strangely enough, it showed up three times in the taxobox ! JoJan (talk) 12:41, 24 October 2013 (UTC)
- Why did you change Turbinidae template to point to Skeneidae? — Ganeshk (talk) 10:39, 24 October 2013 (UTC)
- The family Skeneidae is a polyphyletic assemblage (in other words: a mess) and will probably be split up into other families in the coming years. Therefore it is important that all the genera and species should have their own automatic taxobox, otherwise the manual work involved would be enormous (about 2,000 species). I tried to create the missing templates, starting from the template for Turbinidae as an example to work further on, but, as I said, I made a mess of it. I still don't understand this process very well. Can you look at the missing articles for species and genera in Skeneidae and create them ? JoJan (talk) 12:38, 24 October 2013 (UTC)
- The Template:Taxonomy/Turbinidae still shows in the left box : Skeneidae (instead of Turbinidae) and in the main box (family) Margaritidae (instead of Turbinidae). These are also my mistakes. JoJan (talk) 12:45, 24 October 2013 (UTC)
- @JoJan:, I have fixed them all. I have changed parent parameter on all the genus templates to Skeneidae. — Ganeshk (talk) 01:31, 25 October 2013 (UTC)

About CSVLoader
I dont't understand how to use your plugin. You explained bad in your tutorial:)
I need to create categories for stadiums by country (on other wikipedia). I created text file and i wrote in it:
Category:Stadiums in Albania, Albania Category:Stadiums in Andorra, Andorra
Then, in this window, in column headers i put
##article##,##country##
and in textarea I wrote
[[:Category:Stadiums by country|##country##]]
[[:Category:Sport in ##country##]]
Running AWB, nothing happened. Where i made mistake? Your tutorial/Walkthrough is not explained good enough. XXN (talk) 00:00, 7 November 2013 (UTC)

CSVLoader won't create articles
Hi, i need to create categories. But CSVL don't work for me:(
Look at my issues:
- input txt file https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Input(CSV).jpg
- settings for CSVLoader https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Settings(CSV,_XXN).jpg
- and AWB dont create artciles (catgories), it just skip with no changes them https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:No_result.jpg
- Collumn header separator is comma, in AWB skip option is settled if page exist. I dont understand why it doesn't work. :(
--XXN (talk) 23:57, 11 December 2013 (UTC) Maybe problem is in that i don't have the bot flag? If i CSV don't work without bot flag please remove this thing: it's my problem if i will be banned, but before of all i must test the bot (50 test articles created), and with this problem i can't do this. A question about CSVLoader
Hi, I wanted to let you know I left a question about CSVLoader on its talk page. Specifically about the auto-capitalization of target article names, perhaps you could make the earlier version (1.0.0.14. I think) available for download? Neitrāls vārds (talk) 21:47, 5 April 2014 (UTC)

Edit box empty
Hi Ganeshk. I've been trying to create new pages, but my attempts don't appear in the Edit box (bottom right window). My old settings / databases work fine. Is there a glitch, or is it me? Tried in both Excel (csv) and Open Calc (csv file); and on both accounts, some fields appear in the edit box and some don't. Has it anything to do with Reg Ex having been turned on, or could it be a Module? It may, of course be AWB! Many thanks. Llywelyn2000 (talk) 19:02, 6 May 2014 (UTC)
- Hi @Llywelyn2000:, I just tested. Works fine for me. I am able to see the changes on the edit box. You can try downloading the latest versions of both AWB and the plugin. If it does not work, post some sample data for me. — Ganeshk (talk) 03:06, 12 May 2014 (UTC)

Help in finding something
Dear Ganesh, Great Remover of Obstacles. Sometime within the last two or three months I had a conversation on someone's talk page who had contacted me because I had edited a lot of articles about California beaches. That editor had encouraged me to look out for new images and sometimes new articles about beaches, mostly in California and elsewhere on the West Coast which include an image of a beach (often with a cloudy sky) with a man posed with his back to the camera in a certain way. The uploader is a person who (over time) using multiple accounts to upload numerous different images like this -- it is all part of a so-called "art project" which he actually described on a/his web page. To me this is vandalism. I found a new one today but now, for the life of me, I cannot remember where to find the discussion we had about this. Do you have any idea how I could find this again? Invertzoo (talk) 01:15, 26 July 2014 (UTC)
I realize it may have been on Commons. It was sometime in June I think. Invertzoo (talk) 01:54, 26 July 2014 (UTC)
I think I have found the right person now. Invertzoo (talk) 12:58, 26 July 2014 (UTC)
Yup, i have all the infoI need now Ganesh, so please ignore this whole post. Hope everything is good with you. Invertzoo (talk) 14:36, 26 July 2014 (UTC)

Yes, still problems with my log in!
Hello Ganesh, I wonder if you have any suggestions about this problem. Just in the last couple of days, every single time I try to get onto Wikipedia I have to log in again and even chose a new password. I have not done anything that would erase all my cookies. Cookies are working on other sites, so I don't know why the problem is only on here, and on Wikimedia Commons. Any ideas what is going on and how I should fix it? Many thanks, Invertzoo (talk) 13:05, 29 August 2014 (UTC)
This morning the login problem solved itself for a while, but now it is back again, every time I go onto either Wikipedia or Commons, it's very annoying. Any suggestions? Thanks, Invertzoo (talk) 23:13, 30 August 2014 (UTC)
- Hi @Invertzoo:, this looks like a MediaWiki issue than a cookie issue. Not sure what the problem is. I have not looked, but there should be a page to report technical issues. I would suggest trying different browsers to see if problem the persists. — Ganeshk (talk) 14:27, 31 August 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks Ganesh. Right now it is good again, but I don't know if it will stay that way. If it goes on the blink again I will try Firefox. Thanks, Invertzoo (talk) 18:16, 31 August 2014 (UTC)

File source problem with File:Pingali venkayya.jpg
Thank you for uploading File:Pingali venkayya.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.
If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 13:53, 29 September 2014 (UTC)
